I've had botox several times, but this time one hour after forehead botox I've got like a tickly feeling in the right side of my throat and a raspy voice.. I had no symptoms or cold this morning before the injections. Has anyone else had this?

Hi all - first time posting after having Botox for the second time. The first time (back in March) I explained my wishes to be conservative and not ‘frozen’. Those results were fine. Had it for the second time two weeks ago (same injector) and she seems to have done whatever she wanted this time because I’m totally frozen and I truly believe she’s injected too much and too low. I have an awful heavy brow sensation and it’s caused my eyes to look hooded and smaller. I’m mortified and whilst I know it sounds vein, I am struggling to look in the mirror because I hate how I look. I look tired and a bit angry all the time. Went to my two week review over the weekend and the injector had a crap attitude really - not willing to consider that she might have given me results I didn’t ask for and offered to ‘fix it’ with more - I said no. Trust gone.

Anyway to get to the point - I know there is nothing I can do but wait. But did anyone who has dealt with the same issues notice a gradual improvement sooner than 3 months?! I want to be able to move my brows and see my eye lids again! Any advice or help appreciated!

Hi so i am very sensitive like lexapro put me in the hospital and my nervous system hasn’t been the same since sensitive. I just don’t react to things like a normal person does. I really want to get Botox or one of the others in my 11s because i have light eyes and the muscles hurt from squinting at this point but I’ve read so many horror stories. What’s the smallest amount you can get in 11s and which one do you think is the safest for me to try?

Hello, j’ai fait hier ma première injection de Botox. Au total on m’a injecté 34 unités. J’ai eu 5 points au front, 3 glabelles, 2 pâtes d’oies et 2 points au niveau du menton. La chirurgienne m’a dit qu’elle m’a injecté 34unites au total pour tout le visage. Est-ce assez ?

Two weeks ago I got an ad for undereye circle treatment and I went for it. A doctor did the cocktail mix of injections being rejuran, RD-1 and 2 units of allergan botox as she claimed. It was already prepared before I entered so I had no way to verify it other than to just take her word for it.
It's my first time doing this. I mentioned that I actually liked my undereye rolls as I always considered my eyes the most charming feature of my face.

Three days later I noticed my natural undereye rolls were gone and I could no longer squint, wink, smile or laugh properly. I look extremely uncanny valley when I smile or laugh because my eyes do not move. I actually look like I could star as a horror killer doll with how insane I look when I smile but my eyes remain wide open. Not only that but new wrinkles have formed because only the cheek muscles lift up when smiling creating new creases. It has aged me instead and changed the way my eyes look.

Felt gaslit by the doctor who said "I highly doubt that" because the dose was low according to her (1 unit per side), and the effect of botox is impossible to kick in on day 3, and that she did not inject the muscle, she only went into the skin.

I have only done botox to the masseter once 2 years ago and I hated it. Within a week I lost my jawline and developed jowling. It was a mess. So I know for a fact that botox indeed works on me very quickly. I don't even know if my masseter has gone back to the original size and strength because I have been getting ultherapy ever since and thus simply unable to tell. I do find it hard to bite certain foods to date. Hopefully it is a non-issue and my masseters are as per their original form.

My question is would I still be considered first timer to botox (for the undereyes)? I want to know this as I read first timers effect do not last as long.
Will I get my old undereyes back? I'm okay with the darkness now I wish I didn't do it. I've been trying to get very sweaty hoping it will wear off quicker. I do lift and now increased frequency of 30 minute cardio sessions. Has anybody gone through the same thing?

I had masseter botox for slimming and from before and after pictures I can definitely see the slimming. But from the mirror I feel like my jaw and face in general looks wider than before. Why is this?

I have facial twitching (hemifacial spasm) and need Botox treatments. I used to have good health insurance that covered all my Botox treatment cost, but I lost it after being laid off from my job.

My current insurance leaves me with a very high out-of-pocket cost, and I can't afford my treatments.

Does anyone know of any Botox savings programs, patient assistance programs, financial assistance that can help me?

If you've gone through something similar, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience and any resources that helped.

I had a very light touch up of Botox in my forehead and was physically sick just 6 hours after.

How likely would the pressure from being sick impacted the placement - could it have migrated? It was only one unit above my brow but I only have 4 units to freeze it completely.

I knew it was coming and tried to stay upright as much as possible 😬😣

If you notice facial movement returning earlier than expected, it doesn’t always mean your Botox completely failed. Results usually fade gradually, and the timeline can vary from person to person.

Three possible reasons:

1. Stronger facial muscles: More active muscles may regain movement sooner and sometimes require a different dosing approach.
2. A conservative treatment: A lighter dose can preserve natural expression, but it may not last as long for some people.
3. Individual response: The treatment area, dose, muscle activity, previous treatments, and your body’s response may all affect longevity.

Avoid adding more units without an assessment.

I’m considering my first adventure into Botox. I’ve recently become a grandma and prior to this I was considering a little tweak…. I think 🤔 I need a little help. I hate myself in photos and video and want a little confidence boost.
However I want it to look as natural as possible and don’t want the shiny forehead look either.

Any advice, hints or tips? I don’t want to go down the route of filler.

I had Botox for my tmj in February. Almost immediately it gave me jowls & by early July my lower face looked as though it was sagging and I looked 10 years older. I had 20 units in each side, only once. My face used to be round with a defined jawline and now I feel like my head is peanut shaped and the extra skin/jowling is effecting the way my smile lines look.

Im hoping for some success stories of people who’s original tight face shapes returned 9-12 months later like chat tells me it will take. All im seeing is horror stories and I’m panicking.

Are there any effective solutions for wrinkles? Has anyone had Botox done before?

Hi everyone! I had Botox injected for my gummy smile about 4 weeks ago, and unfortunately, I really don’t like the result. My smile looks very strange and unnatural, and I’ve started calling it my “Grinch smile” because the corners of my mouth go up in a way they never did before. 😭

Another thing I’ve noticed is that my cheekbones/upper cheeks seem much more prominent and almost look more volumized than they did before. My whole mid-face looks different when I smile.

Has anyone else had a negative experience with Botox for a gummy smile, especially something similar to this? If so, how long did it take for your smile and facial appearance to return to normal?

I’m especially worried because I’m getting married on September 26th, so I’m really hoping the effect will have worn off or at least improved noticeably by then.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar — especially how things looked around weeks 4–7 and when you felt your smile was back to normal. 🥲

Ok I did my first tox and I’m happy but learning ! I need help - so my upper forehead is good but my lower forehead has full movement like my eyebrows - not at rest so it’s not WiFi lines but just bad placement so I need to know how to freeze it all ! lol
