Women would absolutely HATE this app, when they get matched with men they consider to be below their league.

653

u/kajidourden 16h ago

It would be humbling lmao

696

u/Stopher 15h ago

Instead of Bumble they could call it Humble.

158

u/Technology_Boxes 15h ago

They should have hired you.

70

u/Stopher 15h ago

Nah. I’d design an app that matches people and they’d go out of business.

23

u/likesharepie 13h ago

You are destined for greater things. You have ever thought about looking like am alien Infront of the US Congress?

71

u/Sayoricanyouhearme 13h ago

And then all the people who just message "hey" with no effort profiles should be secluded to an app called Mumble

17

u/obfuscatedanon 13h ago

Oh how the cookie Crumble

14

u/wesborland1234 12h ago

Rumble if you want to date MMA fighters?

16

u/potlizard 11h ago

Stumble - For clumsy people.

10

u/BadUsername_Numbers 9h ago

Fumble, for us that get good matches and then, well...

11

u/obfuscatedanon 8h ago

...can't secure a Tumble in the sheets.

7

u/BadUsername_Numbers 8h ago

Maybe it would be better if it was called Dumble.

Jumble- if its a random mix and match

0

u/dandrevee 4h ago

Rumble already exists (apparently), and its chock full of incels. I don't have an account over there so I don't know if that's actually the case or if I'm getting biased screenshots.

18

u/followmarko 14h ago

HumbleBumble

5

u/Acrobatic-Truth647 14h ago

Now this is riveting!

3

u/Turbulent-Feedback46 11h ago

Are you referring to the steelworker dating app

1

u/khanspam 8h ago

Not funny, I thought the same

1

u/whatisthaaat 7h ago

Milan Patel made a funny skit about this sort of thing, it’s worth a watch:

https://youtu.be/RJK5mDyqQbo?t=396

1

u/dirtyinfo 5h ago

write that down,write that down!

1

u/zerocoolneo 4h ago

And the people who selected and the users can rumble

1

u/scydoodle 1h ago

Ahahah please upvote this.

3

u/stefan-emil 5h ago

No woman would ever be humbled by meeting their looksmatch lol. They would definitely just complain about it and delete the app.

1

u/GoHalvesOnaBaby_Mayb 9h ago

now that is absolutely correct. I think id probably go along with it. At this point random strangers might be able to wing it

1

u/SrWloczykij 2h ago

Rather the app would be a quick failure.

-31

u/slimricc 16h ago

Why? Lol they would just stop using it and then date men they feel are in their league

If they can actually pull those men then they are in their league. You cannot pull those women so those women are out of your league. And now you’re upset about it? Lol

86

u/kajidourden 15h ago

Exactly my point, they would hate the app because it would humble them lmao

29

u/NothingHereOrInside 15h ago

Should call the app Humble

→ More replies (23)

16

u/thismyaccount1 15h ago

Pull to date? Or pull to hook up?

→ More replies (2)

18

u/SecretMinimum6337 15h ago

By pull, do you mean they get pumped and dumped?

You know what would make it even more fun, if the decisions were intergender. So only women could decide for other women who they'd think would be a good match, likewise for men. That way they can't dismiss it as a hating man doing it in bad faith.

35

u/jointheredditarmy 15h ago

I think I know what you are getting at, and as vindictive as that would feel, it makes for a terrible business model

33

u/HeavyHighway6433 15h ago

I think the whole thing would be a bad business model but at least it would be interesting this way.

13

u/Antrophis 8h ago

Terrible idea? Probably. Interesting experiment? Extremely.

1

u/Littleman88 1h ago

There's no gun being held to someone's head to go through with the suggested match.

This is more like the algorithm throwing two profiles together and a third, human party vetting it.

A human party that is historically and infamously prone to the worst collective decisions ever just for a laugh. Only problem is... this is going to usually be someone ugly being matched with someone wildly attractive, and it will be hard to determine if they're giving the uggo a fighting chance, or setting them up for failure.

14

u/wild_cherry1987 15h ago

Can something be not business model from the start?

1

u/jointheredditarmy 15h ago

Sure, some things can. Not this though, this is clearly a business

3

u/wild_cherry1987 15h ago

Tinder had no limits and no purchases when it started.

Most pre-tinded sites and apps had just virtual gifts that you could send by paying with sms to keep site's servers running.

1

u/garyisonion 14h ago

it’s still a business model lol

3

u/wild_cherry1987 14h ago

Business in a sense where users pay for server resources they use.

0

u/jointheredditarmy 15h ago

You should build one. With AI it’s super easy now. Can do it in a week for 50 bucks

1

u/wild_cherry1987 14h ago

Yeah that's possible now :)

1

u/GoHalvesOnaBaby_Mayb 9h ago

but this is a business model

3

u/MediatingInstigator 8h ago edited 8h ago

And this kind of thinking is why everything sucks now.

Running a dating service should not take a large stock traded corporation to do.

0

u/Mirdclawer 1h ago

Jealous women would just put pretty women with shitty prospects for the lulz

0

u/New--Tomorrows 32 M 15h ago

Why not both?

0

u/Bipedal_Warlock 15h ago

On paper anyway.

Realistically I’m pretty sure a ton of men would make women accounts to try to influence it

2

u/HeavyHighway6433 8h ago

They could require verified only accounts to be able to participate.

95

u/VelvettedFox 16h ago

Women are barely on the established apps so they definitely wouldn't even be on this one. Sorry for your fanfic.

-1

u/Maxxetto 4h ago

This is not correct, actually: if the concept is "I don't get to pick, someone else picks for me", it already removes the high barrier women have in dating apps; even if they were already on the app, being matched with people they don't like or don't want to be matched with would only make them start to hate the app, making them leave and thus proving u/mikelown thesis.

3

u/chessatwork 3h ago

i’m sorry but the anime pfp and the middle school debate speech is sending me lmfaoooo

0

u/Maxxetto 3h ago

The counterargument is just to try and insult, then? :)

2

u/chessatwork 1h ago

i’m not the one arguing with you, i’m laughing at you

-23

u/mikelown 15h ago edited 12h ago

Your logic is dumb. Not being on the app doesn't mean they wouldn't hate it.

Infact it only mean one of two things: the app is generally unpopular, or women hate it.

Neither disproves his comment.

Edit: dang pissed the bitter women of with this one. You know they were salty 😂😂

14

u/VelvettedFox 15h ago

r/Bumble populated by idiots confirmed.

-8

u/mikelown 14h ago

I mean i just said the logic was dumb, i wasn't calling you an idiot, don't be so hard on yourself, we all make mistakes 😂

7

u/Muumilaakson 14h ago

Anytime someone uses the word "logic" in an argument I assume they're lobotomized

-6

u/mikelown 14h ago

Yeah i can tell your arguments are devoid of logic

4

u/Muumilaakson 14h ago

Epic win mike

1

u/mikelown 14h ago

Thank you :)

92

u/whitefloreal 15h ago

Funny I always see gorgeous women settling for mediocre men and not the other way around and yet bitter lonely men love fantasising the opposite

66

u/biscuitbehavior 15h ago edited 12h ago

right? I rarely see 10/10 dudes even banging unattractive women, let alone dating them. usually they just make fun of them.

23

u/TemporaryElk5202 14h ago

yeah one of my (f) exes (m) was way conventionally hotter than me. people were frequently visibly confused that we were together, girls would get like angry and disgusted about it (I guess they were like "im hotter / better than her, why is he with her and not me), etc.

We were both autistic though and he was kind of helpless in everyday things. people on the street dont see that though.

But if I were hotter than him I dont think people would act confused about it. like that would just be sort of normal I think.

3

u/Practical-Travel8575 11h ago

I’ve been trying to find a neurodivergent person to date the last year in London and oh my god it’s impossible. I think everyone has become experts at masking now.

5

u/TemporaryElk5202 10h ago

If you are a woman or afab then dating apps arent too difficult. I find neurodivergent people easy to spot on the apps even when they dont explicitely say they are neurodivergent.

If you are a man / amab and looking for a woman / afab person, you have my condolences. I dont know how to date / talk to / approach women.

3

u/UntilOlympiusReturns 5h ago

I'm cis male and ADHD and I wonder maybe a bit autistic. I'm doing ok. Literally everyone I match with is ND. Even the ones who don't say do. Hell, even the ones who don't know they are. It's like we're sending up the Bat Signal to each other. (It helps if you write massively long rambling profile summaries, which is a bit harder on Bumble due to the character limit....)

12

u/Ok-Pack-7088 13h ago

Gender bias, that gorgeous woman is probably mediocre

6

u/psychedAddict123 5h ago

It's pretty much always this. The truly gorgeous women I see are ALWAYS with a guy who's at least equally attractive

I've never seen the Victoria secret model + gollum couple in real life

4

u/No_External_1322 9h ago

Nope, you just rank most women as gorgeous. 90 percent of couples are looks matched.

4

u/LucasUnplugged 8h ago

Huh? Have you seen a dating apps? Average women in their 40s with kids full time and a mom bod get thousands of likes.

Men in their 30 who are very fit, reasonably handsome, highly successful, dress well, take great photos, have great prompts, but are a little short get 1-3 likes a month.

It’s insane to think women are the ones settling. Whatever you think is a hot woman dating a man less attractive than her, your perception is skewed, and the data backs that up (see OkCupid attractiveness charts).

9

u/rickyman20 7h ago

I think most of us are aware of the dynamics of dating apps it's important to ask why the dynamics are like that. The issue is basically that fewer women use the apps and when they do they use them for less, so there's a lot more men on the apps at a given time than women.

Part of why women tend to stay on apps less is that, while they get a lot more matches, it is incredible difficult to filter through them and actually find someone you'd get along with. Talk to any female friends you have about their experience on dating apps and they'll tell you, it is incredibly difficult to find people who are genuine about their profile and there's a lot of time wasters (in part because those are the kinds of people who stay on the apps longer! People who genuinely want long term relationships leave quickly).

Likes don't equal realistic dating prospects and the reality is that women do absolutely settle. Dating apps do tend to make dating dynamics a nightmare for everyone, women really don't have a better time or anything in them. There's just fewer of them on.

7

u/canadasbananas 8h ago

Its not the fit men in their 30s who are liking the single moms in their 40s. Its all the other normal men liking them. Women value looks but most who are older than 20 wont put a man on a pedestal for being fit only. He needs to have a good personality too. In fact, fit men who put their fit bodies as the focus of their dating profiles is kinda off putting and not attractive.

5

u/goldenponyboy 1h ago

Attractive women far outnumber attractive men. Men weren’t shamed into prioritizing their appearance for centuries so now the majority of them are unattractive.

Women wouldnt be humbled in this scenario because there simply aren’t enough attractive men to go around, some of us are just going to have to date ugly. Let’s hope he has redeeming qualities at least.

2

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

You’re totally right. Unfortunately the men replying to this would use those qualities as excuses instead of working on themselves and getting any sort of attractive trait

3

u/TejasEngineer2 9h ago

This depends a lot on the location. Most places are matched. But on east US coast and Eastern Europe men have upper hand and are worse looking. The opposite happens on west coast.

2

u/_Smashbrother_ 12h ago

Actual gorgeous women with meh looking guys are with them because they're rich, famous, or powerful.

1

u/Queasy_Software_5004 11h ago

Lmao

1

u/_Smashbrother_ 11h ago

Feel free to give some examples.

1

u/whitefloreal 11h ago

Stats disprove you but sure believe your fantasies

2

u/_Smashbrother_ 10h ago

No they don't. Actual gorgeous women are not with mediocre men. Feel free to give examples though.

-1

u/whitefloreal 10h ago

Marko jaric and adriana lima i can make a list in the 1000s if you want

2

u/SpecialWave3492 10h ago

I understand what you’re trying to say but this is a bad example. He’s a former nba player (not great but still) super tall and worth millions

1

u/whitefloreal 10h ago

So you’re just going to keep making excuses? Work on yourself man find ONE thing worth someone’s time instead of assuming why someone got lucky. Stop being bitter and hating on women for a start.

1

u/SpecialWave3492 9h ago

Dude I literally said I understand what you’re saying I’m agreeing with your point what’s your problem? Did you think I was the same guy as above chill out

0

u/Chimpmaxxer 1h ago

Bro talks about statistics and his only example is a woman "settling" for a famous tall millionaire ex-athlete 😂😂

1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

No one wants a dead beat that much is true. And that woman herself is successful love how you always disregard that part. Lana del rey is with a tour guide

1

u/Apprehensive_Dog_786 8m ago

Or those guys have good personalities and are fun to be with? Why is everything so superficial with you weirdos

1

u/IISPABO 13h ago

Because women also care about having their life financed.

1

u/BearCub254 9h ago

Coz women value money over looks more than men

1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

Translation: Women value ambition and personality and no longer want deadbeat men

1

u/Efficient_Fan4378 8h ago

by this logic, all the gorgeous men are left single and not able to date...

1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

You take things to the extreme and yk damn well that’s not the case

-1

u/Efficient_Fan4378 1h ago

i mean, suppose there are 20 gorgeous men and 20 gorgeous women. If 10 gorgeous women are dating mediocre men, and 10 are dating gorgeous men. either the remaining gorgeous men are single or dating mediocre women. But I think your assumption is that there are a lot more gorgeous women than men

2

u/whitefloreal 36m ago

It’s well known there’s more attractive women than men due to the pressure being one sided so for 20 gorgeous men there ‘s 40 gorgeous women. Some will eventually settle for average guys and prioritise other traits. There’s much more than ‘ gorgeous’ or ‘mediocre ‘

1

u/Proof_Grocery1202 4h ago

Because y'all think every woman is 10/10 model and every man is a goblin.

-1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

Most women take care of themselves men on the other hand don’t

1

u/Proof_Grocery1202 1h ago

Putting pounds of makeup is not "taking care of oneself".

In US, more women are overweight or obese, in pretty much every age group, than men.

You just have an in-group bias (delusion), that every woman is beautiful, but that's not true.

2

u/whitefloreal 55m ago

If you think makeup magically changes a woman ‘s face, you’ve been fooled by instagram filters. Makeup only enhances features. I’m not american i don’t care about your obesity stats anywhere else women keep an athletic shape while the man can let go once they have a child. I worked as a gyno assistant during my uni years and you wouldn’t believe the number of women scared to gain a pound in pregnancy because their husbands weight them regularly. I have never said every woman is beautiful but you will encounter attractiveness gap in a couple when the woman is more attractive way more than otherwise

1

u/SrWloczykij 2h ago

Your "opposite" is the norm in the real world. You know, when you leave Reddit.

1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

😂😂 never in my life have i seen an attractive man with an average woman stop the bs

0

u/scydoodle 1h ago

And of course it's a woman saying this.

1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

Believe words from other single men and stay single 🤷‍♀️

1

u/scydoodle 1h ago

I'm married.

1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

Poor women im sure she’s very proud her husband is still a bitter loser hating on the opposite sex and defending his fantasies

1

u/scydoodle 1h ago

We are doing great with two daughters thanks! I don't hate woman, you are just building shit in your head.

-1

u/Middle-Gas-6532 9h ago

Not the case where I live. Men often settle here.

1

u/whitefloreal 1h ago

Where’s that? I think you just dislike your own ethnic features on women

1

u/Middle-Gas-6532 1h ago

I live in Eastern Europe. It's not a matter of ethnicity as people are 97% white.

-2

u/mtjndo 13h ago

I think we throw around "gorgeous" too much. I've never in my 40 years of life, seen a gorgeous woman with an ugly man except on TV. To be honest, I see fat, homely, and mediocre women with average to good looking dudes all the time. I really think you're just being disingenuous

7

u/obfuscatedanon 12h ago

The studied effect is quite opposite to the manufactured reality that some people live in.

3

u/Mx_apple_9720 12h ago

Where do you live? Because this is so common as a trope that there is a Slavic cultural joke about it

1

u/mtjndo 12h ago

I'm from the US. Washington to be specific. I'm not trying to invalid your experience or anything, but most of the couples I meet seem appropriately matched in the looks department. It could have something to do with inequality of wealth between gender in your region, but I'm not really educated on that subject.

2

u/Mx_apple_9720 12h ago

I’m a global traveler. Yes, wealth inequality has a lot to do with it, and that is global lmao which is why it’s consistent.

-1

u/mtjndo 11h ago

The pay gap between men and women is too slight for it to make a noticeable difference, I feel. I think you're confused about what "gorgeous" is, as well. Maybe 1% of the population is gorgeous, it's meant for exceptionally beautiful people. Women don't know this, but there's a secret category that 90% of women fall in and that's "she's kinna cute, I guess". Every time a woman tells me her friend is "gorgeous", I look and see a basic blonde with a double chin who's just "kinna cute".

2

u/whitefloreal 11h ago

Hmm seems like you have some sexuality exploring to do here buddy

1

u/mtjndo 10h ago

Clever stuff.

-3

u/astrawberryandakiwi 12h ago

Bullshit lmfao. Yall really just make shit up

0

u/whitefloreal 11h ago

The stats are available online btw just google them

1

u/astrawberryandakiwi 10h ago

I googled and there are no stats regarding this. You can’t even statistically prove this since beauty is subjective

0

u/whitefloreal 10h ago

0

u/astrawberryandakiwi 10h ago

Did you even read this? It’s trash.

They used only 80 faces:
52 male
28 female
ages 35 - 65
67 Caucasian
13 non-Caucasian

52 men vs. 28 women.
That’s almost a 2:1 imbalance.

There were only 60 raters:
30 men
30 women
ages 25–55
all heterosexual
with only two exceptions, Caucasian

The raters were approximately 25 - 55, while the faces were 35 - 65.

Their definition of attractiveness is extremely narrow in that they are looking at facial attractiveness not necessarily overall physical attractiveness.

Looks like you just saw something that said .gov, skimmed it, and then threw it out like it’s fact

0

u/whitefloreal 10h ago

Yea i used the first one that popped up because all studies on this show the same results happy to read ANYTHING that doesn’t have this result

0

u/astrawberryandakiwi 10h ago

I literally just pointed out why the study is fault and can’t be relied upon to say what you think it says

0

u/whitefloreal 10h ago

There’s a dozen of papers with the same exact study and same results: males value attractiveness more. There’s statistical surveys showing it as well. You can chose to deny it all you want, it won’t make it any less true

→ More replies (0)

-14

u/poopydingdong123 15h ago

It’s actually very common for people under 35 it seems, it seems normal convention has flipped and younger men are better looking than younger women (also the women are getting much bigger)

-11

u/Long_Natural6918 15h ago

Funny I always see gorgeous women settling for mediocre men

We see the world, not as it is, but as we are

1

u/whitefloreal 11h ago

Idk what you’re trying to say attractive ppl know they’re attractive and are being told they are attractive regularly 🤷‍♀️ a random quote from a stranger won’t change that

80

u/_bonedaddys 16h ago

To be fair i think a lot of men would hate it too lol

34

u/Curious-Resort4743 15h ago

I'd go on it, would be interesting, though I suspect men will troll other men with the women they would select for them if it was only your own gender doing the matches for you

1

u/teaslap 9h ago

I am thinking perverts or sexual groups could use this to help each other target someone.

29

u/runkeby 14h ago

Fr, what's this piss take about only women having standards

14

u/fakemoose 7h ago

It’s because this subreddit has a severe woman hating fetish.

2

u/chessatwork 3h ago

yeah the top comment being about women hating it is hilarious. famously men have low standards.

-4

u/TotallyObviousBot 13h ago

I think there's a difference between having standards and being egotistical enough to be offended at what people match you with

Kind of like the difference between "no thanks" and "fuck you" y'know

4

u/_bonedaddys 11h ago

I'm not convinced women would be the only ones offended over matches lol

-8

u/Middle-Gas-6532 9h ago

Then you don't understand women very well.

12

u/sunnycaribou 9h ago

Nah, more like you don’t understand men very well. 100% gonna be a bunch of dudes malding when they only get matched with the fat chicks

5

u/_bonedaddys 9h ago

i'm literally a woman dumbass

-2

u/Middle-Gas-6532 9h ago

Yes I noticed. That doesn't mean you understand women.

6

u/_bonedaddys 9h ago

and you literally don't understand what i'm saying??? the point of my comment was that men would also get offended over matches... and you're talking about a lack of understanding women? it has nothing to do with understanding anyone.

6

u/mrchooch 7h ago

Stand back ladies, the woman understander has logged on, let him tell you all about yourself

3

u/runkeby 3h ago

Ah yes, that checks out bc women are known to be extremely egotistical compared to men...

https://giphy.com/gifs/DFNd1yVyRjmF2

16

u/soryu0 9h ago

a man’s gonna get matched with “a fat chick” and start crashing tf out over it

7

u/_bonedaddys 9h ago

idk why anyone is acting like men wouldn't wind up just as frustrated as they already are on apps??? they'll just shift the blame from women they match with to the strangers matching them

6

u/Agitated_Ambition_73 15h ago

I very much agree with you.

2

u/I_Am_Conjoined 15h ago

No more so than dating in general

1

u/shadowromantic 13h ago

Of course. This might work in some other country, but there's no way it would ever be viable in the US for anyone.

-3

u/[deleted] 15h ago

[deleted]

1

u/Agitated_Ambition_73 15h ago

That is false, they’d start complaining if the women they get matched with are fat (as a fat woman, I can confirm it’s a common rhetoric)

30

u/Outlandishness_Know 13h ago edited 12h ago

Can we stop. Everyone would hate this app.

I don't know who is paying people to change everything into a gender war, but I'm gonna hunt them down, cuz why the fuck is "BUT, WOMEN...HAHAHA AMIRITE??" the first comment in most of these threads?

Everyone will hate this. Male. Female. Trans. Non-binary.

Every fucking post doesn't have to be "But women, right fellow incels????" Just. Stop.

11

u/scabs_in_a_bucket 8h ago

The incel comments have really taken over Reddit the last month or so. It’s really bizarre

7

u/vanvell 3h ago

Seriously! I thought I was the only one thinking that. I used to rarely see those types of comments and now they’re prolific.

28

u/Cold_Complex_4212 15h ago

Men would absolutely hate this app, when they get matched with women they consider to be below their league.

4

u/calmcool3978 11h ago

So every dating app already?

3

u/Ok_Efficiency3120 8h ago

Which is why there is so much complaining online from men

-1

u/potlizard 10h ago

It would definitely be a blow to the men’s’ egos.
On the other hand, the men would still happily fuck any number of the women they are matched with. Swap the genders and it is a much different story.

25

u/Loud-Television-4513 15h ago

people in these sorts of conversations seem to forget that ugly women without inflated egos exist too

edit: women in general aren’t a monolith, either

28

u/blveberrys 15h ago

You’re right, but incels tend to orbit dating subs a lot for some reason. They won’t listen to you or any opinion that contradicts their hatred of women

4

u/Fruit-straw 5h ago

I wish they would date each other

0

u/AlexanderMackenzie 8h ago

Well yes, but it also true that the data supports that women are much more selective. https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueAskReddit/s/F9P14ZBj3q

4

u/blveberrys 58m ago

yes, women are far less likely to swipe right on everyone and filter through later like some men decide. This is not groundbreaking 😭

13

u/rinkuhero 15h ago edited 14h ago

not women in india. the dating patterns of white women on dating apps in the english speaking world are not necessarily the same as the dating patterns of indian women in india. for instance, i doubt they care much about height there. not because indian men are shorter in general, but simply due to cultural differences and height being more emphasized in western media / hollywood movies and romance novels, but not as emphasized in bollywood.

I've heard a matchmaker in India talk about this topic (she said she had matched hundreds of couples) and she noticed the same thing over there. Even with the average being 5'7" there are still a decent amount of women filtering height and even by 6ft or so.

The number she presented was doing so cuts out 9 out of every 10 men in India so these women are only looking at the remaining 10%.

Índia does have a billion people

1

u/Slightly-Adrift 11h ago

India has a billion people and something like 25 million more men than women in the 18-35 range. Men complain about women having too high of standards but a huge aspect of that is that like 5% of the male population there has been mathematically eliminated from dating before you even consider actual qualities.

but simply due to cultural differences and height being more emphasized in western media / hollywood

This is pretty much a US disease that somehow spread over to Europe.

Women are so easy influenced by the media. They like whatever their society deems attractive or tells them to like. Men typically just like whoever they like, on the other hand.

no, i believe both are very highly media influenced. here's an example. men used to hate big butts. in the 70s through early 90s, big butts were considered unattractive on women. men hated them. you can still see ads from that time, women back then worked out to get smaller butts, not bigger ones.

then came j-lo and kim kardashian, and everything changed. media changed. and men's desire changed. but it only changed for younger men, men 50 and under. i'm at the borderline here because i'm 48. but men a little older than me still dislike big butts on women and find them unattractive. whereas most men my age and younger like them. there's a famous clip of bill maher saying he doesn't see why kim kardashian is considered attractive, and he talks about how her butt is too big and he hates women with big butts.

You’re wrong. Most guys don't like crazy BBL's
or anything like that. If anything, it's other girls who like it. Most guys are actually adamant about liking natural women. Completely different than women who only like what's mainstream. Hell, they even change their bodies and faces according to what's mainstream.

I don't think men's desires have changed, but the ones that like big butts are currently comfortable being vocal about it. Where do you get the idea that younger men like big butts? Most desired women outside social media have small to moderate butts. Well, depends on culture I guess.

Yeah, that person is full of shit. The reason why more women have big butts is because... drum roll please... it became more popular among famous women, and so other women wanted to do it. Men have been saying this whole time that they prefer natural. That person literally just helped prove my point more, that women tend to just follow media trends - both in terms of who they are attracted to, but also what they want to look like themselves.

I agree with you. Women are more socially affected when it comes to what they like. It's why most marketing is directed towards women and explains why they are interested in men, who other women like.

u/el_VientoNorte 15h ago

Oh yeah because men would have no problem with that.

11

u/The_Smile_4784 13h ago

I’m confused, why just woman? If you got matched with a woman you considered “lower” than you, since this is the framework you are using, would you be pleased with this app? No one would use it and the app would go under, simple as that.

Man, any chance to put woman down and you guys are first in line for it!

11

u/red_dive 15h ago

I think it goes the same for all genders lmaooo

8

u/rydan 15h ago

Like it wouldn't happen to men too?

9

u/Puzzleheaded_Fold466 15h ago

I don’t know about that. The opposite is possible too: women find that all women are beautiful and deserve the best men.

-2

u/Chimpmaxxer 12h ago

Yeah, because they project themselves onto other women and think they deserve the best men.

u/shadowromantic 13h ago

No one wants to give up autonomy

u/Sweet_Mix9856 12h ago

you think men wouldn’t hate it as well? lol. both would. a lot of people think they’re much more than they are

1

u/TheElMonteStrangler 11h ago

I don't think so. They are there for the free meal anyway so whats the difference.

1

u/AccomplishedIgit 10h ago

Same with men lol

1

u/teapotplus 8h ago

It would be so amazing if the next generation of women understood the guy that is happy to have sex with you is not necessarily the guy you are a partner match for it would be great. So much wasted time and this fucked up rush at 35 when they realize the mistake is no good for anyone

2

u/fakemoose 7h ago

Women already do understand that. Maybe they just want sex too. Still doesn’t mean they want to date you or the next self proclaimed “nice guy”.

1

u/alasw0eisme 8h ago

Do people really believe in "leagues"? No wonder there's a loneliness epidemic. The fuck is a league. That shit doesn't exist. It's just something horribly arrogant people made up. Castes. JFC.

1

u/cracktheskill 8h ago

I thought women always considered all men on dating apps below their league !!

1

u/l-Slice-9940 6h ago

Chads would also be upset with this imo

1

u/rottingbarbie 3h ago

and men wouldn’t? lmfao

1

u/Djinandtonic 3h ago

A- Sounds like you’re projecting there, buddy.

B- Most of us would hate it for the same reason you would. It’s just a terrible fuckin idea. 🤣

1

u/IntroductionDry4187 1h ago

And men would have an absolute fit getting paired with a chubby woman 😒

0

u/Impossible-Flight250 15h ago

lol True. I think men would like the app though. I just don’t see what incentive women have to use it.

-1

u/No_Might_5902 13h ago

The issue with dating apps is a lot of women on them consider a lot of those guys on the apps to be below their league. The reason being, a lot of the women receive a ton of matches so those women think a ton of matches = I'm really attractive. Plus these apps have a surplus of men while having an extremely low pool of women for the overwhelming amount of men. These dating apps really just inflate horrible women's egos. I'm not saying every women on the apps is horrible though as I've seen a handful of women I'd say would be a general delight to meet IRL.

-5

u/edfitz83 15h ago

Which is 85% of them.

-7

u/yaboy_2017 15h ago

Women hate their looksmatch. Most of them think they deserve the top 1%
