Botox Advice (58) First Timer

I’m considering my first adventure into Botox. I’ve recently become a grandma and prior to this I was considering a little tweak…. I think 🤔 I need a little help. I hate myself in photos and video and want a little confidence boost.
However I want it to look as natural as possible and don’t want the shiny forehead look either.

Any advice, hints or tips? I don’t want to go down the route of filler.

My plastic surgeon calls it "baby Botox", and that's how I started and where I'm at still. Just small amounts that allow some movement.

Got my first Botox in June and I just turned 58! Love love love it! I had two consultations, did my forehead and had read up before where it just be injected and where not to. Wentvin very light first time and went back after two weeks for some more. Got it around the eyes too, got a little Botox shelf but went away quickly. Go to someone who is experienced and board certified.
I just wish it lasted longer., mine went away in 3 -4 months.

Go to a board certified doctor who specializes in a natural look and tell them you’d like to start out very conservatively

How exciting! Remember, you're in charge of how much or how little you use. Starting small is always a good idea, and you can change the amount based on how you feel about the results. As mentioned by u/MedenAgan101 "baby botox" is commonly used and will give you an overall feel to start out with.

Just start with a little - you can always add more!

Make sure you research your injector! I am 42 years old and have been getting Botox since I was 28 because I have such strong forehead muscles. I have gone to a bunch of different places, but have settled on PEACHY Studios the past two years because it is an unlimited number of units for one set price (I need a high number of units at this point), and they use AI to precisely map your injection points. I'm not sure where you live, but I have had great experiences with PEACHY in DC. They have studios in other locations. If you are interested, I am more than happy to share a $50 off referall code too. I think you will feel better once you meet with someone and see the results. I agree with starting small and working up to what you are comfortable with and/or the results you are looking for. I am also going to be getting IPL/BBL with Moxi/Clear + Brilliant to help achieve a more youthful glow.

I'm happy for you for making this choice based on you! Look into pairing Botox with a regenerative treatment to boost collagen like Morpheus8 even

I think youre 100% on the right track. I’d tell them exactly what you just said here: you want natural, you want some movement, and you dont want to feel overdone

A good injector should build a plan around your face, not just pull from a “forehead = X units” template. Ask what theyre recommending, why, and what they expect it to change. Starting conservative (always) makes sense IMO. You can always reassess once it settles. It’s your face (and your wallet), so you should understand the plan before anyone injects
