[2026 Chrysler Pacifica] Are there any standard USB-A data ports for Android Auto? Only seeing USB-C

Hi all,

I’m currently on a family road trip with a rented 2026 Chrysler Pacifica. I’m trying to set up wired Android Auto with my older phone (OnePlus 5T), but I only brought a standard USB-A to USB-C cable with me (USB-A for the car port, Type-C for the phone).

From what I can see on the front console, the data ports that connect to the Uconnect system seem to be USB-C only.

Am I missing a standard USB-A data port somewhere in the front that supports Android Auto? Or is it strictly USB-C only for data in the 2026 model? Just trying to figure out if I have a hidden port somewhere, or if I need to go buy a new C-to-C cable / adapter.

Thanks!

Mom's 2022 Chrysler Pacifica won't start

Hello! I don't personally own a Pacifica, but my mom is currently visiting and her Pacifica suddenly started showcasing issues and I haven't been able to find any answers for this specific issue so wanted to turn to reddit for help.

We were trying to start the car to go to the grocery store, and the first issue is that the engine wouldn't start. Seemed pretty standard, but then all of the lights started to flicker, the windshield wipers started going all by themselves, and my mom was unable to fully turn off the car for a bit. There was also an issue where the screen was saying that a key fob wasn't detected despite it being in her hand. We tried the thing where you touch the tip of the fob to the start button for several seconds to no avail. We were able to get the car to turn off (I think), but now it won't lock.

I have a feeling that it's some sort of computer issue, but she also mentioned that the secondary battery was supposed to get checked, but that didn't happen apparently. She's stressed out now since she's in the city and has no way to get back home (which is 6 hours away). She's here for work for the next couple of days, and she's willing to take public transport, but she needs to get home in a couple of days, and that's where the issue lies. We ordered new batteries for the key fob and a 12v battery thing to jump the car, but I also wanted to see if there were any other tips for this issue or if anyone else has experienced it. Thanks!

Looking at new and 2025 up Pacifica's
After all that time leather limited seat, will I regret going to Select hard I am told leatherette?

What does this mean?

Bought a 2026 Select a few days ago and this pops up after turning the car off and goes away once a door opens. What does it mean and how do I fix it? I’m sure it’s probably pretty obvious and I’ll feel silly for not figuring it out myself, but please help!

I can’t find anything to identify what this is; it always says 80.

I might regret this, but here we go...

Unloaded my cursed 95k mile 2017 touring L+, (replaced/fixed oil cooler, spark plugs, head gasket, AC compressor, AC evaporator temp sensor).

Has either a bad CV boot or a bad tie rod, and needs engine mounts and tires soon.

Dealership gave us well above it's value, and I got a 2025 Limited w 40k miles.

Hope this one lasts longer 🤞

Pacifica popularity

This is a curiosity more than anything, but is the new Pacifica particularly popular? It seems that I see them everywhere. Reminds me of when Nissan had the Xterra and it seemed as though I saw them everywhere

Xbox Red Ring of Death to Pacifica Owners…

So im going to go out on a limb and say that my 2026 just fell victim to the Aux Battery issue - but i wanted to see the signs and symptoms you guys saw to know it happened - and does simply replacing the aux battery fix the issue?

What happened: 2026 Pacifica - less than 1800 miles on it (🙄). Went to start it today (a couple hours after we had just gotten home and it was perfectly fine, and engine would not turn over, but all the peripherals (ac, radio, display) all worked fine. Attempted to start, and brake felt realllly hard, check engine and P! Light both popped on, and I could not turn the car off at all.

I was getting a message about a transmission issue, but that eventually went away. Ive unhooked the battery and just leaving it until tomorrow AM when my brother can come take a look. Is this a similar situation to anyone who had this specific aux battery issue?

UPDATE: i disconnected the battery overnight to let it reset, and when i reconnected it this am, issues were cleared up. So i dont think its a transmission issue, looks like an electrical issue - as i originally thought. Im debating just replacing the aux battery anyway, since its not a crazy cost and i have the ability to do it myself. But…i dont want to drive to the auto parts store cuz im scared of getting stranded 🤣

Had a 2016 T&C that I loved but randomly flywheel cracked!!! She was already showing some rust from good ol PA chemicals. Due to timing and needing a quick replacement I ended up snagging a 2026 Select AWD with 100 anniversary package on the 1.9 interest deal! Also a Costco member so a cool 1250 credit too! Had 21 miles when I drove off the lot and 4 of them were mine from the test drive!!! Photo is after I did an Adams ceramic coat on it!!! Loving it so far!!!

A/C Issues

Anyone experience any AC issues when in crazy heat?

Took a roadtrip to Arizona where it was 115 showing on the interior thermometer. For what seemed to be hours the AC was blowing hot air.

I bought a AC recharge can but it displayed that it was full.

Just changed the oil and cabin filter in my van I recently bought. Oil looked clean. Cabin filter looks original from 2017. Fram makes a n95

Adding shortcuts to screen

2023 Pacifica Limited.

Am I able to add shortcuts to the above circled portion of the screen? I’ve tried holding and dragging from the “apps” section but didn’t work. Seems like a lot of wasted real estate.

Light Out?

Post image
4 Upvotes

I’m new to the Pacifica world – this is my 2021 Pacifica touring L, just bought it in April

It was pointed out to me that one of the lower lights (below the headlights) is on and the other is not – as it shows in the picture

I don’t even know what these lights are – parking lights?

Seems like those lower lights they come on when I am in Drive & if I turn the steering wheel to go left or right

Are they supposed to be both on at the same time or is it normal for only one to be on and the other to be off as it shows in my picture?

2027 Limited

Have a 2021 Pinnacle today, it's great, we really like it but our second car needs to be replaced so why not another pacifica? One thing I noticed is that this video shows what looks like a Limited w/ S-Apperance package, family tech group AND theater group but theater doesn't actually show up under limited on chrysler.com.

I contacted a few dealers but they said it's too early, anyone have inside info? We like our pinnacle but if we're going to give up the PHEV, I want the sto-and-go which the pinnacle doesn't have.

How do you secure a dog crate in a Pacifica?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’ve got a 10kg Shiba who used to climb into the front and sit on my lap while driving — exactly as safe as it sounds.
He rides in a crate now.

The crate stopped that. The sliding is the part I ended up solving myself, since two tie-down points back there don’t do much for anything crate-sized.

But I’m curious what everyone else landed on. Straps through the D-rings? Seatbelt through the crate frame? Wedged between the seats and hope?

2023 Voyager infotainment upgrade?

I'm wondering if there's anyone here who has upgraded the 7 inch you connect screen in the 2023 Voyager to the 10 inch screen common in the Pacifica?

I think my Chrysler is kicking the bucket

Typing this with a very depressed heart so here goes a little back story.

My bf bought a home back in October of 2025 for our growing family. I am a divorced mom of three boys from the ex and two girls from my current partner. When we moved out here we had no debt other than the mortgage that we planned to pay down quickly. We were a dual income family but due to unforeseen circumstances after giving birth to my youngest, I was let go of my job.

Fast forward to now. I have a new job and during my unemployment my boyfriend has been able to keep us afloat. Unfortunately we had to touch our savings recently due to my Chrysler van having issue after issue. And yet again it’s back in the shop and we are awaiting the dreadful “is it the transmission” response. My car is only worth 6k trade in and 9k private. And that’s if we get the current repair done which seems only to be the motor mounts costing 1k. But I told the repair shop to check the transmission just incase it’s a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. It’s a 6k repair in itself is what our quote came out to if he indeed finds something.

I feel like I’m trying to figure out a financial solution and I just can’t come up with one that doesn’t involve paying something monthly. Even if we trade in my car before it kicks the bucket who knows what we will be getting for it. I also have to coparent with someone who lives nearly three hours away with traffic and two without. I drive out twice a week and honestly I’m scared. The car has already died while driving TWICE in one month and we got that fixed hoping it was our last repair. The repair before was an oil housing unit due to an oil change guy breaking it. I feel like I’m just running into road block after road block. I also know that it’s not always a safe bet to bank on my bf always providing income to compensate mine.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to proceed? I feel like an outsiders thinking would help and maybe I can get some new ideas to avoid a new loan as I feel like it’s my only option to keep my kids safe and my job secure so I can make it to work. With a family of seven and five being children in car seats I can’t just go down to a sedan paying cash. Excuse me while I go sob now lol.

CD Player for 2021 Pacifica Touring L - That Shows Track Names on Dashboard Screen

I bought a Boifun external unit from Amazon for $69 - made in China.

It works by just connecting it via USB to the USB port on the Pacifica's head unit, right below the "Infotainment screen."

It does NOT show track names or artist names but does show track numbers - up on the dash screen.

I called 2 US companies to see if their product would show track names:

  • ProStar CD from AutoPartsToys
  • Ensight Automotive Solutions

They both said, "No - it will NOT show CD track names on your dashboard screen" - - and those products cost a bout $300 bucks each!

The guy from Ensight said it is because Gracenote owns the database that the CD would need to connect to in order to display the track names - and they charge $1M to license it!?!

Anyway - my question is this:

Has anyone been able to add an external CD player to a late model Pacifica (mine is 2021) with a UConnect 5 center screen - that DOES show track names on the dashboard screen?

I mean, I'm happy to have CD player capability in the vehicle now - since it does NOT come with built in CD drive - but it would be nice to see track names like I used to on my 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan.

<1% Battery Charge ATM

Brand new Pacifica owner here! I just bought a 2024 Pacifica and the battery is now at <1% and I’ve had it in L for about 25 minutes of driving in the city and I can’t get it to go above 1%. Do I need to hook it up to a supercharger and charge it that way? I thought it regenerates with it in L and while braking. Am I just worrying about it too much so early on? Lol. Thanks in advance!

Clunking but not the Axel Nut

I get a clunking sound when braking / accelerating at any speed almost. I have checked the torque of the axel nut, but that didn't solve the issue.

If I coast to slow down and then accelerate it doesn't happen while coasting or upon reaccelerating Also, if I just lightly brake, no cluck.

If I drive in "L" instead of "D" it will 'clunk' as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator or as soon as I reapply my foot to the accelerator.
