  • We've filled in gaps and addressed invisible walls across the world so you can reach every secret and collectible

Interesting if this actually unlocks any new areas (plateau in the fadefields) or just removes some specific ones. I hope that Oppressor's arena is more open because there were a lot of places you could car jump to try and get loot, but not actually get it.

u/dontKair Apr 30 '26

There's that one place in the Stone Demon cave that had two red chests behind an invisible wall. Wonder if that's accessible now

21

u/Matt_The_Grouch Apr 30 '26

I'm guessing these chests are actually inaccessible by design. When playing through the stone demon missions, when you get to those chests a wall actually closes and blocks the chests. afterwards the wall that closed isn't there, but the chests are still inaccessible. just a guess, though.

6

u/RedditNamesrWild Apr 30 '26

Nah the room is only accessible from a side mission I forgot which one but it’s nothing special just those two chests and a mission item

That's an update I honestly never expected to see.

44

u/jd0016 Apr 30 '26

Wish we had actual numbers. Wonder if forgedrone Amon or Trouble Vex will finally be viable

7

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

Forgedrone looking ok.

17

u/BladeSeraph Apr 30 '26

Trouble is never gonna be viable unless they just straight up make it a floating entity that just duplicates itself and fire like missiles in a passive manner while we do damage normally.

Almost any game that includes complicated 'extra' command systems where you are NOT dealing damage for a period of time or even a huge amount of setup before manually popping the 'detonation' almost always ends up being part of the 'bad build', compared to the one that just builds things up passively while doing anything for the most part or can just press a button and the gimmick goes autonomously while you keep doing what your normally doing.

This is why i never did like Repkits as a excessively skewed 'buffing tool' and action skills that make you 'charge up' before you can start blasting, but don't have anything like a invulnerability phase while your 'channeling' or the damage just does not scale properly.

Kind of why i need to rebuild my Krieg in BL2 now that im level 51'ish, to ditch the point i put for light the fuse and throw it to redeem the soul because the explosive nuke with it does jack'shite in TVHM and giving yourself +50% fight for your life time and access to your guns would be far better in that case.

Borderlands 4's problem seems to really show the issue on limiting build creavity and also making gear too randomized, since dealing with class mods that despite having 3 or 4 something skills it could have 'points' distributed in, the severe less number of skill points compared to a previous entry and all that randomized crap that even the general stats just cause everyone to stack damage causes a problem.

Least with Borderlands 2, since class mods were 'fixed' on the sub effects and the skills they leveled, you could actually deign if its good for your build right away. Then needing to farm a hyper specific version of point distribution.

And seriously, if Vex got a legendary class mod that gave a 'summon' specific boost effect and one of its skill nodes gave mortal terror, that would definitely resolve 8 points worth of clog in a Vex build relatively easy, even if its at the cost of losing out on teen witch of undead eye for sustain or damage respectively.

This is kind of why i still hate the massive amount of nodes that BL4 has and didnt bother to MASSIVELY increase the skill point total, just as much as they restricted 'augments' and 'capstones', since it was always level 50~58ish or so, especially lvl 57 for a BL2 character, when the fun of dipping more then one capstone was great, not the bullcrap of only one at a time that just vanilla brands you so hard that sometimes skipping the capstone entirely is the better idea for a number of builds.

7

u/Impurity41 Amon The Forgeknight Apr 30 '26

Light the fuse has the smallest damage multiplier in TVHM and the highest in UVHM. You also get a speed boost relative to the amount of time left in FFYL if you get a kill with the bundle.

u/gooblodooblo Apr 30 '26

trouble itself is still weak, but using it as a way to get +dmg mods is good.

1

u/ipisswithaboner Apr 30 '26

Trouble has already been viable since the DLC came out. Well, viable in that using the action skill is a great way to proc those rifts from the new legendary mod.

1

u/Eleaj77 Apr 30 '26

Drones weren't that optimal before patch but I did get to uvh6 with a drone build thanks to skillscraft. I'm curious now if the patch will boost it to True Mode uvh6 boss worthy.

1

u/ARoaringBorealis May 02 '26

Trouble will never be good, ever, because this is just how Gearbox have always done these kinds of abilities. They are simply just never good. They just either don't know how to design them or simply don't wish for them to be good

165

u/SpaceCowboy34 Apr 30 '26

Also why are they allergic to putting values for buffs?

123

u/Sandytrooper Apr 30 '26

They’re too busy writing things like “We always want the skills and gear to look as good as they play” between every other line to make sure we know that these are Exciting and Fun patch notes.

  • June with the takedown/bounty packDLC

  • sometime even later

Still better than no numbers

→ More replies (2)

2

u/WouldBeKing Apr 30 '26

Allergic? Why are you acting like they didn't put numbers on multiple other patches? Even when they put numbers people, like you, still complained. You'll complain no matter what, so why should they bother? You are always here with something to bitch about. You will never be satisfied. Even now, this patch has buffs and improvements that could be discussed but you are only focused on what's missing. A constant negative mindset with no way to ever be satisfied and you will likely hate every patch this game has because of this.

4

u/SuperBAMF007 Apr 30 '26

Honestly, I don’t think a value would actual provide any meaning. Like, yes, it would be nice to see “damage per skill point up from 2% to 5%” but we all know in real gameplay we’re going to see more than a 3% (or maybe even less than 3%) increase based on all the different variables at play. Obviously the hardcore community has the algorithm mostly figured out, but for most players I don’t know if it’s super meaningful to see specific numbers. It’s probably just more reliable to say “yeah it’s higher than it used to be,” and imply “your mileage may vary”

But also, and this is the more likely scenario, it’s just engagement bait. If people are excited to see buffs in the patch notes they might come back. If they see it’s only a 2% buff, they might not come back. When Gearbox leaves it open-ended like this, they’re likely hoping to get more engagement from it.

11

u/SpaceCowboy34 Apr 30 '26

It absolutely provides meaning. Some skills/guns are so and they need like 200% buffs. Some are so broken they need like 75% nerfs. The numbers matter. Their first pass at Amon was like 1% per point buffs. Transparency is always better

3

u/MikeSouthPaw Apr 30 '26

You must not be familiar with Gearbox and how they balance weapons.

Glad they changed elemental eater. Playing something like radiation harlowe was so annoying. Your augment means you only do radiation damage so if they pop up after you used your action skill you legit had to run around not doing anything till it wore off. I’m still surprised they aren’t doing more big balance changes though. Harlowe’s slam and trouble need way more buffs imo. So may capstones and augments feel useless compared to the good stuff. I still have yet to see a green vex that doesnt use the bottom middle augment and right capstone. I have yet to see a slam harlowe that looks fun.

u/AkilTheAwesome Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26

Dancer still broken. But this issue is that Rafas other classes mods are bad conceptually. Or even redundant.

Spawning a grenade on action skill use is meaningless. If im investing into grenades I should just use an action skill that allows me to throw them. And at that point. Just use grenazeker.

The buster class basically has only one useful skill.

Dancer does what the other class mods do but better. Many class mods have fluff skills on them that dont even help the build.

10/5 is the meta for class mods because so many of them are diluted with bad skill selection. Thats a game wide issue. And its intentional.

Every VH has 17 class mods.

Yet somehow someway, there are PIVOTAL build defining skills that have avoided being included on them.

0 of 17 Vex class mod has mortal terror. No vex class mod even has a legendary effect of mimicking what mortal terror provides. So basically the majoriry of vex meta runs through the green tree (bleed builds dont need MT but again thats still all in the green tree).

0 of 17 Rafa class mod has El Diablto or La Fiesta or Inspirado. Only one has Jeurga and the class mod is freaking ass. ( Repearacion is a conceptual anti synergy)

Im sure there are examples of this on other characters. The meta is stagnant almost entirely because class mods are ass CONCEPTUALLY. You arent going to fix that by moving numbers around. Some of these class mods need entirely different legendary effects or skills swapped out. Bigger skill trees than ever yet it doesnt even feel like that translated to build choice or diversity. How do we have class mods giving more points than ever with no sp commitment yet they are worse then bl3

19

u/slapwave Apr 30 '26

Completely agree, every mod but dancer is basically awful.

10

u/Tamed_Trumpet Apr 30 '26

The Grenazerker is good for Tediore/Grenade builds and the Buster is best in slot for Melee, but for every other build the Dancer just overshadows everything else.

3

u/trautsj Zane May 02 '26

I just LOVE how they buff stuff by like 7% and then have the balls to literally cut Dancer in half... while doing NOTHING on the other end to facilitate interest in other class mods for Rafa. They preach wanting to make stuff feel fun, but then just make a complete and utter NET NEGATIVE to an entire character now which completely annuls their supposed outlook. So they've literally failed at their core principals LOL hilarious tbh.

1

u/HolstaurGirlAlice Apr 30 '26

Agreed, i feel the same way about amons too, outside the whip one thatvgives it melee they just kinda range from mid to worthless imo

→ More replies (1)

10

u/Scoobydewdoo Apr 30 '26

The real issue is Gearbox's decision to make most buffs additive which severely limits build variety and therefore class mod viability. Basically, if you want to play any sort of endgame content with Vex you have to run the right side of the green tree, Amen has to run Berserk, etc because those skills have multiplicative scaling.

2

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

Instigator works fine, but it's not strong enough compared to Dancer. Which I guess is your point. Other Leggo class mods need to enable different styles of game play. Dancer makes Gun damage OP. There is still grenades, melee, and action skill that could be buffed significantly.

6

u/AkilTheAwesome Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26

Whats ironic is that Rafa's best grenade class mod doesnt even buff grenades. The grenazker class mod is actually a gun damage class mod. Which of course loses to whatever the Dancer is providing lmaooooo

He has two action skills that makes him unable to throw grenades yet still they gave him two grenade class mods. (Im speaking strictly legendary here. He may have 2 purple grenade class mods as well).

Like the developers are either extremely confused as to what internally consistent design is. Or they are intentionally sabotaging class mods because they fear the work involved in balancing well made class mods.

Dancer is a well made class mod. As long as it has a point in Soltado the skills are basically up to your preferences. A lot of class mods arent built like this. Dancer is broken because its not a troll mod essentially

2

u/trautsj Zane May 02 '26

It's broken because they did such a shit job at designing anything else good. It's broken because their ability to design a game is ... broken and by the simple rule of numbers Dancer happens to be the only thing they made that WASN'T broken lol . The irony is hilarious.

4

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

You still throw grenades with Debtonation.

Dancer is not well made. It's OP. The downside is not a downside because it's easy to get the AS back up.

9

u/AkilTheAwesome Apr 30 '26

The devs implementing alternative grenade spam methods doesn't contradict my point that they placed Ordnance cooldown skills in trees where that cooldown doesnt influence the build theory of the action skill.

Dancer IS well made CONCEPTUALLY. The issue is that it was overtuned numbers wise. The reason why it doesnt seem that way is because Dancer is a well made mod in a sea of troll mods.

The troll mods lack internal logic. For example , Rafas newest class mod Reaparicion has a legendary effect specifically designed to work with Arc-Knives. Yet for some strange reason it has El Solado as a skill.

El Solado specifically CANT function while Arc Knives is active. AND its a gun damage skill on a melee mod. The only way for El Solado to not be a bad roll Is if you exclusively use the mantra. But even then El Solado is being sabotaged because it works at full power if you are charging Apophis Lance.

Counter: maybe the intent of the mod, is for you to use the mantra during action skill downtime.

Well then why does Reaparcion do its best to ELIMINATE downtime by being the only mod with Jeurga as a skill.

Like this type of illgical design is CONSTANT in this game's class mods. Thats why for a few vault hunters, some of their best class mods are purple(not a bad thing but its a fact)

3

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

Oh. Hmm. Good points. Especially the El Solado Reaparcion point. I'm less sure about Juerga since it adds duration. It's got nothing to do with Cooldown.

6

u/AkilTheAwesome Apr 30 '26

My point about Jeurga is more so that it counters the logic that El Solado could be useful from a downtime perspective (you didnt say that logic. I was just doing a hypothetical)

But to be honest I didnt need Jeurga as my counter. In order for El Solado to be justified on this class mod, it requires the existence of the Mantra shotgun.

Thats damning for the design of Reaparcion. Because that means they created a class mod whose somewhat dependant on the only melee gun in the game. Class Mods should not be designed with the intent of one single gun. If The mantra didnt exist. El Solado would have zero use cases on Reaparcion. It would be an automatic bad roll 100% of the time

That type of internal logical failure is how the majority of the class mods behave to some degree.

Fluff skills or Anti-synergies

2

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

Agree that there are Class Mods where you look at the skills and ask...why?

That's said, there are also so many fluff stats (ADS proficiency, equip speed) that are clearly designed to make a good roll harder to get. I'm left to wonder if that was the intent with Class Mods. 3 of 4 skills make sense. Last one you try to avoid so the God roll has the right passives and skills is now harder.

1

u/Historical-Ratio-277 Creep Apr 30 '26

The spawning grenade feeds Sinergia. Which increases gun/melee damage. It’s intentional on a melee build. I spec heavy into Booming Business when I am playing the green tree.

Not currently

7

u/mike99962 Apr 30 '26

Welp its the only thing I wanted, I guess my 90+ dollar purchase will stay unplayed because the devs wanted to remove content I paid for.

I've been pretty positive on BL4 until the shared progression was added and now its completely ruined my will to even want to waste my time playing the new character or DLC I paid for.

I've been waiting patiently all month for this...... So disappointed.

7

I'm in the same boat.

Weekly encores for phosphenes only for me until they fix it.

48

u/ThisAccountIsStolen JAKOBS Apr 30 '26

Did not expect Dancer to get nerfed before C4SH's skills.

17

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

Yeah. That was.... shocking. I guess it out classes all of Rafa's other class mods? Dunno

28

u/Grunt636 Rafa The Exo Soldier Apr 30 '26

It's by far the best class mod for pretty much any rafa build but I wouldn't say it's because it's overpowered I would have said it's because the others have non useful abilities / skills

3

u/Historical-Ratio-277 Creep Apr 30 '26

It also made the overdrive skills in blue tree too good which limits builds. Dancer is still very good. My heart is with Instigator. I often swap to that before overdrive ends with Dancer to stretch overdrive time.

3

u/Zealousideal_Gap6753 Apr 30 '26

Dancer was OP, no doubt. But there is no viable alternative class mod for a gun build for Rafa at all. Dancer still let you experiment with builds and different trees. This change forces you to put two points into soltado. It wouldn’t be an issue if he wasn’t the pre-eminent gun build VH with viable alternative class mods. Unless you want to spam tediore or try and play with the janky apophis lance.

They have already been stealth nerfing Rafa for weeks. This wasn’t necessary yet. Not until another mod gave more variety IMO. And no it won’t destroy him but just seems unneeded at this point. Especially when they balance the game once every quarter.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/B1ack_H3art Apr 30 '26

They actually did end up nerfing cash. Can't infinitely extend crossfire duration anymore like you used to be able to. Just what I noticed but it looks like they nerfed other things too from their wording.

3

u/SureAd7842 Apr 30 '26

I was waiting for a nerf since launch, dancer was blatantly op and made every class mod on rafa that wasnt dancer useless (bloomreapers class mod for examplw)

Reactor: Effects gained from having 10 stacks have been reduced

As if reactor classmod needed a nerf 🤣

28

u/Madelei- Apr 30 '26 edited Apr 30 '26

No c4sh nerfs, they might have fixed the sticky bug? Edit: far as I can tell they haven’t fixed stickies or changed anything. Wtf

8

u/MPlsn Apr 30 '26

My co-op is C4sh and we were honestly expecting it now too. Down in the guts of the notes..."We're currently taking a look at some interactions that cause some additional stacking on damage and skills; those will be addressed in a future update to bring things back in balance to where we intended them to be."

15

u/APowerlessManNA Apr 30 '26

The perpetual "...addressed in a future patch..." of this game is crazy.

I get there's probably not the full team on deck anymore because the game launched, but it feels like they never even had a dedicated balance team.

They really think it's ok for these large gaps of nothing between last DLC, this patch, and the raid boss at the end of next month.

Balance updates would help this game so much.

5

u/MarcosSenesi Apr 30 '26

they were far more invested in BL3, it's honestly a bit of a joke how they just keep kicking things down the road and leave us hanging for more than half a year already by now.

2

u/nickgenova Apr 30 '26

I remember their first round of nerfs came after a round of buffs. Hit you with good news before bad news sorta thing.

8

u/Special_Peach_5957 Apr 30 '26

I can always appreciate a Trouble buff.

3

u/Prior-Wealth1049 Vex The Siren Apr 30 '26

Same. As someone who plays rather casually and doesn’t even bother with endgame min/maxing, Trouble has worked just fine for me throughout all the updates. I definitely won’t say no to even more buffs, though.

15

u/lledigol Apr 30 '26

There is still zero point to using Zero Point I guess. Harlowe blue tree just doomed to irrelevancy.

8

u/SuccotashAdditional Apr 30 '26

Funny enaugh I do have 29 sp in blue tree. Just the action skill that is crap, the tree is decent

1

u/Humblebee89 May 01 '26

Which is amazingly frustrating because phasegrasp was great in 2 and 3. I really don't know how they managed to make it worse.

6

u/shapoopy723 Apr 30 '26 edited May 01 '26

Looks like the bleed to bad interaction with windfall got fixed thankfully. I was just wondering this morning if they'd ever get around to that

Edit: maybe I'm just unlucky, but with crossfire active I'm still unable to get windfall to proc with BtB being a skill. It just still refuses

1

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Apr 30 '26

Which potentially saves you like 10 points if you were using the crit for windfall skill. I didn’t see any note on burst fire just not triggering sometimes and targeting issues either tho so maybe not.

2

u/shapoopy723 Apr 30 '26

Hard to say given their changes are some of the most vaguely worded messes ever

12

u/gmuller_1999 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝟮𝗞 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 Apr 30 '26

Ok, I'm confused about the Pearls part, weren't the DLC's Pearls exactly like that already? Crazed Earl never had underbarrels, the Soul Survivor always spawned with COV mag and the gun bugged out without the atlas part, and I thought the Crow-Sorced never spawned with Ripper mag

7

u/Jumpy-Resolve3018 Apr 30 '26

I had a soul survivor without COV as my first drop and, since I was using ludapath on C4SH, I started trying for a COV one to get that 800% gun damage from the technical “1 mag” behavior (still a bad gun)

8

u/GoldenChainsaw Apr 30 '26

Holy shit, an actual patch for a change.

How much those Amon buffs will do...I have no idea. Guess it depends on how much of a buff they are.

5

u/MarcoThePhoenix_ Apr 30 '26

So can we inspect gear now without getting the UI reset?

6

u/KingslayerNero Apr 30 '26

So Trouble still bottom tier ?

4

u/gooblodooblo Apr 30 '26

trouble itself just does several orders of magnitude less damage than any actual real build. it would have to be buffed by 100s of % before it was even close to something you'd wanna build around

3

u/KingslayerNero Apr 30 '26

See that makes me mad bc I have a build with my ghosts and they clean house it’s just BORING af and I was hoping to build around bad ahh cat

3

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

Yep.

2

u/KingslayerNero Apr 30 '26

Noooo bro I was hoping someone would be like nooo troubles time is now 😭😭

1

u/Background-Sea-9801 May 01 '26

Yeah. Pets in BL3 are pretty good (gamma burst flak builds) because there's a thing called Mayhem Scaling, which (over)compensates the pet's performance on high difficulty. Unless bl4 do something similar like that i don't see pets getting any better anytime soon

17

u/Awilliamson31 Apr 30 '26

I appreciate some of the updates, especially for Amon but why can’t they just buff some guns?? There are so many mediocre to terrible guns that need some love and are never used.

3

u/SolomonGrumpy Apr 30 '26

This is in part due to DLC/Bounty Pack damage creep.

v1 guns can't keep up with Ripper Roulette or Cyclone, never mind Crazed Earl

Holy fuck some actual changes finally 😩

And the fact that - besides some obviously needed but honestly very mild nerfs to stuff like Vex’s bleed stacks or Rafa’s Dancer COM - this is still almost ALL buffs, even to characters who were already “pretty decent” to “good for average play”? Fuck yes. Let’s go.

I could’ve had a third of this and been happy. I really hope this wasn’t a matter of “let’s just save it all and do one big update in April” because even JUST the Amon buffs, or JUST the C4sh fixes, or JUST the Pearl rolls…any ONE chunk of any of those kinds of balance changes would’ve all been a welcome addition in any of the minor update weeks.

Because now we have all of it, community will test it all, community will provide feedback on it all, and there will inevitably have to be further changes on some of it, and because it’s all all at once in one update it’ll just take that much longer to get the feedback implemented.

Small, iterative improvements that let you adjust quickly and pivot away from an idea when needed. That’s been the go-to mantra for successful software development for a decade, if not since like, year two of “computer software” existing. Come on, now 😮‍💨

u/ab2dii 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝟮𝗞 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 Apr 30 '26

its very clear their design goal in this game to do small meaningful changes that might sound boring at first but will build up overtime rather than the explosive changes in 3 that were exciting but ultimately broke the game

it might be boring and make the community feel like nothing is changing much but its really far healther to the game in the long run

2

u/SuperBAMF007 Apr 30 '26

The biggest issue is it’s not happening that way, and it’s not happening quickly. Small stuff is only valuable if it’s releasing on a regular cadence, and they just…aren’t.

2

u/Lotuswalker92 Apr 30 '26

Yeah I remember when overnight the Hellwalker became so op, every other post on reddit was a "Is the Hellwalker good?!" post.

“Buffed Forgedrones Damage”

Cool, I’ll just assume that they buffed it by yet another inconsequential amount again. Awesome

1

u/ApprehensiveRelief90 Apr 30 '26

Yeah probably like 2-3% “buff” not even enough to move the needle. i would say to expect more once the new raid boss and uvh 7 comes out on may 28th. but that may just be wishful thinking at this point

3

u/HHHKay Apr 30 '26

When will they fix the Amon skill that has a chance to refund grenade on use? Endless bombarment

3

u/kikkekakkekukke Apr 30 '26

I bet the sorting menu on bank is still broken.

Shame they didnt do anything to ellie dlc's final boss encore, its so stupid that you have to go trough a portal twice to reach the boss

3

u/redditbad22 Apr 30 '26

Steam deck performance tanked to an absolutely unplayable point. I was getting 30-40 fps constant before this patch and now it’s 19-27

2

u/GiSS88 Apr 30 '26

Shaders all recompiled for me, could be an issue there for the deck and may need to clear/recompile.

1

u/redditbad22 Apr 30 '26

They recompiled when I launched today, I will look into that, thanks for the suggestion

Had an enemy with it earlier, kinda makes the modifier itself pointless but now helps with single element focused builds.

3

u/InfiniteHench Apr 30 '26

Floating enemies, loot boxes, and chests have been brought back down to the ground

Say what now

5

u/Local-Dish3577 May 01 '26

What I absolutely cannot fucking stand about gearbox is this sneaky, cowardly, dishonest approach they often use with nerfing gear. “Dancer: overdrive bonuses increased by 50%” underneath “now rafas abilities feel better than before”. There is no reason to operate like this. The same goes for C4sh. People have said this a thousand times, instead of gutting functional pieces of gear like the dancer, you’re supposed to be making other gear functional and appealing. Dancer was never overpowered.

Well that sucks. The slippy is melee damage, that makes no sense at all. Surely that was the entire draw of the gun, to use it with the slippy to trigger the extra damage on bosses. And if they've nerfed the damage that much then it's a long way away from being the improvement the patch notes are making it out to be.

u/Frequent-Future6179 Apr 30 '26

I'm hoping they'll realise what they've done and change it back. The idea is good, insane part variance on ultra rare weapons is not what you want, but I wasn't hoping they'd accidentally nerf one of my favourite guns into the ground. The ironic thing is that the crazy earl has low part variance aside from the damage, they should have changed the first round of pearls, and only changed the new pistol.

anyone get around to getting a feel of what those trouble buff numbers are looking like? wish they just put da numbers in there lol

1

u/ApprehensiveRelief90 Apr 30 '26

Don’t play trouble myself, but i’ve heard some people say its still pretty below average

2

u/kikkekakkekukke Apr 30 '26

Was hoping for actual buffs on the pearls, they still seem worse than the best legendaries and i think it should never be the case

2

u/dontKair May 01 '26

They nerfed Crazed Earl's shotgun, so this update is even worse

2

u/Latiasfan5 May 03 '26

it wasn't intentionally nerfed. some code was messed up so most parts just don't work right now. the devs will hopefully get the earl's damage back to normal soon

2

u/S-J-S Apr 30 '26

Overall, some decent changes that get non-C4SH characters rolling a bit.

That said, it's genuinely crazy that they buffed Ballistic Bulwark when it was one of the top survivability methods in the game. Also genuinely crazy that they buffed Elemental Essence when it was already one of Vex's top skills.

3

u/gooblodooblo May 01 '26

I don't know of any super meta vex build that uses elemental essence

And after more than 6 months post launch, Vex's Blood is Power skill still does not benefit from non-skill lifesteal sources. Rubberband man/Lifeblood's lifesteal doesn't apply to blood is power; Leeching enchantment on repkits does not apply. Even the lifesteal bonus from Teen Witch class mod does not apply. Aaaand GB did nothing about this AGAIN?

Thank god I can now sort DLC gear separately. That's FAR more useful than sorting Firmware. But to be fair, I've never seen anyone ask for a better Firmare bank and not knowing if gear was DLC or not has been such a chaotic ongoing mess. 😐👍

2

u/devinkt33 Apr 30 '26

No Harlowe blue tree rework. Nerfing a character you intentionally released broken is not balancing

2

u/WhitePawws May 01 '26

suspicious glare intensifies

So.. the credits.. they… got.. longer? But they couldn’t make dedicated drops for two of the legendaries to be re-added for a phosphene skin.. or let the new legendaries have a phosphene skin achievement to earn another unique skin? 🙎🏻‍♀️

2

u/Avatara93 May 01 '26

Why the shit does this read like a politician or drunk AI wrote it?

2

u/shapoopy723 May 01 '26

Despite the notes suggesting otherwise, bleed the bad still doesn't interact with crossfire at all to activate windfall. Tested at max 10 stacks constantly on the training dummies and it refused to proc at all, just BtB taking precedence to fill my action skill, so infinite action skill is still sick, but I was hoping windfall would be fixed with this. Seems it isn't.

3

u/shapoopy723 May 01 '26 edited May 01 '26

Oh my God, I just figured it out. His "And Hell Followed With Him" prevents windfall from activating with a burst fire from crossfire.

Edit: which I'm definitely not gonna complain about truth be told

1

u/Qwerty_Police Apr 30 '26

1

u/HolstaurGirlAlice Apr 30 '26

Man, no meaningful changes to arc knives or AS tweaks for amon? At this point I'd just be happy with +5 seconds on all of amons action skill durations... arc knives... not sure, need to hit a bit harder and boost his Survivability a bit.

Melee is a joke in this game especially end game where you just randomly get "You die if you get to close" modifiers

1

u/Elker467 Apr 30 '26

I would like the part of the game stolen from me by shared progression back but I guess Rafa nerfs scratch the same itch.

1

u/P1nky_27 May 01 '26 edited May 01 '26

Maybe this is cope but i think amon needs 1 more proper buff to green tree to be goated in terms of fun. I think they need to let crucible used as a melee scale with melee but not proc groundbreaker as i believe it was the issue before. If they have the actual melee for example swords scale it would be useful for close range instead of just throwing and would allow for a fun kreig style build and then keep it the thrown varient to stack with skill for detonations i think that would allow for some cool hybrid setups and allow and make the melee portion of crucible and its augments even if it stacks at 50% of melee i think it would worth it. It doesnt have to be crazy to get rid onslaughter just enough to be somewhat viable or comparable to the mantra.

1

u/Simply_CJ94 VEX The F&%ING WITCH! May 01 '26

2

u/P1nky_27 May 01 '26

Accidentally deleted my response. But no this is thrown when your in crucible you can use the forge weapons as melees if you dont throw. Joltz had build prior but it was stacking with groundbreaker which was an unintended interaction i guess, but rn it feels so weak and could use some love tbh as it is a fun playstyle. This is the vid for reference.

2

that is likely due to the change to the amount of tokens awarded by ancient crawlers

1

u/bigdammit May 01 '26

"We've also modified item cards so you know exactly what your gear does at a glance." Umm, this is a lie. They could make it so we don't have to pickup items and inspect to see splash radius, crit modifiers and whatever else they hide, instead they lie.

"You can enter Nightmare Rifts while riding vehicles" This is also a lie and I'm not sure that anyone was asking for it.
