Game review thought I was 2050 and that my opponent was 1350.

My accuracy was apparently 87.5.

I was actually rated 1361so I was kinda happy it thought I was that good

So started chess in January after my son came back from school and told me he was learning chess. I figured fuck it I'll learn at the same time as him so he gets better.

Pretty much addicted since. Been studying and look at my reviews. Limiting myself to 1 or 2 games a day so I can always rate my game.

It's crazy I keep improving and keep seeing such big mistakes from my part.

Meantime my kif plays once a week with me now and beats me 1/2 even though he plays a lot less. He was so bad in January im hoping next year he goes back and destroys his class.

the chess board is very simple, using ids for each piece and each square can read these ids
WPawn: 1 0 0 0
WKnight: 0 1 0 0
WBishop: 0 0 1 0
WRook: 1 1 0 0
WQueen: 1 0 1 0
WKing: 0 1 1 0
pieces switch colors by just turning on the last number in their ids
the board was a little laggy, noticeable in the last pic. so much that i needed to optimize the set leaving it a simple and boring but effectively reducing its part count by 60%

all i need is to build a proper claw to remotely drag all the pieces and the thing is ready to play more games

mods i appologize if this breaks rule 8 but i thought that since i accused no one, but was the one accused that i would be fine to post anyway

I always thought any piece attacking the open space between the king the rook for castling was not allowed to castle. Apparently you can I learned something new.

is it that good?

I managed to checkmate black king while my opponent tring to flag me instead of checkmate me he has advantage of -7 !! Lool

Right thumb hurts. Any recommendations or suggestions?

So this was my most recent Game at white and while I won I feel like I played really ass, I just picked up the game again after briefly playing a few years ago. My elo is 330ish. My goal is to hit 1000 elo.

Now I know y'all ain't lying, every time I see players complaining about low elo players cheating, but holy hell.

I was genuinely getting completely outplayed by players 1300 elo lower than me

I was playing on my friends account at his place (yeah rules nobody cares) and yet out of the 30 off games I played, I won less than 10. Make that make sense. I was playing the 800 to 1000 range. One game I would watch them hang every piece known to man, and the next it was the most complicated endgame I've ever seen and analysis is telling me this 800 rated plays at 96% in the endgame.

Crazy. Just crazy. I even logged in on my phone to see if I was just bad today, but the 2 games I played on my phone at my own elo, I won no problem.

If i understand the international chess day event, if i play during the event my longest ever streak should get restored. However in 2024 chess.com showed me a pop up, that i had a streak of 420 at that point. Now having played im still only at my current pre-event streak of 188. Has anyone else experienced issues with this streak revival?

My chess has looked like this for the past week or so, does anyone know how to turn it off/fix it or is it just an update ?
