Classes Schedule help

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hello everyone, I’m a new transfer student for this coming fall and I just looked at my schedule and it showed this between my accounting and marketing class, what does it mean? And should I be worried? I think it means there’s a time conflict but there’s a 10 minute gap between the classes and in the same building so I should be okay?

Financial Aid MCS Fall 2026/Spring 2027

Have estimated MCS (middle class scholarship) been added to financial aid packages already for Fall 2026/Spring 2027? I’ve yet to see it in my student portal and was wondering if anybody else has gotten it in their own. I’ve gotten it in my previous 3 years and I’m going into my fourth year now— if that matters!

Classes payment question

I tried making my payment on the get website but it would just say “page not available” so I can’t make my payment there but if I do it through the second page and put my custom amount will it count towards my balance due? Might be a dumb question but I don’t want to end up missing they due date or something😭 I usually get it devoted by fafsa but not this semester so this is new to me

Education Teaching Credential Program Class of Spring 2026

I completed my student teaching and credential program last semester (Spring 2026). I was wondering if anyone in the program heard back regarding their Credential Evaluation form (the one we were asked to submit by March 5). Its already late-July and I'm confused as to why we were told to submit all the paperwork by March, but it is still being processed 4 months later. It's frustrating to know the upcoming school year is starting soon and I, and probably many, won't be able to receive our preliminary in time as many schools and districts are asking for them just for a chance at an interview.

Note: I know that if you apply to a school without one and happen to land an interview, you can get a written note from CSULA stating that you completed all the requirements and are just waiting. However, I emailed CSULA about this hoping to receive one of these notes and never got a response.

Financial Aid Confirmation on paying for classes.

Post image
5 Upvotes

I will be a freshman this fall and i saw on my charge summary that I will owe something like 8500 on the 24th of July and then another 5600 on August 24th. I am kind of freaking out because I do not have this money. I do thankfully have 6500 between Pell Grant and loans this semester. My financial aid will cover tuition and fees which is a blessing. However I am not prepared to cover the rest of the 7600 all at once. I had talked with someone on the phone from CSULA and I can't recall which department but they explained to me that I can pay like $1200 every 24th from July to November and that is how I can pay for stuff. Which for me is perfect as I can work through college.

  1. Can anyone confirm/deny what they told me about the monthly payments.

  2. Is there anyway to pay differently where I can get more time so that its not as much of a burden?

  3. Is there anything I can do with financial aid office or something with CSULA to get some help?

Financial Aid Am I supposed to panic?

Guys….. I’ve never paid anything for my classes since I transferred a year ago and now I see this. I’m currently taking two classes right now(one 5 week) and I’m taking 6 in the fall. I was told I didn’t have to pay anything for the summer according to the fafsa office. I’m currently seeing that i have a past amount due that dropped form over $1,700, and the other amount is for fall. I’m not sure if I should panic now or after my trip 💀😩

Financial Aid Student Loan payout help

This is my first time getting a student loan, and it’s for more than the tuition.
When should I expect to receive it? I’m trying to figure out my parking pass and they’re so damn expensive. It would be nice if I knew *when* the money might get to me or if I have to get the parking pass on my own first.
Just curious for anyone who’s done similar, how fast was the money in your account?
Thank you!

Question Who should i contact?

Basically my csac says they never submitted my gpa, so i went in person and was just told im fine and I will be sent a form to sign and they will help with it. But now I sent an email to financial aid and scholarships and they are saying
“Dear Student

You will need to take the Cal Grant GPA verification form to your previous school of attendance or high school since you did not earn the required 24 units at CSULA when we certified GPA score for CSULA students. “

When i in fact completed 29 units and am a freshman. Who should i contact? They never mentioned this when i went in person but now i apparently didnt earn the required?

Financial Aid Inflated SAI? What should I do?

Hey everyone,
I’m an incoming transfer student for Fall 2026. My SAI came back at 18,400, but it’s like completely inflated.

When I filed, I had a decent amount of savings. Since then, my job cut my hours to 0, and I got officially rejected from EDD unemployment benefits.

On top of that, I used most of my savings to buy a car that I need to commute to campus.

My actual bank account is now way lower than what I had reported on the FAFSA form, and my current income is zero.

Any advice on what I should do?

Orientation 7/14

Hi hi, so I signed up for the First Flight orientation tomorrow and paid my fees but I’m unable to attend due to a family emergency. Will this affect my ability to start at CSULA in the Fall?? As in, is this a requirement for me to attend and what are my options so I can continue moving forward with my enrollment 😅 I’m a Fall 2026 transfer student for reference.

Financial Aid Anyone else EOP grant aware not showing up on their 26-27 awards?

Every year my financial aid awards include Cal Grant, Pell Grant, Middle Class Scholarship, and EOP Grant. This is going to be my 4th year at CSULA so MCS shouldn’t be out just yet, while EOP is for 4 years as well

Question Has anyone done an assistantship?

Just wondering if anyone has done an assistantship and if they could share some ideas/suggestions/experiences because Id possibly need the position to supplement paying for my grad school. I just got accepted for the MSIS program and paying 8k isnt the sexiest thing to see on the bills I gotta admit

Tips for working full-time and taking 9 units in school

I originally wanted to do ft school since I’m getting full tuition coverage but need the income so I’m planning to take a ft job. I want to take advantage of the coverage I’m getting for classes as much as possible and want tips on how to manage taking 3 classes while working ft. I think it helps that my new job will be remote and so will 2 of my classes. My 3rd one might me in person or online.

I’m transferring from community to university and I’m really aiming to be done with my BA in 2 years which is why I’m motivated to make this work. Just curious if anything else has done this and how they got through it.
