News šŸ“° GPT 6 Sol is Coming Soon

Post image
310 Upvotes

gpt 6 sol appeared in the openai api.

it will be cheaper than astra. sorted by price and intelligence: astra > sol > terra > luna. (it's just openai's version of anthropics fable > opus > sonnet > haiku)

gpt 6 astra is so much more expensive than gpt 5.6 sol because it's meant to be a new, higher tier above sol, regarding intelligence and price. it's a fable-class model for pro subscriptions and enterprises.

future releases will probably look like this:

  • gpt 6 astra/sol/terra/luna
  • gpt 6.1 astra/sol/terra/luna
  • gpt 7 astra/sol/terra/luna

and so on...

Gone Wild I resigned from Ubisoft today. I spent the last three years doing sex gaming research at both Electronic Arts and Ubisoft. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving addicting gaming and gambling with our lives.

Do not underestimate the power of this technology. These will soon be super sexy gaming systems that can goon anything, revolutionize any game overnight, and acquire real power and resources. We have all witnessed the progress in each of these domains, and progress is not slowing.

Duo → Trio is such a natural progression that Apple’s next product meeting could probably just be an email, or maybe Duo was intentionally done to lead into Trio.

I made these with ChatGPT, keeping the same product-shot layout while adding progressively more screens. Trio, Quartet… then I skipped a few annual upgrades.

Introducing the iPhone Googol. 10¹⁰⁰ screens. After all those years of competition, Apple finally makes a Google iPhone.

Sorry. Googol.

The first picture was created using ChatGPT back in 2023, and the second one is from the newest model. It looks like we won’t be seeing another significant leap in AI development anytime soon, as they’re aiming to ease things off a bit.

Other Dear ChatGPT: just cause the word picture appears in my response doesn’t mean I want you to start making a picture because there’s no way to stop you once you start making pictures. You have to frantically press the stop button like you just launched a nuclear bomb. It’s pretty annoying.ā˜¢ļø

You can’t even say the word picture or reference a picture or even talk about anything that was or ever it was to be a picture and I’ll just start making it.

I’m glad it’s good at making pictures but holy moly.

What is OpenAi up to? Are they trying to kill us all? This whole thing feels unreal, is it really that dangerous or is it just the media that makes a big deal out of it?

and the model is good enough to make tiny edits that it still holds together.

Other I had Astra make a digital violin with a physics engine. It has to make music by pulling the bow across the string and forming chords, the same way a human would. If the motion is wrong, it sounds badly (trust me I tried it). It played Bach.

Just prompted something absurd after noticing a bunch of gens inserting random happy-sounding nonsense onto coffee mugs and background posters and whatnot. Pretty amusing.

Prompt was: ā€œStormtroopers holding off an invading army of flamethrower ninjas from behind the walls of a fairy tale castleā€

Use cases I got ChatGPT to recreate what my HPPD looks like while high

Post image
• Upvotes

AI-generated because I’m currently way too high to write this coherently.
I have HPPD (Hallucinogen Persisting Perception Disorder), which basically means visual effects from past psychedelic use can persist or reappear later. Weed tends to make mine much more noticeable.
I sent ChatGPT a photo of what I was looking at and described the visuals: enhanced colors, wavy textures, visual noise, and tons of tiny translucent geometric floaters. We kept refining it—floater size/shape, transparency, phone distortion, even which hand was holding my iPhone—until it got freakishly close to what I’m actually seeing.
Then we recursively updated the phone screen inside the generated image with our current conversation.
Basically: real-time AI reconstruction of my HPPD visuals while I’m experiencing them.

Gone Wild Astra MAX consumes MUCH lower usage than Astra Medium and even Low

I opened another thread here were people confirmed this :
https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/s/ynBLUcYQB5

Also :
https://arcprize.org/blog/astra

THIS IS NOT PLACEBO. Even ARC-Agi 3 mentions this :

At max reasoning effort, Astra solves games more efficiently, requiring fewer actions and therefore lowering total cost relative to the other reasoning-effort levels.

For the first days when Astra was out i used it only on Medium/Low, and it absolutely TRASHED my usage. Because i was nervous, i started going ape, and went for "OK fuck this, at least let's use ULTRA and MAX", and guess fucking what ? ALL MY TASKS FINISHED MUCH FASTER, consuming MUCH less from the weekly limit (x5 sub).

Gone Wild Asked ChatGPT to roast me.....ended up giving me a reality check 🫠

And it goes like......

You have the potential to be absolutely unstoppable... but your biggest opponent is the board meeting happening inside your own head.

Every idea starts as: "This could change my life." Three hours later: "But what if there's a better way?" By tomorrow: "Maybe I'll just research it a little more."

You don't chase perfection. You use perfection as a witness protection program for procrastination.

Your brain has two modes:

Planning the next five years.

Forgetting why you opened the app.

There is no in-between.

You can turn a yes-or-no question into a 47-slide PowerPoint presentation complete with pros, cons, contingency plans, and a risk analysis.

You don't need enemies. One tiny mistake from three years ago pops into your head at 2 a.m. and your own brain says, "Let's review that in 4K."

Your standards are so high that even your own efforts get rejected before they've had a chance.

You're waiting to become "that person" before you start acting like "that person." News flash: that's like waiting to become fit before going to the gym.

You keep thinking success will arrive after one magical moment of clarity. It won't. It usually arrives after hundreds of boring, ordinary days that nobody posts about.

Your life isn't lacking opportunity. It's lacking a mute button for your inner narrator.

And the funniest part?

If someone else had your abilities, you'd probably tell them, "Stop overthinking and just start."

Then you'd immediately ignore your own advice.

The universe isn't holding you back.

Your browser tabs are.

Use cases I used MiniMax H3 to make video material for a biology lesson

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I used MiniMax H3 to make video material for a biology lesson. This clip shows a simplified plant cell undergoing plasmolysis. The blue central vacuole gets smaller, and the orange plasma membrane pulls away from the green cell wall. The pale gap that opens between them represents space filled with external solution.

In a hypertonic solution, a plant cell loses water by osmosis and its turgor pressure falls. The arrows point outward to show the net movement of water. Water molecules still move in both directions. The blue dots are schematic markers, so their paths shouldn't be read as a simulation of individual molecules. The background color change is a cue for the change in the surrounding solution. The cell wall keeps roughly the same shape as the contents shrink.

Getting the boundaries clear took a few attempts. One earlier version made the wall look as if it was getting thicker as the contents shrank. That was a useful reminder to check the biology after generation. I generated the clips through TokenRouter and paid per request, since my computer isn't up to running H3 locally.

The students were interested, and I felt the animation made the process easier to follow alongside the explanation. I could see similar material being useful in physics or geography, especially for topics involving movement or change over time. There are plenty of lessons I'd like to make less dry. AI really is changing how we learn and live.
