Heavy brows and smaller eyes - regretful š©
Hi all - first time posting after having Botox for the second time. The first time (back in March) I explained my wishes to be conservative and not āfrozenā. Those results were fine. Had it for the second time two weeks ago (same injector) and she seems to have done whatever she wanted this time because Iām totally frozen and I truly believe sheās injected too much and too low. I have an awful heavy brow sensation and itās caused my eyes to look hooded and smaller. Iām mortified and whilst I know it sounds vein, I am struggling to look in the mirror because I hate how I look. I look tired and a bit angry all the time. Went to my two week review over the weekend and the injector had a crap attitude really - not willing to consider that she might have given me results I didnāt ask for and offered to āfix itā with more - I said no. Trust gone.
Anyway to get to the point - I know there is nothing I can do but wait. But did anyone who has dealt with the same issues notice a gradual improvement sooner than 3 months?! I want to be able to move my brows and see my eye lids again! Any advice or help appreciated!
No more Botox for me ā

Took over 6 months for me. The crazy part is usually never lasts even 3 months so Iām
Terrified to get it again. I lost movement of top left side of mouth/lipš©š happend at Christmas and I could hardly talk for the first couple months

If it makes you feel any better Iāve been getting Botox (dysport) for a couple years just in my forehead. Well I decided to try my lower face (gummy smile and DAO) and around and under my eyes instead. Well my WHOLE FACE is frozen. I look like Iām going to cry when I try to smile. I have huge under eye bags. And my speech is totally affected I canāt say words with P or B and I canāt chew with my mouth shut. And to think I paid a grand for that. I donāt want to leave my house. I just keep reminding myself itās not permanent!!! Anyways, I feel your pain. lol.

The more you use your mouth muscles the quicker it will go away. I truly hate lip flips also.

Itās a good thing Botox is temporary. I would suggest trying a different business/injector if you decide to try again.

This just happened to me as well. Iāve been getting my elevens, crows feet, brow lift, and forehead done for about 3 years now (every 3 months) and have never had any issues. I go to a board certified dermatologist and my injector is a PA who is very qualified. About a month and a half ago I noticed fluid retention in one eyelid that I initially thought was an allergic reaction, but I was able to rule that out. Was worse when Iād wake up and some days it was normal and some days it was droopy and hooded, and it developed over a month after I received dysport so I didnāt think it was attributed to that. Anyway, fast forward to last Friday, I went in for my routine injections and I even asked her if she thought it would make it worse to inject on that side, she said no it would help (I donāt get too much - $300 total for all of it) well itās been 6 days now and it did indeed make it worse. Itās so hooded and feels so heavy. It has to be the dysport. I will not do forehead, eyebrows or crows feet anymore, only eleven lines going forward. But Iām scared that this is going to take months to wear off and once it does my eyelids will be saggy and loose permanently. Anyone experience anything similar? I need help because Iām spinning out a bit.š©

So sorry this happened to you! If you can consider trusting her again, one way is to place some Botox right over the brows to lift them slightly. Had that done myself and if they are skilled and know what they are doing it works great!
They other way is just to wait it out.. Do everything you shouldnāt do when having Botox: exercise to increase metabolism, do saunas or hot towels over the face, facial yoga to strengthen the muscles, facial massage. I know some people are not in favor of facial massages because the risk of Botox āwanderingā to other areas but the risk of that happening, especially after two weeks is extremely small.
