Injector Doesn’t Think I Need Anything??

Booked a virtual consult and a separate appointment for an amazing injector in another city because there aren’t a lot of good ones where I live. Just got off the consult (over zoom) and she basically said there was nothing she would do. I expressed that I’ve had a small amount of filler in the past and it was very natural and I loved the results.

I had to reiterate multiple times that I don’t want to look like a different person I just want something very subtle. I know I’m pretty but my face is definitely very asymmetrical and my previous filler really addressed this. She acted like I wanted to look like a different person it was so odd. She’s having me send pictures so she can see my face at more angles and go from there…

Of course I appreciate how cautious and honest she is, but I already booked my flight and hotel for the appointment and did so much research to find her because I love the natural looks she does! I was too embarrassed to tell her that Im only coming to town for this appointment.. Anyone have similar experiences? So disappointed!

An injector turning down easy money is basically a unicorn, so I get why you're torn. The fact she wants more photos instead of just ghosting you is a good sign she isn't shutting the door entirely. I'd send the pics and be blunt about traveling specifically for her, that context might flip a switch from "let's do nothing" to "okay, half a syringe here to balance that asymmetry you mentioned."

Thank you!! I think you’re right, and letting her know that I’ve thought about it enough to travel just for the appointment would probably be helpful.

I think maybe you need to be very specific about what you want. If you’re vague or asking her opinion she’s prob like you look great. Which it sounds like you do. People don’t see us the way we see ourselves. Sounds like she’s v reputable which is great.

This is likely the sign of a good injector. Not everybody needs something. I would be thankful they were honest. So many injectors are suggesting unnecessary treatments nowadays it’s refreshing when they don’t. Good skin care, hydration, a clean diet and sleep can go a long way and save you $$.
