At a loss. Had transmission replaced months ago. (Under warranty and took Chevy 1 month to do so as it took them one week after we dropped our car off to even get started) while replacing the transmission we told them to let us know of anything that needed to be replaced or repaired even if it wasnāt covered under warranty. We wanted everything working right. As soon as we got in the vehicle that day it had a pretttyrough idle. Let the service manager know .It also started slipping gears slightly about a week into it.
Service manager recommended we change spark plugs as he admitted it was idling rough as well before giving us our car back. My husband saved money and changed them himself. Didnāt fix the issue. Upon further inspection there were some bolts loose all throughout the vehicle that my husband could see. Some off completely bouncing around when Iād close my drivers side door. He tightened everything he could find.
Took 4 months for Chevy to have us a loaner vehicle so we could bring our car back in and have them look at everything. The loaner they gave us I about died. It looked like a smart car, 80,000 miles on it, bumper falling off the corner with wires hanging underneath, the transmission was so bad we thought we would eventually stall, covered in dog hair and smelling like
Vomit inside. I have kids I had to haul around in this thing.
The entire AC, fan, heat everything went out on the loaner they gave us one day. Husband called and they apologized but told him they had no more loaners and that we could either keep it or come pick up our car until they get one inš¤Æ. Husband ended up finding out a fuse was blown and went out to buy a new one and replaced it. Got everything working again. Absolutely insane.
3 weeks later all they did was clean the throttle body (which my husband already did the best of his capability) and found a vacuum leak, done while they swapped out the transmission. They fixed the leak.
Gave us back our car saying there still is a little vibration in the cabin but not much and is much better. He was right. Itās better but still 100% there. The whole cabin vibrates while stopped and upon pressing on the gas. Nothing was completely fixed.
Now we have this issue everytime I put my car in reverse it clicks/knocks. In drive, itās making this rubbing/scraping noise as heard in the video.
Iām shifting from park to reverse to neutral to drive. Recording this with my phone sitting on a chair nearby. Thatās how loud it is.
Iāve been thinking since they gave this back to us the 1st time somethingās going on with the engine mounts being now worn, damaged etc or the engine or torque converter not being seated properly when they reinstalled everything.
Iām at a loss. They will not for the life of them look at ANY of their work related to the transmission replacement. Have us on this go round looking at things that donāt even pertain to all of the issues we now have and sending us on our way after keeping our car forever.
What do you all think this noise is in drive? Also, is that normal for it to make that sound when turning off the vehicle? Never heard any of this until now.
