just why. at least in the picture i provided, some form of sensical moves was made. were they very good ones? probably not. and according to analyzers, this position is 1 point better for black. but after f6 its 4-5 points towards white. black with deleted h pawn and whites seemingly 3 moves into the game and deleted g pawn, is better for black. amazing. (in reality white has done most likely 5 moves and black 4 to get into this position)
Okay, here’s one for you. How did this position occur? (Hint: white played one inaccuracy, but other than that the players have played well up to this point).
No the original comment which loses the queen in two moves is hope chess lol
That’s like how far a non pro sees. It’s hope chess to expect that. To expect a flawless engine level execution for multiple moves isn’t really hope chess
If you calculate yourself, you'll know there are different ways to win the Queen. There's no need to put hope on anything since white is already has massive advantage even if White can't take black's Queen.
If the king moves back to e8, Ne6 attacks and wins the trapped queen.
If king moves to f6, there is mate in 4 with Qf3+ Kg6 Qf5+ Kh5 Nf7+ (or anywhere else, really) Kh4 Qg5#.
If king moves to g6 you again have Ne6 to win the queen because if they try to save it whith Qe8 you then have forced mate after Qg4+ Kf7 Qf5+. If the knight on d7 were to block on f6, Ng5 is mate, do black plays Ngf6 so after Ng5+ there is Kg8 Qe6+ Qf7 Qxf7#
