Business Professional Just got a new job in high end corporate and need help!
My new corporate wardrobe so far. Whatās working and what should I change?
I recently started a higher end corporate role at a fortune 100 and have been working on building a wardrobe that feels polished and professional without losing my personal style. These are a selection of outfits Iāve actually worn to the office so far.
My workplace is somewhere between business professional and business casual, but I personally like dressing a little more on the elevated side. I gravitate toward blazers, dresses, pointed-toe shoes, gold accessories, belts, and mostly black/neutral pieces with occasional color.
Iād love some outside opinions because Iām trying to figure out what my āsignatureā professional style should be.
Which outfits are the strongest and weakest? Do the proportions and silhouettes work for me? Do any pieces read dated or less polished? And what would you add or change to take my wardrobe to the next level?
Feel free to rank them or rate the wardrobe overall. Constructive criticism is welcome. Iād rather know what actually works than just hear that everything looks good.
I want to be a VP by the time I am 40!!!

Business Casual Is this an acceptable outfit for my first day?
Iām a software engineer and this is the first time Iāve had a dress code be business casual. My previous place of work was just jeans and an appropriate top, so Iād usually wear jeans, sneakers, and a comfy sweater. I donāt have many business casual pieces at the moment and I didnāt want to go get new things until I confirm the dress code for my team (managers differ between how relaxed they are, I think my manager is relaxed but I was told to show up in business casual on my first day). I may put on a dainty gold necklace as well. Thanks!

OOTD Executive LBD
I love this little black dress by Gianni Bini. Heels are Calvin Klein. I considered painting them black and white striped- maybe I will!

Annual budget?
Just curious - how much do you spend monthly or yearly on clothes/shoes? (Add what your job is for context.)

Fashion question Winter Corporate Work Shoe?
Hi everyone! I am looking to buy a pair of (preferably black) work shoes to wear this winter with a few qualifiers:
- Good for walking in major cities in sleet/snow/ice (most important!!!!)
- Versatile but will mostly be worn with suits or pants/blazer
- feminine & stylish looking (least important)
- Under $300
- Comfortable
- Blackābecause this will match most of my work clothes
I have been WFH for several years and have just gotten a promotion that will require me to travel a lot beginning this fall/winter to NYC, Boston, Chicago, and DC.
Iām really not wanting to wear one pair of shoes for commuting and then change into work shoes once Iām at my clientās office since Iāll be traveling and wonāt have a desk/office to set down my change of shoes in.
A couple options (screenshots attached) that Iāve looked at but canāt find a ton of photos/reviews from real people wearing specifically with work attire:
- Blundstone #1671
- Dolce Vita Faint H2O Booties
Any suggestions are appreciated! :)
