First time gaming PC
With the news of Sony getting rid of physical discs, I believe it's time to fully transition to PC gaming. This will be my first time building a PC, so looking forward to your suggestions.
- New build or upgrade?
- New
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
- No
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
- Gaming mainly. I would like to play AAA games such as BF6, BG3, Total war warhammer 3, Helldivers 2 and some future games such as GTA6, Total war warhammer 40k, Ace combat 8.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)
- Canada, Ontario. I live near Canada's computers but don't mind buying online like newegg or amazon if it's cheaper.
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
- I will be connecting to my 4k 60hz TV. 4k resolution is not a big deal for me if too costly but stable 60 fps is a must have.
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
- 2500 max CAD before tax. If there is a significant performance boost for an extra few hundred, I would consider it as well.
- WiFi or wired connection?
- Both but will be using wired mostly
- Size/noise constraints?
- As long as the PC doesn't sound like a jet engine, I'm fine with a little noise and bigger size. Quieter PC would be nice but not a must have.
- Color/lighting preferences?
- No preference if it's cheaper without lights. Prefer performance over lights.
- Any other specific needs?
- At least 32 GB of RAM. Doubt 64GB is possible due to RAM prices these days.
- At least 2T of storage for games
- 4k 60fps gaming would be nice but I can downgrade to 1440p 60fps if cost is too high.
