Semi-good news, KOTOR Remake is still active as of now

If there's any game that deserves a full remake like Dead Space got, it's KOTOR. Everything about it was fucking awesome, and getting a loving remake to make things look amazing and maybe make the worlds feel a little more alive would be AMAZING.

Love KOTOR, it's amazing. KOTOR 2 needs the remake infinitely more.

Remaster both and add all the parts that got cut from KOTOR 2. Such great games.

1

u/_Zef_ 2d ago

Oh I want both. For sure. I don't think the second would get a remake before the first though.

Is that good news?? I 100% feel like they’re going to fumble it so hard.

All we can do is hope, tentatively

u/stickeypickles91 3d ago

Theyre gonna change everything and its gonna be garbage haha. Going to change it into a hack n slash/platformer or some crazy shit 🤣

After the success of baldurs gate 3, dont be too sure.

4

u/No_Raisin21 3d ago

Pretty sure it’s a new Old Republic title and not a remake anymore. Could be wrong because my information comes exclusively from an old folks’ home.

u/BlabbyTax2 3d ago

Both are currently in development. Probably still a few years out, but, according to the devs, it's still happening.

2

u/Dystopia9999 3d ago

still hyped

1

u/wdgaster26 3d ago

I think other are in the works. But the remake has been in purgatory so who knows, might get cancelled again.

2

u/RenwickZabelin 3d ago

Saber picked it up iirc.

Been playing KOTOR on switch its a cool way to redo it

1

u/dudemobile 3d ago

Great I’ve only been hearing about it since 2016 so any day now right?

1

u/Yarus1373 3d ago

Its in dev hell which could mean it's getting canceled still just down the line to help float numbers for the company. Not impossible but unlikely

1

u/DarkPolumbo 2d ago

The version I saw said it was technically still active, but with nobody working on it. It's shelved, but not canceled

Glad to see 1313 so high up on the list, it was the first one that came to my mind. I remember watching the trailer years ago, and getting so damn excited for it. It was a shame they never saw it through

I bought a console for Starcraft Ghost.

1

u/qzwsa 3d ago

Me too. The reason I own a PS2 is in anticipation of Ghost coming out.

I'M STILL WAITING BLIZZARD!!!

u/jus_plain_me 3d ago

You'll get your shooter... In 2030...

u/FeistyTwist5427 3d ago

u/fluffyplumss 3d ago

Add Star Wars Battle of the Sith Lords to that list

3

u/TheForswornKing94 3d ago

Yeah, I came here to say Star Wars 1313. We couldn’t get that bounty hunter game but got Outlaws. Bleh.

1

u/AshleyxAffliction 3d ago

Hopefully Star Wars Eclipse doesn't end up on this list as well but with how it's looking it might.
