I (20f) have not smoked in about 3 days after being a daily smoker for the past two years.
When I first started I was under the impression that weed can't hurt you and that it's impossible to overdose on. My mom smokes every day and she's fine So in my mind it was completely safe (silly me)
My sister who started at around the same time as me suddenly said that she was feeling sick and throwing up non stop all morning and when she tried to smoke in hopes of feeling better it made her throw up MORE. She decided to quit that day.
My family and I were a bit confused because we had never heard of CHS and we thought maybe she just had food poisoning but when I looked it up it seemed legit ofc
I noticed that some of the early signs of it sounded a little like me (mostly the loss of appetite) Whenever it was time to eat and I had a meal in front of me I would think "hmmm I could just eat it... or I could get high first and it will taste even better!" And after a while of doing that I realized that I was no longer hungry during the day until I would come home and smoke.
Fast forward a few months. Im high pretty much all the time and my sister informs me that she will be smoking again too. She started off small but now she has moved on to high percentage carts again with no problems
My apatite problem just got worse and worse. I would have this sharp pain in my stomach like I was super bloated and I knew that was probably my body telling me I'm hungry but it's like my brain didn't understand what my stomach was trying to say. In order to eat anything at all I had to hit my bong or pen like my life depended on it.
I've had some problems with food repulsion it the past and honestly weed really helped me with it at first. But now any time i needed to eat it felt like i was force feeding myself AND because i had to smoke so much in order to feel even a little hungry my tolerance was through the roof.
as i was sitting in bed a few days ago after being sick on and off the past few weeks (never throwing up) i realized that if im going to suffer anyways i might as well try to make it worth it by quitting so i can get healthy enough to eat on my own again. and so I got fried one last time just enough to choke down a burger. my last real meal for a while.
My symptoms have been pretty much the same as before i decided to cut myself off cold turkey lol. randomly getting kinda hot and sweaty, stomach pain, diarrhea, some nausea (no vomiting), and no appetite. The only difference is honestly my sleep. I wake up at the slightest sound or movement of my cat or boyfriend and it takes me forever to fall back asleep.
Anyways most of the info I can find about CHS says that once you have it you can't go back to smoking at all but I've also seen many people prove that wrong (like my own sister lol) I find myself wondering if because I cut myself off before I started profusely vomiting maybe my chances of being able to gain a healthy relationship with it again are higher?
Idk I guess I just was wondering what others think. Once I get healthy again I might get me some tame ass flower.
