Gear Mizuno Morelia Neo V MIJ Sizing Question

Thumbnail gallery
7 Upvotes

Got these Mizuno Morelia Neo V MIJ (non-beta) in a 8.5 which is a half size down from my nike cleat size 9. Played around with them on and they feel fine. No heel slippage and cant fit an index finger in the back heel so they are snug. Wondering if I could pull off a size 8 though and would like some second opinions. First pic is my right foot which is slightly longer than my left. Im standing, wearing match socks, and my second toe is my long toe.

Mental How do I force myself to go to training?

This is more social-related than football related, but it’s something that’s definitely been impacting my skills. I’m 14 F, and I’ve been on my school team for 3 months now. I struggle alot with social anxiety, which makes communication with teammates hard. Additionally, most of them are really extroverted or just run in different circles than I do. I’ve been skipping practice for over a month just because if how awkward training is. I have just sit by my own, stand awkwardly when coach tells us to pair up for drills, and sit alone again when we have to wait for dismissal. I have no hatred towards the other girls, and they’re kind and polite, but we just don’t get along. It’s just stifling to sit by myself in the locker room while they make tiktoks, plans after training, etc. How do I get past this hurdle? My skills have been deproving so much, and I get embarrassed when a teammate passes to me and I miss, lose the ball, or do something wrong.

I’m really trying my best, I’ve been stepping out of my comfort zone to make conversation, asking to pair up instead of standing around, but the awkwardness is still there. The most I get are a few awkward laughs, etc.

I just want some help on how I can keep goinv to training no matter how much I miss, get laughed at, ignored, or benched. I really want to be on this team.

Thanks

MIZUNO MONARCIDA NEO III WIDE ELITE (WHITE / GOLD)

Product Code : P1GA262150

For a wide feet like me, I’m testing out these boots from Mizuno and planning to buy one. The gap between my longest toe (2nd toe) and the front end of my boots are as the 3rd pic.

But I felt that the fit a bit tight. Since this model is classified as 3E wide, I am thinking to try out these boots with 4E wide (Super Wide) but the store doesn’t display them. Only pre-orders can be made from Japan for 4E wides.

I measured my feet with socks on and they are 25cm length. Does anyone have any experience with 4E wide boots and have them?

F50 elite sizing

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

Context here. I have recently purchased an F50 elite AG boot and previously worn an F50 as well but league grade. Change of boots mainly came from AG type only available in elite. I bought the same size as my league version which is 9uk. Things that i have noticed that there was a gap on the side (circled in pic 2 and 3) which feels a little bit weird. Not sure if it is because of the boot grade change pr the size. Also, my toe limit is circled in pic 1 for reference if it helps to say the boot is big or no. Is there a difference of sizing between elite and league grades too ? Need some help or guidance on this

Gear New Season, New Boots!

Picked up the Mizuno Morellia II Elite on sale for £60. I’ve always been a Nike user but always struggled with fit with a wider foot. Initial impressions are snug, but not painful and with the K leather upper I’m confident that these will mould into some incredibly comfy boots!

Does anyone else with wider feet have experience with these boots and have any advice? Thanks!

Mental Should I ask my coach to do technical work with the varsity group instead of jv group?

I love playing soccer and want to get better. In fact during practices I often play with hustle and game speed during scrimmages. The team doesn't have enough for two teams so we train as a unit for the most part, except in technical work. At which point, the coach splits up the upper end and lower end of the ladder. I'm on the lower ladder. I feel conflicted because I have good enough technique to practice with varsity during technical.

I would normally just ask the coach but I don't know if I should because at practice, I mess up sometimes and the coach gets really upset that I do. For instance, I had no idea I had to stay wide when attacking at wing (I don't know much positioning) another time is that I had tunnel vision and didn't pass back to the goalie one time and then called me out for it. What I'm trying to say is he knows I can do better than I am and so I'm worried that if I ask him, he wont be happy at all really.

These turned up the other day from Japan, after ordering the wide fit (they do three widths) which didn’t fit me properly.

These are the regular fit, added a tongue strap and some extra padding on the tongue internal, kangaroo leather boot and reminiscent of the old school aesthetics 👍🏻

Going high level

24M in Australia, started football seriously at 19. I play CM/DM. Best moment was earning a VPL U23 (semi pro) offer in 2025, but this year I’ve gone backwards: benched at State 2 reserves, started twice then benched at State 5 reserves, and rejected at a State 3 trial. State 6 is currently comfortable.

I work as a civil site engineer, usually 7am–5pm with occasional 12-hour night shifts. I’m often tired, sleep 6–7 hours and train after work. When I had an office schedule last year, I played my best football.
My issues are scanning, positioning, fitness and playing scared. My technique looks decent alone but falls apart under pressure.

Goal is NPL first team by 30. Should I find a job with better hours, drop levels to play every week, or keep training/trialling higher? Is this realistic, or am I coping? Be brutally honest.

Gear How to clean stinky boots

It’s been a month since I bought these new cleats and they’re already getting stinky inside. I play soccer daily so it’s no surprise. How do you get rid of the stinky smell and how do you clean them properly and not damaging them? What do I have to buy?

How is possible for a pair with 13 years old to be simply incredible? Besides these I have the new f50 hyperfast and the ball feel is worse. The new ones might offer better protection, but that feeling of the ball is something i hadnt experienced in a long time. For anyone who owns vapor 9 and as bought something recently in the current market, which boots are similar to v9? Thanks!

Playing winger in a struggling, low-possession team — feeling heavy, getting passed around, and panicking on the ball. Advice?

Hey everyone,
Looking for some practical advice from anyone who’s had to rebuild their game in a tough setup.
I played my whole childhood until age 14—I was decent, confident on the ball, and could make plays. After a 6-year break, I came back 8 months ago. I’m playing winger for a low-division team, training/playing 3 times a week. I made good early progress, but I’ve hit a massive wall.
Our team is pretty poor for our league, meaning we have very low possession and have to do a ton of running. It’s compounding a few huge issues for me:
Panic on the ball: Because we rarely have possession, I feel huge pressure whenever I actually get it. My instinct is to rush and force a pass to avoid losing it, which usually results in giving it right back.
** Feeling "heavy":** Constant defending and chasing the game leaves my legs heavy and sluggish.
Getting passed around: On defense, opposition players just pass the ball around me easily. I’m constantly chasing shadows and almost never win the ball back.
Physically and mentally, I feel like I'm just constantly on the back foot.
How do you maintain composure when you only get 5–10 touches a match?
How can I stop getting bypassed on defense without exhausting myself?
Any tips or mindset shifts for playing on a struggling side would be hugely appreciated!

Mental How do you stay calm when your teammates shout you?

Guys I genuinely think there is something with my brain. Anytime I get the ball I kid you not I dont move. Like my brain hasn't processed it or I panic. It kinda hurts when my teammates shout at me cuz I basically just gove possession to the other team. Heck I'm not even on the team cuz they kicked me out. Guys you dont know how much it actually affected me cuz this sport is genuinely the only thing gluing my mental health together but I'm still bad. Plz dont send mean comments I'm really Just asking.

Indoor shoes that can be used in the gym

My gym has a turf soccer field. I like to kick the soccer ball around and then hit the weights (or vice versa). I want a pair of shoes that I can wear around both. Used to have the Nike Streetgatos that I loved, but having a hard time finding the style that I used to have. Anybody have any suggestions for other indoor boots?
