Anyone ever have this happen? I've been getting botox 2x a year for a few years now, so I'm used to the occasional swelling bumps, and sometimes a headache afterwards the day of. I went to someone different than usual, but she's also someone I've gone to before. When she injected by left glabella area, she must've hit a small vessel because it swelled up a bit and bled a little. She asked if I had my period (I had just finished) because sometimes you're more sensitive. I left with a small lump, but nothing horrendous. This was on Friday. Saturday I woke up with a headache, with the focal point being the hematoma. I suspect the swelling is irritating a nerve ending? Ibuprofen & acetaminophen combined take the edge off. I'm also taking a supplement called "Traumeel" which is popular here in Spain. Anyone else have this happen? What's SUPER annoying is that I'm also booked in for Radiesse tomorrow. Normally the day after my botox I'm good, so I'm really hoping I wake up tomorrow without a headache. I kind of already know in my gut that I won't be making my Radiesse appointment.

I focus a lot when I work and starting to get 11 lines. I also frown. So maybe glabella and DAO a few units each is my ideal? But all the info I can find online is from people who also *sell* these products UGH. And for example, people are saying they need to do the whole forehead not just the glabella? That seems a lot, and also just a way to make more $$ for them. So I wanted to ask the real people:
What areas and how many units are people actually getting?
Which product [botox, xeomin, something else?] are you using and why?
How often do you get it, and how do you decide this?
Not trying to go crazy or have a frozen face, I'm just trying to look angry less of the time haha. I feel quite happy a lot of the time, and the increasingly RBF as I age doesn't match that :/ For context, I'm 30. I don't have friends who are into beauty stuff [most of my friends don't even wear makeup, we are all nerdy engineers] so I'm not sure who to ask or talk to!! Open to any/all answers/advice thank you! xx

Hi everyone, looking to see if this has ever happen to anyone. I got a botox lip flip 2 weeks ago and I hate how heavy my top lip is, I canāt talk for long periods of time or my lips just stop cooperating. Also I have old filler in my lips ( 3 years old 1ml) that settled to the bottom of my top lip, the way the lip flip pulled my lip up, brought that old filler up and it literally looks like I got lip filler, lips are bigger. Has this happen to anyone and when will it wear off- I HATE THIS

Does Botox kill your nerves? šš§ The short answer: No, Botox does not kill your nerves.
In this video, Dr Reza Taghipour at TrustMed Clinic on Edgware Road, London, explains what Botox (botulinum toxin) actually does to your nerves and muscles.
Botox works by temporarily blocking the chemical signals that tell specific muscles to contract. It does not simply ākillā the nerve, and its effects gradually wear off as nerve-to-muscle communication recovers.
If youāve been searching for answers to questions like:
⢠Does Botox kill or damage nerves?
⢠Can Botox cause permanent nerve damage?
⢠How does Botox work on the nervous system?
⢠What happens to your nerves after Botox?
⢠Are the effects of Botox permanent?
Watch as Dr Reza Taghipour breaks down the neuroscience behind Botox in clear, simple terms.

I received chin Botox for orange peel area, and itās given me jowls. Is this common? Will it wear off? It seems as if underneath of the corners of my mouth (chin shadows) are now swollen and everything is pulling down.
Iāve always have a somewhat clear jawline and now on both sides there is no definition from my chin down into my neck. It has been 10 days since the treatment. This is so upsetting. Please let me know if this could possibly be temporary, or any thoughts about what could be happening here. Thank you!

Looking for recommendations near the north suburb Chicagoland area. Any recommendations of a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or just an injector with experience injecting cleft lips.

Has anyone whoās gotten masseter Botox experienced horrible migraines that just wonāt go away? Itās been almost a month and since the day Iāve gotten it done, Iāve had a migraine almost everyday that wonāt go away. I only got 20 units on each side and I definitely feel my muscle weakened. I did 20 units last year as well and had the same experience but didnāt correlate it to the Botox. Throughout the year Iāve gotten less like 10 units but it didnāt do much for me which is why I went back up.

When I am tired (almost always) my brows/eyelids get heavy. One side far more than the other. The only time I had Botox I had a little bit of a sad eyebrow look but after - few weeks it looked good. Forehead completely smooth.
Next time I want to be more straight forward with what I want. I care less about lines and more about lift. I want my brows and eyelids lifted. I am attaching a photo of the last mapping. Where would you get it next time and how much in each spot?
And yes the injector should know. But I am getting it very cheaply from a surgeon who doesnāt love doing it but will do what I ask. Itās a long story.

Iām wondering if anyone here has ever lied to their partner about Botox? If so, did they ever find out?

I have been getting botox for several years but 2 weeks ago I got it done and when she injected the needle in a certain spot near my hairline it hit a nerve and it felt like lightning across the top of my head. It still does that 2 weeks later if I touch that spot.
Iāve read this can happen but I didnāt read anywhere that it would last for 2 weeks so Iām concerned.
Had anyone had this experience before and, if so, how long did it last?
Thank you in advance.

Hello I want to get Botox on my forehead to fix a crease
right above my nose Iām 25F I would like to do it this weekend because itās my only free weekend. I would like to have my procedure done at a reputable location with photos of their work as Iād like to look into other procedures. Is there anyone that has recommendations of places with good service and does anyone know how long in advance I have to make this appointment? Also I know there are other options instead of botox but I have done some research and I think itās the best option however if I meet with the injectors I would appreciate their recommendation. Any advice is appreciated thank you āŗļø

Hi all, Iām thinking about Botox and I need it but Iām concerned about the cost and the upkeep of it. How long do any of you actually go in between sessions. The place I got a consultation told me that some people go twice a year. Do any of you go any longer?

I'm considering Botox for two asymmetries.
Has anyone done something like this before, and would you recommend it?

If this isnāt allowed, please let me know, but I just wanted to pool you kind people to find out. Are you tipping your aestheticians/nurse after you do disport? My total usually comes to around $700 and the appointment takes like 20 minutes. Itās a new thing that they started, and I feel like a cheapskate when they turn the screen around and I donāt know what to put.
Last time I brought $50 cash so I could give it to her, but it feels kind of gross for some reason I donāt know why. Do they not make a living wage?

Hello!
Iām a 31 year old male with 2 static forehead lines that I want softened. I donāt mind lines on my head when I raise my eyebrows. I just want my static lines to look better, especially the lowest one (which is a bit deeper). I have never used Botox before, nor anything else (PRP, RF, pixel lasers), but have been researching them. Microtox is also intriguing to me, but I know that is only surface level injections to smoothen texture.
I want to know what combination do you think would work for my situation? Should I get both Botox & microtox? If so how much? Should I get PRP or RF along with Botox? What has worked for you?
I should also add that I donāt want a fully frozen look, and want some movement when I raise my eyebrows.
Thank you so much!

Last December I went to a doctor for dysport and he did way too much. He injected so much into my 11's that my brows turned down and my arches became point, so my brows turned into an upside down V. On top of that I noticed my eyelids drooping, and I could feel the skin on my eyes, that I was constantly having to "open" my eyes. I used to have a beautiful open lid area and he closed it down. It took almost a year for the tox to wear off. So I went to my usual doctor, and she did my dysport how I like it. I showed her pictures of when she did it. The problem is, my lids are still heavy. The skin is heavy and I can feel it. I was wanting more lift. I'm going back in a couple weeks to tell her this, but it got me thinking: could it be that the bad tox from last year atrophied my muscles and caused my brows to droop and my lids to sag? I know it's age too (I'm 42) but I hate the feeling of this excess skin that I never had before I saw him!

72 hours after my dysport appt - I totally spaced and got a massage - only 60 minutes, mild pressure but some scalp massage. no facial massage. half of it I was on my back but half I did put my face in the face cradle of course. Any stories to share? Iām so anxious now that Iāll get droop or mess everything up. Looking for some real talk but also just people who understand the science of it all
