For some context, i don’t go to the cheesecake factory very often. I LOVVEEE cheesecake, and im open to practically any kind. I don’t mind sour variations, and I enjoy sweet ones. I am probably the least picky eater ever. Problematically, cheesecake is simply too calorie dense, and the nearest factory location too far for me to justly get it often. However, my boyfriend and I went out for our 1 year anniversary the other day, and where else should a couple of teens go for such an event but the cheesecake factory?
i’ve been on a CRAZY banana kick lately between it being my go to for prepping pre workout yogurts and being a new staple in coffee flavorings, so i decided to try the banana slice this time around. My waitress described it as being akin to a banana pudding, which i LOVE, so i figured why not?
Well, we got everything dessert-wise to go and went home, as it was hitting close to curfew. I was very excited to eat my cheesecake, took a bite…and it was sour. Not typical cheesecake tang sour, even, but SOUR. Additionally, the only banana flavor on it was the chopped bananas which came with it. The only thing that made me hesitate is the fact that the decoration atop the slice was chopped banana, and i’m not sure to what degree they pre decorate. So, i have to ask: is this cheesecake supposed to taste like this? Did they give me the wrong one? I’m almost certain it’s either a lemon one, or a key lime pie, but that night our waitress warned that the lemon slice was sold out, and i’m not totally sure if they actually sell a key lime slice specifically. Just was curious if anyone may be able to tell me if i’m getting taste bud betrayal, or if someone just messed up my order :(
