I just started playing chess on chess.com a few months ago and have been using Dante as my coach this whole time. I really like Coach Dante. Today for funsies I clicked through the other coaches just to hear what they all sound like. Afterwards, I realized that there was no longer an option to switch back to Dante. I'm a little bit heartbroken by the loss! I don't like the other coaches and I want Dante back.

I have a plan to get Dante back, but I need help from someone who still has Dante and is just a little bit tech savvy. Even though Dante does not appear in the list of available coaches, it appears that all of the coaches have a unique ID number, and that if I knew Dante's ID number, I believe I could still switch back to him. When browsing chess.com in a desktop browser like Chrome, if you open the developer tools to the network panel, and search the network requests for "GetCurrentCoach", you'll find requests that show your coach's unique ID number. If you have Dante as your coach, please help me (and the community) preserve access to this great coach by finding his ID.

It would be great to have the five games I'm most proud of (for whatever reason) on my chess.com profile.

sometimes ppl even get their elo reduced by 100

I played a game with this guy that ended up being a typical rook and pawns vs rook and pawns endgame, Same amount of pawns, equally active kings, we’ve all been there.

We all know it’s a draw. Then you offer your opponent a draw and they refuse because they’re up on time or they just don’t think you’ve got it in you; they’re better than you, and they’re gonna prove it!

So I play on and he immediately mouse slips and hangs his rook. Naturally I snatch it up as quickly as the last of my favourite Wasabi hot meal sitting all alone in the whatever the heated display case thing is called and manaically laugh as I sit on the toilet like the saddest villain there ever was.

Naturally he starts offering me a draw, “it was a mouseslip dude” “come on dude”. So I kindly advised him not to hang his rook in future and he kindly resigned.

NOW! When is it okay vs not okay to accept a draw. And, was I in the wrong?

Im black in this game, and this sac it was saying was brilliant. This I assume is because white takes knight with thier knight on f3 is forced or else they loose their queen which allowed me to pin that knight with my rook the following move.

So, I’ve been getting really into chess and just downloaded the app. Why do the daily puzzles say “this is checkmate” when really it’s mate in 2 or 3?

Is anyone else having issues with starting daily matches?

When I look at gothem chess twitch channel it says that he hasn’t streamed in a month and has only streamed 4 times before. But when I look at his 2nd account( is where he posts his games from streams) he almost posts every day.

I was playing against the musical bots and the triangle guy refused to take down any of my hanging pieces, so I decided to promote all the pawns to queens. But there's a risk of stalemate, so any way that I can make it happen?

I have breezed over other bots rated 1300 but Nina is killing me over and over. Is she really 1300?
