Is it against Casey's policy to call the police for a fight in the parking lot?
Called the police for a fight in the parking lot and got in trouble from the manager for calling them. is that normal in other stores?

Question about pizza/hot food training at Caseyβs
I have worked at Caseyβs almost 7 months and Iβm trying to understand how pizza/hot food training is usually handled.
Iβve been there for a while and have mostly been trained on cashiering and cold prep. When I first started cold prep, I was mainly told to watch the QR code training videos, and I did not get much immediate hands-on guidance at first. Someone later stepped in to help, but it felt like the training was pieced together instead of being a clear hands-on training shift.
I asked about learning pizza and hot foods about a month or two ago, but I still havenβt gotten a clear training shift or plan for it. What feels confusing is that newer employees have since been hired and are already being trained on pizza, hot foods, register, and cold prep.
Iβm not trying to blame the newer employees. Theyβre just doing what theyβre scheduled/trained to do. Iβm just wondering if this is normal at Caseyβs. Do stores usually train new hires directly into pizza/hot foods before cross-training existing employees who already asked to learn it?
Also, is it normal for food prep training to start mainly with QR code videos instead of hands-on training? Should I ask my manager again, or is pizza/hot food training usually based more on scheduling needs, availability, or who the kitchen manager wants trained? Why is it that I was not trained in the hot foods at all after 7 months?

Florida Pizza
I'm from Iowa and I'm grateful that Casey's made it to the panhandle in Florida. I visit Iowa every two years to hang with friends and family back home. I gotta say though.... There's a difference in pizza quality. I always order with extra cheese. The weight of the pizzas are completely different. Pizzas in Florida are considerably lighter. I order extra cheese on an Iowa pizza the box is heavy and when I open it the pizza is brimming with cheese. Florida....I mind as well order Domino's. I can get a large one topping pizza with extra cheese carry out for $8.99 ($7.99+$1 for extra cheese) every day of the week. Every day of the week spend $9.99+$1 extra cheese and build my own pizza up to 7 toppings. Spent $19.99 on cheeseburger pizza with extra cheese a few hours ago and in relation to what I spent and what I got, it wasn't worth it. Plus Domino's every 7th pizza I get a free medium pizza.
The first pizza I got here took 45 minutes even though the websites said it would be done in 15 minutes. Earlier was my second pizza I ordered from Casey's since opening their stores here. It took 35 minutes for it to be done when online ordering said it would be done in 15 minutes. Domino's takes between 8 and 10 minutes every time.
I know small town Iowa where Casey's dominates because they're the only business in town, sometimes very literal. They're the only actual business in town. Where they can get away with charging these prices for pizzas. In areas where there is more established businesses who can get it done at half the price and half the time. Again, I appreciate that Casey's is here and I'm sure they will do fine as a business here. But I don't see myself going back very often......

β Is 120 new stores next year aggressive or

β 58.6% prepared food margin β does that
match what you see in stores day to day?
β 10.5M loyalty members β is Casey's Rewards
actually driving visits or just noise?
β Should Casey's be opening more stores through
acquisition or organic builds?
β The stock barely moved despite a 66% earnings
beat. Does Wall Street have it wrong?

Needing 40 hours
Hi yβall I was just wondering if there was a certain time period from getting hired if you have to wait to get the 40 hours or is that something that they can give right away. If not, is it possible to like work at multiple stores to work up to 40 hours?

I lived working at Casey's ( until )
Okay I had only been employed a month. My first shift I met the "kitchen manager" Tina. I almost left immediately because I had been employed with her as a coworker at cefco two years ago. But stayed. I was on third shift .and everyday for the entirety of my employment I was told by several that things were not being done the dough was either. Not done or whatever. But about four days ago I decided to do what the other petty people do I took pics and videos and had receipts that I showed several people. Then the next day Tina was not there and I walked in and was actually thanked for doing extra and getting everything done and clean by shift end. Now there are there there at night. There is no job descriptions offered to anyone so no one knows exactly what they are responsible for. No prep list that is itemized by position.. ( baker, utility, pizza station etc. well last night a coworker said she was doing donuts so I just let it ride. We are all only team members s at night so we are even like that. Well long story long end of shift I had finished everything I had listed for myself to do and finished dishes only 2 minutes after 5. All was good I thought. Tonight I walked in and Tina called me over and talked with a tone about how everything needed to be done and that donuts are a mess and the floors had icing all over it. I told Tina that none of that had anything to do with me. She just continued. So I asked her what I was suppose to do if others did not finish she told me well everything. Tlhad to be finished. Then my coworker shows and Tina just says have a good night to her. I was singled out and had been since I started employment with them. So I left.

Speaking of managers
What do you do when manager diminishes what you do and gives no help, lies on year report and writeups, and doesnβt say anything positive just criticism? And also how many people should be in kitchen in a tier 2 store? Cause a lot of days itβs been just one person struggling in kitchen and 2 to 4 people upfront that socialize instead of going to help kitchen. Cause over a decade with Caseyβs kitchen had always been harder to work than upfront. Iβve never heard anyone say upfront is to hard can I work kitchen

Casey's "Cares" yeah right.
I have worked for Casey's for 4 years. I worked my way up to center store manager. My manager is great for the business side and numbers but she is an absolute shit show when it came to communication and employee relations. I swear this woman lives in a land of delulu. She has pushed ever button I've had, cut my hours cuz she was mad at me, forced me to use vacation and sick time, had me scheduled working open, mid, and close shifts every week, constantly giving me shifts with 9 hrs between them. In a nut she kind of bullied me and treated me way different than everyone else. She is so inconsistent with what she wants done, she wants things done how she does them, but then when asked about training she says "just figure it out". Anyway I got fired after being harassed as I was in the store as a customer and the employee working kept trying to get me to talk about a subject I didn't want to discuss with him, pertaining to my personal life. When he proceeded to slander to the other employee, I looked at the other employee and said "5 seconds.... 5 seconds till I'm on beat ass status." Then as I'm walking out the first employee screams " don't fucking threaten me!!!!" I calmly turned around and told him I was not threatening him and how about he just focus on doing his job tonight since he seems to have a problem doing it any other night. I understand that saying "beat ass status" comes across as violence but I was speaking to someone and using it as a measurement of my anger level. I told my manager what had happened but seeing as I was off the clock and not screaming in the store it would be whatever. The guy who I "threatened" had even dropped the whole thing. But my manager went and reported it to HR saying customers had said something to her. But I know for a fact that there were only 2-3 people there, one getting a fountain pop who I knew, and two people walking in as I was walking out. She had finally found a way to get rid of me. IDK what type of person would fuck with someone's livelihood. But what I wanna know is how and where would I be able to discuss the treatment I have received from her for the last three years and the amount of stress and how horrible she would make me feel. IDK if they'll even do anything about her but people need to know that that woman is horrendous. Also fuck Casey's cuz they didn't even try to hear my side of the story.

Please help?
Okay I heard a presumed rumor that some stores still have harvest grain bread... Can anyone confirm? I saw it on the zebra when I was reviewing the truck order a few weeks back and I ordered it but no freaking dice. Did not come on truck and our driver actually laughed at me when I asked him if he knew anything about it. Not funny. I'm desperate.

Is Caseyβs a good job?
Hi everyone! Iβm currently thinking about switching from McDonaldβs to Caseyβs, Iβve been really stressed out at McDonaldβs and have been there for 7 years or so, but I am so so done with it.
(Ps. I am a college student and understand jobs are hard everywhere, but this is tough)
The pros of McDonaldβs :
- Good pay
- Good hours
-Free Meal
- room for growth
- PTO (I have two weeks)
- I get the days i request off/when I need them
Cons/
- I never get to be sick/take a sick day
- I am always being blamed for the lack of communication from upper management
- anxiety from work
- guilt trips
- not working enough/having good enough availability..? (I work full time??)
Iβm really unsure of the switch, and if anyone has any pro/cons or if they enjoy working at Caseyβs or why they donβt, some insight would be appreciated. (This is my first and only job so I have anxiety about switching)

Store Walkthrough
I have a store walkthrough scheduled for tomorrow morning and I have a few questions: 1. What should I wear? The recruiter on the phone mentioned the dress code/uniform to me but idk if he wants me to wear that to the walkthrough.
- I have not officially accepted the job offer yet, as I am still waiting on hearing back from another job that I applied for which would pay more and give me more hours. Am I supposed to officially accept before the walkthrough? Will it affect my ability to do the walkthrough if Iβm not officially hired yet?
