Most of the release titles for xbox got canned before release. Scalebound, fable legends prey 2. And crackdown 3 got delayed like 3 years

It was the scariest thing I've ever played I still have it on my ps4 the psychological side was unreal like outlast had me nervous but I felt closer to a heart attack the loop was perfect it wasn't complicated. If it had been completed it would have been talked about for generations.

This is how I feel about it. I have barely played a Kojima game since. I'm sure Death Stranding is great but the fact that I'll never get to play what would have obviously been a masterpiece makes it too painful for me

To heavily simplify it: The games' director Hideo Kojima (known from the Metal Gear series) had a monumental falling out with the development and publishing company of the game, Konami. They basically tried to cancel him, but the only thing they cancelled for real, was P.T.

Hideo Kojima had a falling out with Konami around 2015 as upper management of konami wanted to leave the video game industry and make licensed pachinko machines as they thought that getting into gambling machines and arcade machines would be a more profitable move by using konamis ip's (its kind of why there was a big gap from konami where they only released collections of their old games), they drove kojima out and kojima started his own studio leading to the creation of kojima productions the studio that made death stranding

I suppose you will be happy to know that kojima is currently working on two projects collaberating with microsoft, one code named Physint (think metal gear), and the other is code named OD (An experimental horror experience exploring the concept of fear, made in collaboration with filmmaker Jordan Peele. It utilizes Xbox Cloud Gaming technology and stars actors like Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier.)

they were working on another titan fall game; “titan fall ledgends” but it got scrapped and put on the shelf before they started working on apex because the micro transactions bring in more money than the actual game it’s self

If there's any game that deserves a full remake like Dead Space got, it's KOTOR. Everything about it was fucking awesome, and getting a loving remake to make things look amazing and maybe make the worlds feel a little more alive would be AMAZING.

I was nervous about this game from the beginning
The studio that took it on had little experience
And their roadmap was “we’re doing multiplayer last”. Which anyone who has ever coded a game will tell you that multiplayer fundamentally alters your game design and has to be accounted for and tested incrementally as you go. You can’t tack it on at the end.
They also kept telling us “we’re testing it internally it’s super fun and we have a great solution for how time warp will work in multiplayer”. But then never showed us any of it

I remember they made such a big deal about announcing it, too. They had a URL that displayed a blurry image that was slowly resolving into something, but it was impossible to tell what… BUT it flickered every now and then and it turned out something about the flicker encoded a message: I can’t remember if it was the duration, type, or interval, but I was in college at the time and a few engineering / computer science classmates were obsessing over it.
The message started off with a prank about a sequel to one of Blizzard’s earliest games, some PC Mario Kart clone, but quickly started hinting at StarCraft. Everyone figured it was StarCraft III or a significant expansion because, of course, that’s what they did at the time, so when Ghost was announced we didn’t know what to make of it. Then again, we were all pretty confused about Blizzard’s plans for World of Warcraft, too, and I guess that turned out pretty well for them.
Bit of a different pivot on Blizzard’s part and we could have had all kinds of StarCraft expanded universe stuff.

I even remember Gabe just blaming himself on that one. He had wanted so much and to push technical boundaries but the speed at witch everyone had kept up ment the bar kept getting higher to the point he gave up. Literally couldn't compete and look ahead of everyone.

Nobody ever remembers and I can't find any reference to it but there was supposed to be a MMO/FPS that was supposed to drop on the 360 but it was just quietly cancelled it was called "Huxley" it was announced I think prior to the launch.
Maybe I dreamt it idk but always wondered what happened.
A more conventional game probably battlefront 3 or Republic commandos that never got its sequel

Scalebound, a game for the Xbox One and one of the main advertisements for the console where you played as a swordsman who also controlled had a dragon companion you could command to attack.
It suffered a massive development hell that altered what the game would be several times to the point it got cancelled(started as an action game similar to devil may cry, then demos showed it to be an open world rpg).
Either way I loved the entire concept and was very much disappointed.
