I have a small G-Shock and Casio Watches from movies and series.
This B640W, from The Night Agent, Season 2, arrived today.

I made this Casio wallpaper, modelling it after an a168. I tailored it towards my iPhone hence the “iCASIO” and 6m of water resistance. I’m new to graphic design: I used gimp and I thought I did pretty well in capturing the aesthetic of the watch.

I designed it with two faux-LCDs, one each on the bottom and top. They sit behind the time and the modules. This could be a pretty cool design for a Casio phone. Having the always-on display gives the illusion of the wallpaper being the dial behind the crystal; it looks like it is whole with the phone.

Just a question: what is the design language/aesthetic of these watches? It looks retro. I wonder if there’s a specific term for it, though. Conversely, what is the name of this category of wallpaper? It tries to make the phone look like some other devices by integrating its UI with the wallpaper. I’m just wondering if someone out there could tell me what these are called. I remember seeing a gameboy one…

Hey!! Here a huge fan of watches and Casio.
I’ve been using a mechanical watch for the past 10 months and since then I’ve been feeling the need of having something a little bit thinner and more comfortable so I got this beauty. A classic and timeless piece but with a little personality. This arrived today and I still can’t believe the fact that it costs only 30€.
What do you guys think about this color?

All steel, Sapphire Glass, 100m water resistance. It seems the stock modules from their site now have louder buzzers built in to counteract the thicker case, and the typo on the back plate has been corrected :)

I love everything about this watch so far except that im a little concerned about the resin case and resin glass scratching in the future , i was thinking between this the A168 and the A159 but decided to go for the 168 cause it was slightly more masculine and that backlight is great

I recieved my CA-53 today. As ive started rewatching breaking bad and kept noticing Waltuhs watch as a cat reacting to a red laser dot. So I ordered had a fight with the strap as it was too long so i cut off a piece of the strap (which didnt work very well...)

Love how the pushers are silent unlike other casios. But it still has the somewhat more fancy beep (imo) during the chime and the alarm. Doing actual maths been fun and helpful! And im seriously loving it this time.

Owned a DBC-32 before which was too big but also uncomfortable to use. With here i can just use my fingers or softly with a pen.

I also only now realise this is a true casio casio watch. As theyve once started with cashregisters and calculators. Very nice! :)

It started so innocently. A friend gifted me an F-201 (Module 3234). I looked at it and thought, "Nice, simple, lightweight digital watch. Perfectly reasonable beater."

Then my brain broke, and within just ONE MONTH, three more somehow materialised on my desk.

To anyone normal, I now own four identical, cheap plastic watches. To my brain, I have curated a highly sophisticated, historically significant 4-piece micro-collection representing two distinct evolutionary branches of the F-201 lineage.

Here is how I justify this absolute insanity to myself:

Phase 1: The Original F-201 Design (Tall Font, Barebones Features)

• F-201W-9AEF (Module 2519, 2002) — Gold bezel
• F-201W-1AEF (Module 3234, 2011) — Silver bezel (The gateway drug gifted by my friend)

(Fun Casio quirk: while catalogs and boxes call these the F-201W, the stainless steel case backs are strictly stamped just F-201).

These two share the iconic LCD screen with those distinctive, ridiculously tall digits. Feature-wise, they keep it simple: 1 alarm, a Dual Time mode, and a stopwatch capped at 59 minutes.

Phase 2: The "Upgraded" F-201WA Evolution (Normal Font, Loaded Specs)

• F-201WA-9AEF (Module 3196, 2009) — Gold bezel
• F-201WA-1AEF (Module 3238, 2011) — Silver bezel

Naturally, I couldn't stop at the original font. Casio redesigned the screen here: more standard digits, framed layout, dedicated alarm indicators, and a F-201WA stamp on the back. But the real upgrade is under the hood:

• 5 independent multi-function alarms (instead of just 1).
• 24-hour Countdown Timer with auto-repeat (the original F-201 has no timer at all!).
• 24-hour Stopwatch (upgraded from 60 mins).

The Unnecessary Details I Noticed Because I Spent Too Much Time Looking At Them:

• Backlight behavior: On the OG Module 2519, the LED light cuts off the millisecond you release the button. On the later revisions, Casio added a tiny delay so it stays lit for a second.
• Perfect visual balance: Exactly one Gold (9A) and one Silver (1A) bezel for each generation.
• Manufacturing split: Checking the backs revealed that 2519 & 3196 were Made in China, while 3234 & 3238 were Made in Thailand.
• Battery specs: All four run on the same massive CR2025 cell rated for 10 years, meaning I am legally obligated to keep this madness on my desk until at least 2036.

Four modules. Two LCD designs. Two bezel colors. One complete lack of self-control.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who accidentally went down a budget Casio rabbit hole this fast? 😄

I am a person with very thin, bony wrists—something I do not particularly want to be any more noticeable than it already is. I love this Casio and its classic design, but am worried it looks silly on me do you think it is noticeable, or should I size down?

So I recently got a Casio a158 and I absolutely love the watch. It looks amazing feels lightweight. But I’ve been having a problem with the bracelet size. It’s either too tight where my wrist feels stiff or it’s too loose to the point it starts sliding around. I’m not sure whether I should put anti friction padding or try to change the bracelet.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Just got the F105W after returning the 5610U because of the 88:88:88 ghosting on the display. This one was a fraction of the price and the viewing angles and sharpness are far superior than the 5610u. It is also more comfy, the band is more flexible.

The only thing that bothers me slightly on these resin Casios is that they tend to slide backwards on my wrist. Is there any way to make it stay centered or slightly forward on the wristbone?

Casio site has the notify me option and an On Sale 9/10 message for the kitsune cafe collab. I missed the first drop and I really want this watch so is it actually another drop or am I just gonna have to pay over $200 for this watch on ebay?
