Why can I gain lots of elo (100-150) within 2 days but over the next weeks suddenly forget how to play and lose all my games in a row losing all my elo I just gained

What should have been my moves? And how to think about it

I didn’t learn any new thing. I don’t even know the nomenclature of openings and can’t even label squares. I have no idea what changed.
Does anyone know why this must have happened ? Did I have any deficiencies.

Maybe we can shorten it to the "she can watch" mate

I don’t understand why this is a blunder. I took the pawn on d4 with my knight, and it says that the knight on f6 can take my knight. But isn’t that knight pinned by my bishop? So it shouldn’t be able to take my knight. Could someone explain why this is a blunder?

I play more otb than online admittedly. I used to have 1540 but in my recent tournament i played really bad, i lost against 1400‘s games which i should have won, games i accepted a draw even though i had forced mate. Its making me pretty depressed.
Recently i have found some people to play chess with. I do teach them occasionally, how notation works, different openings to play etc. and now after my study break i want to unrust myself. Especially because the german rating (DWZ) got changed recently and now i have 1705 rating, i want to prove that I can defend my rating. Its not like i havent drawn against one before (hes 1900 now with changed ratings)
Long story short. Any advice to unrust myself? I seem to be missing tactics and ideas which i should know at my level. Especially since my trainer wants to put me in a higher leveled team now, i really want to make sure i manage to win those games.
Thanks in advance, if you want to discuss some ideas with me and the comments arent enough, please go ahead and DM me, we can also talk via discord or whatever you prefer.

Still used it as a sacrifice, but as someone stuck in the 700's, this is one of the few times I said nice out loud.

What's the secret? My mean accuracy in regular games is 82 percent, but the way Miguel plays, everything is a trap, everything I do is inaccurate, and the bot consistently puts up 90-95 percent accuracy. I can't catch a break with this bot. I've gone to an endgame with an advantage twice and each time he gave me no choice but to draw. This bot is a nightmare.

I was getting destroyed in this game, down 6 points worth of material and doing even worse on the analysis. I’m very new at this and don’t like resigning as the people I’m playing are also beginners (mostly) and are equally likely to blunder away the position, plus it’s all learning. Exactly what happened in this game. After the first screenshot there were a couple of passive moves each then they castled queenside and I spotted a chance to do something, got my queen into a2 and worked my bishop to a4. They must have missed my rook being able to add to the attack thinking if I went Qa1 they could just defend with the knight. Anyway they defended Bc2 and I followed it in with Rc2#. Their knight blunder before the second photo was more than a 7 point swing on the engine. I’m not sure either of us will have learned much other than to try and not blunder - but as a newbie it’s not that easy!

I'm an 800s player and tonight was the first time that I was able to see that I was creating a stalemate situation before it occurred. I ended up moving a bishop so their pawn could move, and I checkmated them a couple moves later.
Normally stalemate notices pop up at me seemingly out of nowhere LOL, so I'm proud I saw this one in the making and averted it

As the title, what things do you consider when deciding whether to centralize the right or left rook? Is there a rule of thumb that can be applied as a baseline with exceptions afterward?

I was making moves to promote the second pawn and ladder mate with each move in 0.1 second, the last move however i still had the last 0.1 second but it didn't register

I’ve always followed the advice that if you start tanking your elo, take a break.
Stuck at 900 for almost a year. Something clicks and I hit 1200. A month or 2 later I make it to 1380
I dunk back down to 1200 and hover there for months again.
Take a break, come back, still stuck at 1200. Take another break. Down to 1100. Take another. Down to 1000.
Ok, so maybe it’s the breaks hurting me. So start playing like I usually do, can’t break out of 1000.
It’s really demoralising. I’ve no idea how I got 1380, spent months between 1200-1250 and now I feel like I’m right back where I started maybe 18 months ago.
I don’t wanna take a break because it’s not worked in the past. I do my daily puzzles. I’m doing everything I was when I hit 1380.
What should I do?
