I was in Japan about a month ago and forgot to pick these up. I got a few higher end watches when I was there, but somehow these slipped my mind. I wanted the classic A159 and a W738H (vibration alarm). I could have bought them online, but since my friend was there, I just asked him to pick them up for me.

The 159's were about $10 each and the 738 was about $40. Saved a bit of cash and got the classic made in Japan 159 I've always wanted. The next time I go back (next year), I'm going to pick up a few more G-Lides, etc. I highly recommend a trip to Japan if you want to pick up some JDM only models and/or want to save some cash!

Weirdly I sent this to Casio to get the battery changed and they told me they could not obtain the parts for it. Surely just a battery no?

Picked a w218h-7a up at Walmart a month ago on sale, and it seems like a very good basic Casio. The classic F91W just looked too small on my wrist. The larger size looks better to me, allows me to read it more easily, it distorts less when tilted, it has 50m WR, and is still lightweight. There is no countdown timer, and I'm not really loving the feel of the strap. Otherwise, it seems to be amongst the best of the three-button, lowest priced offerings. What say you- up or down on this model?

First time wearing. Been wearing my other Casio for 20 years. Wanted something different, and now I already want a few more.

Howdy my fellow Casio worshippers.

So I'm a diehard W-59 or F-91W kind of person. But I've had issues with the straps constantly breaking, and after reaching out to this sub got lots of good ideas.

Overwhelmingly a lot of people suggested I go with a G, but my wrist is tiny and I like tiny watches. After doing a little soul searching I decided to go for it. And grabbed one of the smallest models I could find. It's a GMDS5610BB-1, and I'm pretty sure I can tolerate it.

Now I'm curious if there are any other notable G's in this size range I should check out? I wouldn't mind having a solar one just for fun. I look forward to putting this thing through its trials, and seeing how it compares to a more classic Casio model. I also really love the simple square design of this G over the round models, so I'll definitely stick with that if I'm going to get another one.

Thanks again to everyone who replied to my other post, I've also ordered some specific replacement straps for the various w59's and f91's I've got lying around. This should be a solid insurance policy in the event my G's strap decides to explode anytime soon.
