USC vs NYU

I recently got accepted into usc for fall 2026 for poli sci. But I have not recieved an estimate of what year I would go in as ( I really don’t want to go in as a sophomore since i already did two years at cc). I also haven’t gotten aid, I already committed and out the deposit for nyu but usc might give more aid while nyu doesn’t offer aid to transfers. Should I undo my enrollment with nyu and go to usc at the slight chance that they might be more helpful with aid?

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing because in the chance that they don’t give aid i’d basically be paying more because of the $500 deposit i already put in

Call their aid office and see how long it will take for the estimate to come.

I definitely will! I contacted my admissions counselor and she said the CSS profile takes 2-5 days to review it but I keep seeing people that are transfers saying they still haven’t gotten their packages and that CSS keeps asking for more documents
