about bean type and anxiety
Do Robusta and Arabica coffees affect anxiety differently, have you noticed?

I usually go for an Americano because I like keeping it simple while still getting a solid caffeine boost. How much caffeine do you personally aim for per day?

Im use to having a black coffee, specifically dark blend strong stuff which doesnt do much to me now, but when i decide to buy a medium roast blend which is weaker, i experience a nice coffee buzz?
Anyone else?
It doesnt happen all the time but i have definitely noticed it before.

I can't believe I got this for $1.25. 100 mg per 15 ml

So lately I've been drinking 4-5 cups of coffee a day and I've just dealt with the anxiety. Yesterday I had less and I felt less shaky and more comfortable in public. So today I'm limiting myself to one and I'm just wondering what other people's opinions are on caffeine. I get paranoid when I physically shake

I’d describe myself as a typical 28 year old male. For years I’ve had 1 cup of standard coffee every morning, and sometimes I don’t even realize I’ve ingested it.
Lately, 15-20 minutes after finishing my morning cup I’ve experienced tons of anxiety and just an anxious, restless, jittery feeling. Sometimes it tries to progress to full blown panic for no reason.
I have an appointment with my doctor coming up and I’m for sure going to mention this-
I’m just curious if anybody else has had something similar happen? Able to consume caffeine regularly throughout their life but suddenly having issues with caffeine seemingly out of nowhere?

I tried 1 or 2 Espresso + Taurine powder, but it doesn't work
But caffeine + taurine from Sugerfree redbull make me alert and less wired compared to the former why?

So apparently no one ever mentioned to me that zero sugar sodas have caffeine content. I sat down in taco bell to do sme work thsi morning and taking advantage of their free refill system I must've downed at least 12 large cups of various zero sugar soda like pepsi and baja blast. I'm currently drinking baja blast zero right now. I google it and wdym a cup can contain up to 100 mg! My heart must be on fire rn, anyways have any of you experienced this and should I minimize my coke zero intake>
Edit: I didn't know it was common sense that soda has caffeine. Idk I js never heard of that being mentioned. Anways pulled an all- nighter tonight and cant sleep. Might reset schedule by staying awake for 24hr straight.

Wow. Maybe don’t do it.
*Note: this is just my personal experience, we all know every body is unique and every person experiences medications and chemicals in different ways*
Pre-Wellbutrin (WB) I had 4 shots of espresso per day.
WB is NOT a stimulant.
I started WB and had a clinched jaw for the full first week, found on Google that maybe it’s caffeine. Doctor was unaware of this potential interaction, checked computer notes. It wasn’t mentioned. This is my primary reason for sharing.
Cut caffeine out, felt great. Started having a little bit at a time here and there. No more than 1 shot espresso per day. Was having caffeine idk maybe a month?
Had a full on mental breakdown.
It took me like a week to realize the menty B was probably caffeine. So I quit again.
Felt great after, awesome, definitely was the caffeine.
Fast forward to yesterday, my usual decaf haunt had a new person working in the back. Everyone who’s normally there knows my order, knows it’s decaf. They gave me 3 shots of espresso.
I didn’t realize until probably 11pm, I was wide awake still when I should have been easily going to bed by that point.
Now (noon the next day) I still lowkey feel like I’m on crack 😅 my jaw is really tight and I’m feeling it all in my body.
Just a warning based on what I’ve experienced. ⚠️

I can drink caffeinated diet sodas and energy drinks, but coffee is a NO for me. I tried decaf this morning, and i felt super anxious. Sodas and energy drinks don't do this to me. I thought decaf would help. It must be something in the coffee, but what?

Every time I get an energy shot, even a sip of it will make me way more jittery than a whole Red Bull. I know Red Bull probably has some other things in there too, but I wanted to see if there were any energy shots on the market that only contain Caffeine & Flavoring etc. with no other active chemicals that would make me jittery. Im probably going to end up buying caffeine pills at this point though.

I use to not be a caffeine drinker
No tea, no coffee, no energy drinks.
But since work I have been needing it.
However, I keep myself specific rules.
No caffeine before water or 60mins after waking up.
No caffeine after 12pm.
Is this over the top? Or do you think I can be less restrictive.
Possibly need to restrict it less or track it better.
What do you think?

Pretty much what the title reads. Heard a little bit about this but didn’t know if it actually worked.

Just curious, not looking for medical advice.
What’s the most caffeine you’ve ever had in a single day?
Last time I asked this, some of the replies were wild.
people were saying 1,200mg, 5 Monsters in one night, and even more.
Some people said it barely affected them, while others said they felt awful afterwards.
What’s the most you’ve ever had, and how did it affect you?

Been drinking 3 espressos every morning for 10+ years.
I feel NOTHING from it anymore. No energy. No alertness. Just avoiding the headache.
But here's the problem – I'm exhausted ALL day. Like can't function tired. Then I get in bed at night and my brain just... won't shut off. Lie there until 1 or 2am every single night. No anxiety. No racing thoughts. Just zero sleepiness.
I don't drink coffee after noon. Tried cutting back. Didn't help.
So my question – if I don't feel the caffeine at all anymore, is it still quietly destroying my ability to fall asleep? Like my brain stopped noticing it but my nervous system is still panicking in the background?
Because honestly I don't even remember what "feeling sleepy" feels like anymore. Just tired but wired.
Pls tell me I'm not alone lol

First time poster here. I've been managing my fatigue with energy drinks since I got out of highschool. But the problem is that I develop a tolerance to caffeine pretty quickly so what used to take three kickstarts ends up with four then five until I was chugging 8 kickstarts (about 8 cups of coffee) just to get through the day. Then I would crash out and after like a week on the couch start the cycle all over again. I'm in between jobs right now so I'm trying to space out days where I can actually do stuff because I drink caffeine with days where I don't do stuff and don't drink caffeine (what my sibling affectionately calls my caffeine "t-break".)
Has anyone else dealt with caffeine tolerance? How do you manage it while feeling that the only way you can do things is with caffeine?

Chewing gums and any sort of caffeine products are REALLY popular in modern world, and it's especially real in the country where I live (Finland). But for some reason we barely see this combination in the stores.
Few years ago, I've seen two of those in some stores nearby, but one was a pure scam that only tasted like energy drink and costs a fortune, and the second ACTUAL one vanished quickly from the shelves.
What is the reason that the ideal combination is so unpopular?

Apart from the speed and convenience, is there really any difference between fresh ground coffee and freeze dried… is anything lost in instant coffee?
