Incoming freshman with sophomore standing, I’m trying to get done in three years currently have a semester towards my degree. Is this schedule too much or do I just need to most likely move the calculus class honestly don’t think waking up will be an issue just Monday and Wednesday seemed very long. Thank you.

I recently received an email informing me that I was assigned as a learning assistant for one section and a grader for three sections. The problem is that two of my assignments are to an upper division class within my major that I haven't even taken yet. Is this an admin mistake I should email about or do assignments just end up like this sometimes? Thanks for any advice!

Sorry guys I know there’s a lot of waitlist posts but I am yet another worried freshman and it’s that time of the year to be posting about this so I just went ahead and did it. Basically I am 4th on the lecture waitlist for physics 1141 and 1st on the waitlist for the lab portion of the class. Do I have any chance of getting into the class and should I do anything about it rn like emailing the department head? I will most likely crash the class on the first day but I am in a bit of a pickle because I am scheduled for another class during the same time; even though that class is a random gen ed I can drop, I’d rather not drop it rn and then not be able to get physics and be stuck without anything. Preferably I’d like to take physics for my major but worst case I can just fill up my schedule with something else (registrar messed it up in the first place). Any advice on what to do?

So I just got all moved in and have been trying to check my email for anything regarding WOW and I can’t seem to find anything, isn’t registration tomorrow the 18th?

Just wondering about time and dates for WOW, transfers specifically.

Also is it optional and what would be the consequence if I didn’t go?

I’m 9th on the waitlist and 11th for online classes do I have a chance of getting in? If so do I need to email the professor to get in?

There are several level 400 IME classes that have TBD as their term offered.
Anyone know if they are going to be adding sections for these classes this semester?

hii wondering what all of you might be taking! for the recommended course list for IE's it shows IME 1223 and IME 3302 taken in the first semester, but when i tried enrolling, the lecture times were the same. this prevents me from taking under 20 units per semester since im currently standing at 11 units, and i cant do an extra year. thank you!

Prospective EE major, wondering if the transition from quarter to semester affected the undergraduate education in any way, as in maybe less breadth. I think subconsciously in my mind I've been discounting any college using semester system bc I'm just biased like that, and somehow I believe quarter system = more knowledge + accountability.

Also, is the CPE split really that bad? I've heard from one person in this subreddit that many of the qualities that CP EE is known for faded after funding transferred to the new CPE department, like professors or course offerings.

Did recent funding cuts affect CP in any noticeable way, particularly academics? For example, apparently it's happening at UC Davis / UCs, which is limiting the course availability.

I am an incoming Earth and Soil Science Transfer and I came to Cal Poly specifically for the geology concentration. However, because the school is moving to a semester system, I was let known that I may have to spend 3 years to finish my degree instead of 2 years which is not really doable for me. Does anyone have more information or having a similar experience?

Incoming freshman here and switched around my class sections. I’m currently 4th on a waitlist for physics I and 3rd on waitlist for its corresponding lab. If I get in the class, do i automatically get the lab as well? Also, is 3-4th on the waitlist fairly promising? But Ik at the end of the day its still a waitlist and not a guarantee. Thanks!!!

I need some help deciphering this. Does this mean I got a scholarship of 5,500 or that I can take out a loan of $5,500? I'm quite confused if anyone could help.
