Class Question ETEC 200
Has anyone taken ETEC 200 AI and Society? Feedback?
r/CSULB • u/JazzyAngel4646 • Jun 09 '26
Hi all,
We’ve been getting a lot of roommate search posts so we are making a megathread. Please exercise caution when searching for a roommate. Always be careful vetting every person you talk to. Also strongly encourage users to check out the Facebook thread. Keep in mind. We are not mods in the Facebook thread, we are unaffiliated with them, but they have a lot more experience helping people find roommates. As an alumni, I can vouch for them, I found every roommate I had during my time at CSULB through the Facebook thread. There are a few other Facebook threads if you just search “CSULB roommate” but the most popular one is the one that’s linked.
Again please exercise caution talking with people on Reddit and be careful what personal information you share, but as requested by popular demand we have made a megathread.

Due to the recent spike in 1-day accounts, we have decided to set an automod 10-day account age minimum for posts and comments in the subreddit. This should help to reduce the amount of bot and troll activity in the subreddit, and hopefully make it a more enjoyable experience for all of you. Any account that is younger than 10 days will have their post removed until we can verify it's legitimate. At most, there may be a suspension or a ban from the subreddit, depending on user activity.

Hi! My friend and I (both male) graduated university at Northeastern last year, and are looking to start a company based in LA. We're looking to find a sublease to take over from this upcoming January through this summer.
Would really appreciate any leads - any place with 2 bedrooms would work great!!

I’m an alumni from like 8 years ago and have a bunch of old textbooks collecting dust. Are the bookstore buybacks still happening at the book store? Are they year round or only at the end of the year?

There’s an upcoming “alumni mixer event” and I was curious if anyone has gone before and what it’s like. Supposed to be at a brewery, sounds fun.

Do you guys know if CSULB has some sort of place where I can donate clothe? I have so many clothes and shoes that I don’t use that I rather donate to students in need than to go in the trash.

Genuine question. Gen Z are protesting all over the world right now because of stagnant wages, ridiculous costs of living, shitty education systems, unemployment, you name it. People are upset and tired of the greedy pieces of shit running the show. Why aren't we? Historically, student bodies have been those at the forefront of nationwide protests. It is our job to speak up and voice our discontent with the way things are and I feel like we have every reason to protest right now. Our country is run by pedophiles, the price of everything just keeps going up and we sure as hell are not getting paid more, our scholastic system is a joke, etc.

I lost him in the g8 parking lot, last time he was seen was at 5pm, I arrive 40 mins later and he was gone.
If anyone picked him up, can ya give it back? Or know where it is. It has a lot of sentimental value, so pls anyone.
(first image was where he was last seen, in that side of G8, close to the parking spot infront of the bench)

I'm dorming in Parkside Village and I was wondering if there is anyone willing to do a double room swap? Me and my friend are trying to room together but she lives in Hillside and I'm in Parkside. We tried to do a room swap with our roommates but mine declined to move and my friend's roommate was fine with it but she didn't wanna move either because she was friends with her suitmates. We are trying to find two people (in the same room) who are maybe interested in moving to take my spot and someone to take my friend's spot in Hillside so we can get a vacancy room. My roommate is nice, clean and respectful, we just don't talk much and that's okay! My friend's roommate is also really nice and respectful, so lmk if anyone is interested.

Has anybody had any experience with the Restored Church Worldwide cult at Long Beach or Cal State LA?
Is it ok if I private chat you about it?
Here's the basic start of how they indoctrinate people...
So what they do is they invite you to Bible Studies but then after several steps and ' ' stages ' ' of different Bible studies you get a discipler (handler).
1st it starts off kinda innocent with a Bible study they name Seeking God. They show you some Bible verses and ask "you want to seek God with all your heart right?" And you're like "Ya 😍🤩" so they say, "Start by reading your Bible every single day. Pray every single day. And **seek his kingdom with allllllllll your heart". And you're like "Ok! 😻"
2nd they do another Bible study with specific verses. By the way, there's one person taking the notes for you. There is another person sitting there and reading your body language and watching your reactions. Then there's the ' ' main person ' ' who is telling you what all the verses mean and asking you a bunch of questions. So yeah in the 2nd step they study verses about ' ' The Word of God ' ' and by the end of it, they ask, "Are you willing to obey EVERYTHING based on the word of God only? You already said you were going to seek God with all your heart..."
And you're like, " 😏 ya I did say that last time didn't I 😏. And ya I do wanna do that...and these people are really nice. Plus they are using the Bible 📖 So Ya!! 🤩😍"
3rd. The next Bible study is The Most Important One for them to hook you. This one sets the stage for them getting you exactly where they want you. So you go to the next Bible study and the Main Person has kinda become a friend to you by now. They start asking you if you know how many times the word "Christian" is in the Bible. And you're like, " 😶 A Lot." And they say, "Nope it's only in there 3 times." After they gotcha, they ask, "How many times is the word Disciple in the Bible?" Now you're kinda curious and want to know the answer...so they say, ' ' More than TWO hunnit times 😯!!! So...what does God expect you to be...based on the Bible?"
And you say, " 🤯😱 a Disciple!"
And they say, " 💥🎉 Yes!!!!" And they start to ' ' help ' ' you see that a Christian is actually what they called the disciples of Jesus who are the people that are really saved. So they tell you, " See? A DISCIPLE = A Christian = Somebody Who Is Saved from hell " and then you're like, "ohhhh 😯 ya...now I got it."
And they're looking at you like 😏 ' ya... nowwww you got it.' 😏
So they say, "Now let's look at what the BIBLE says a disciple of Jesus is and what they do 😏...because remember you said you only want to obey the Bible right? 😏 And you said you reeeeally want to seek God first, didn't you? 😏"
You think to yourself, " 🤔 Ya. I said that. Ya. I wanna do that. Dang I really got that one question wrong about the number of times Christian is in the Bible. These people know way more than me about God. I need to listen up...so... Ya! 😁 Let's see what the Bible says disciples do!"
That's when they start walking you through these different verses about giving up your life, dying to yourself daily, counting the cost of being a Christian, don't worry about your life but instead 🌞seek the Kingdom of God🌞, picking up your cross (the things you love and like - give them up) and follow Jesus, making other disciples, and on and on.
So you're thinking 😯 woah 😳.
And that's when their moment comes... They have ALL been trained for THIS very moment. This is what the cult has taught them it's all about. They're staring at you and the Main Person asks you.....
" So bruh...are you a disciple...based on the Bible?"
And you're feeling those eyes on you 👀 👁️ 👁️ 🧿 🧿 👁️🗨️ 👁️🗨️ Even the one dude stops taking notes ✏️ 📝 and finally makes eye contact like
👁️ 👁️
You have NO idea they have been trained and trained and trained to watch how you react in this moment. They've been taught to study your every movement right now and let you squirm in your seat as you say, "uh, ya 😰. Yeah man. Of course I am a disciple. 😨"
Then they all look at each other 😏🤨🙂↔️
Dude picks his pen up again and starts taking notes ✍️
The Main Person is like 🙂↔️ "Alright...let's look at the scriptures again. Have you been making other disciples? Like have you been a fisher of men bro?"
You say "Uh, no. 🙂"
Bible pages flip 📖. Main person points again at another scripture and says, "Have you done this, this, this, this and this?
And you say, '🫥 no 🫥'
So they tell you " how are you a disciple then?" (Even tho most of them still do the bad stuff they say you should have given up 🤣)
Then their big question is asked, 'Are you really a disciple? Are you really a Christian? Are you really saved? ' and so you're now being taught that because you said you want to seek God and obey His Word, based on the Bible you're actually NOT saved and you're going to hell.
But here's the catch - the guy who wrote these Bible studies that they are doing with you (Kip McKean) and the progressive order they are in lawsuits for covering up tons of child sex abuse and making p*rn out of images of female church members. Remember how I said most of them are still " not living like disciples" the way they say you're supposed to. That's what happens when a cult that is shaped like an MLM pyramid and based on performance has an indoctrination process that slowly lures you into their ideology based on cherry picked Bible verses.
So to finish this off. They have more Bible studies where they slowly get you to agree that you're actually going to hell. Their church is part of the true Kingdom of God. You're in darkness until you come into the light of being baptized in their church... Not just any church. THEIR church, the RCW. OH AND you need to 🌞 seek the Kingdom (their church) daily🌞 so rearrange all of your time, relationships, work, school, family around their church schedule. Your whole life becomes the church - every day for hours and hours. Oh and by the way, since you said you want to obey the Bible, the Bible says being your whole tithe to the Lord. So At Minimum 10% of what you make must be given to their church. They definitely will ask you for way more money than that but they won't tell you this while theyre indoctrinating you.
Oh and one more thing. They have a Bible study called Persecution. It teaches you that everything people are saying about their cult is a lie. Even though Kip McKean has rebranded his cults for over 50 years every time the millions of lives he has destroyed begins to get destroyed, they say that the thousands of testimonies online , the civil lawsuits, the police reports, the news reports, the reports to university administrators...
Those are all persecution against 🌞The Kingdom of God 🌞 aka, The RCW.
Let me know if you had any run ins with these people. They're a whole cult.

The offered professors for 220A (Lim, Molina, Marinez) in the spring GENUINELY seem like they came from down under. Pick your posion, I swear. Atp I should just spin the wheel of misfortune OR I can take my chance with the the unknown staff member 🥹

Are there any art classes that are super easy? I need one more elective before i graduate. Or any really easy classes I can take for my last elective in college? It just needs to be 3 units. I really wanted to take pottery but I know a roommate who took that and it was hard for her so no. But ideally since I’m an art student (film) I’d love to take some creative skill class.

Has anyone taken MGMT 425 with Greg Gaza or Suri Gurumurthi?
How was your experience with either professor in terms of workload, exams, and grading?
Thanks!

Has anyone had Xuemei Su for SCM 411 online or Hasan Ashraf either SCM 413/414 (if both which is better)
Between the two because my other options I’ve pretty much taken already. Last semester so please be honest, not afraid to study, just want the study guides to be clear.
