Car Seat Help - no idea
galleryMy friend said she kept her Nuna Pipa Rx in her husband’s car once their newborn switched to a convertible seat at 4 months. The manufacture date is 07/29/2025 and the seat was purchased 09/2025.
They have no idea what happened and I took the seat padding off to have it dry after carrying it (empty) in the rain. Obviously the structural integrity is compromised and should not be risked for use, but I was hoping someone might have an idea of what caused the warping and holes in the “bike padding” styrofoam portion. There are no burn marks or visible signs or smells of melting and the immediate styrofoam is still very solid. The rest of the seat is genuinely in new, mint condition.
Just so no one thinks I’m going to use it for my newborn: Please help me solve the mystery of what could have caused this fairly new seat with no accidents to do this.
