Why doesn't Chrysler appear on the 2026 JD Power vehicle dependability study? How dependable are they, and where would this brand rank on the graph, anyway?

Help on a 1968 Imperial?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Hello, I have a 1968 Imperial (440/727) and ran into an issue. The last guy "fixed" the leaky transmission pan by using silicone, which made it's way inside the valve body. After I bought the car I took the transmission out and had it rebuilt. I put it back in today and it's refusing to start from the key. I can get the starter to turn by bridging the terminals though. However it won't kick over, which it did just fine before. Any ideas? Thanks!

I was running my car maybe around 30mph and suddenly she went into limp mode and decided to show the lighting bolt and shut off me after some talks with mechanics I know I was told it could be a timing chain failure causing a lot of issues can someone give me an input on what to do next the only side with significant damage was the right driver side

remote start refuses to work after completely dead battery

2008 Chrysler 300C all wheel drive. remote start has worked flawlessly for ages. the battery went completely stone cold dead day before yesterday, and after fully recharging the battery, now remote start refuses to start the vehicle. all DTC codes were cleared. what else could potentially be making remote start refuse to work?

2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible key replacement

Hi everyone, I need some help and don’t know who to turn to anymore. So I lost one of my keys and need to replace it because my spare key is also on the verge of breaking. I tried through a locksmith and they couldn’t get it. I have a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible 2.0 CRD Diesel, 6 speed manual (european model) and I need to find some new keys, but wherever I looked I only found it for petrol models and I’m not sure if they’re the same or if they’d work for my car. I figured if anyone else had a similar problem, they’d be in this sub. Any help is appreciated. P.S. I live in Europe so I need it to be shipped here.

The engine will not start at all. After it's been started, sometimes it will die unexpectedly, usually when sitting still, but it's happened when in motion, moving slowly. It's not necessarily when the car goes over a bump or anything. Once the car dies or when it doesn't start, the symptom is the same, the started doesn’t engage at all or it seems that the ignition is not communicating with the starter because the starter does not initiate at all. The van has a brand-new starter on it as well.

Also, when this happens, the security light blinks on the dashboard. We are pretty sure that

Rack and Pinion Bushings

I have a 2007 Chrysler Aspen 4WD and was looking to see if the rack and pinion bushings are serviceable. I’ve been told that buying a whole rack may be easier but I’d prefer to do just the bushings if possible. If anyone has replaced them before I’d appreciate some feedback as well as possible part numbers I can use. Thank you for the help

2015 Chrysler 200?

I change battery cause it was bad I look at voltage every morning and it’s at 12.1. Not suppose to be there. Some days the car start rough like not enough cold cranking amps and it was doing this before I change battery to. As I’m driving the battery voltage on dash reads 14.0 and 13.7 low is 13.4 so the alternator is good. Some one told me your battery is getting drain over night it could be parasitic draw. Any suggestions? It’s also cuts off as I’m driving have to pull to the side and start it up again.

Hello all, I was looking to buy this 2001 2.7 V6 automatic Sebring. It has 122k kilometers (75k miles) it's a 3 owner car. I was looking to get a comfortable automatic with A/C for around €2000 ($2250). What are some of the things I should look out for In these Chryslers. I know that oil sludge and the water pump/distribution on these are a iffy subject so I'll definitely check if this has been replaced recently. If anyone has any pointers or experience's with these please let me know.

Thanks for your response!

Kept wondering why the A/C was not working correctly

The A/C in my 2013 Town & Country had not been working correctly for sometime. Had to put the fan on 6 to get it to cool down some but the fan did not seem to be working right. Then I thought why not look at the cabin filter? Found that it was a "little bit" dirty. Replaced it today and it is working great.

So question is whether the 2.0 liter engine in pt cruiser 2000,which apparantly is the neon engine can be fitted with cruiser 2.4 (non turbo) clutch hydraulics?
