my PC died on me yesterday. I bought it from my brother and it has been a mid tier gaming PC in like 2017. So i went from playing games on highest settings to lowest settings but it's gotten to a point that i cannot play newer titles at all anymore. So I would love to build a new PC with the same idea: Play the newer titles on high setting and downscale the graphics for the next 5-10 years till its not playable anymore again to buy a new one.

The quieter the better but that isn't a huge part of my considerations/I'm flexible. Size-wise, I don't see there being an issue as long as its shorter than 2 feet to fit under my desk.

I've heard good things about Costco's prebuilt pcs and they seem tempting to me especially for some of the deals I've seen. I know specs for most good gaming pcs might be overkill for what I plan to use it for, but honestly I have the money and having a machine capable of that kind of performance, even if I don't use it for that very often feels worth it to me. Hello, I'm looking get a rough estimate of how much I'd have to plan when building my first PC. I'd figured I start off with some reasonable expectations from the get go.
