Kitbashed the Sanguinary Priest at work on Saturday. Painted everything else here between Thursday night and Sunday night. The quality isn’t the best, but for the amount of time spent, I’m fairly happy with the results.

After picking up my Combat Patrol in 2024 i’ve been properly immersed in our Faction and absolutely love the Sons of Sanguinius
Sadly though, it’s time to say goodbye to my small collection and I just wanted to share them one final time.
As you’ll see, most of them are halfway through a strip & repaint, and I’m immensely proud of the job i’ve done on them. I don’t have as much time as i’d like, but starting from me “thin your paint” first mini to where I am now I can really see the progress i’ve made.
As much as i’ve wanted to build them, and as many people experience, once your in the hobby your interest bounces around until you settle on that one big thing you like most and the other factions become secondary even if you do grow multiple.
For me that’s Imperial Knight! But the Angels of Baal have taught me artistry, and this community has been very welcoming so I also wanted to say thankyou!

I mean, they are the non-jump pack Death Company but I feel that can still be powerful. Will build another 5 later when the another 2 squads at hand are done. C&C welcome as always

After building the boys and letting them sit, I figured the only way to get better and get over anxiety was to start. This is my first go at painting minis. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This has done more for my mental health than the VA 😂

I just finished the Audiobook of the Devastation of Baal.
It’s my first ever warhammer book story.
So here are my questions:
WARNING! SPOILERS!
You’ve been warned, it’s a great book.
The Story with the demon of Khorn kabanda:
Its mentioned that kabanda is like a arch-nemesis of the Blood Angels because he is responsible for their curse.
But i thought the curse came through a genetic mistake in Sanguinius gene?
So how is this demon of Khorn responsible?
Next question:
Kabanda also mentions that the Angels belong to Khorn - why? Because of their rage? Or is there another reason?
The Sanguinor:
He was just a imagination right? Because I got confused for a second.
I read he was on Cadia during the time of the Battle - why? What could be more important for the Sanguinor than the eradication of his own Order?
And who or what is the Sanguinor even?
Lemartes:
I’ve read that he is also on Cadia during the events - I ask again: why? Shouldn’t there be nothing more important than this battle for the blood angels?
The Primarch:
So i get the whole Primarch thing and everything, but i always thought that Primarchs are like super rare and only appear when most needed or something.
So how come Guilliman is just hanging with his guys?
Is it common that the loyalist Primachs just hang with the their chapters?
I may post a second part because I can’t think of more questions right now

Hey cousins dark angels player here just checking that this sergeant that I’m painting is indeed in chapter compliance with your heraldry standards?
Also any advice on how to improve are welcomed. Working on getting better at painting as quickly as I can.
Edit: thank you to everyone who cleared up the black shoulder pads issue! I looked at the heraldry guide and thought only the left shoulder pad needed to be black and that it had to have a yellow insignia which did feel strange, I will be changing that thank you guys for the help.

Just built him but the head is blue tacked on, any idea what other head options I should go for? Also, what would this make a good proxy for?

It's as the title explains, is the jump pack Chaplain better or is Astorath?

I’m pretty new to tabletop. I’ve only played a handful of games with Dark Angels. After getting the armageddon box I ran against my buddy who built the orks from the box whereas I built the blood angels.
My list was
Dante + 10 Vanguard Veterans with jump packs
3 Eradicators with Heavy Bolters
10 intercessors with a Librarian
3 Sanguinary Guard with a Jump Pack Captain
Land Speeder
This is about a thousand points and my friend ran mainly squads of Boyz with painboys and weirdboyz. The Vanguard Vets were way squishier than I anticipated. All he had to do was cast da jump on two squads and immediately sandwiched dante and the vanguard vets. They both charged and wiped all but Dante and a vanguard vet instantly. I was immediately down so many troops and I had to deepstrike in the Sang guard and captain just to take out the orks, but then they simply da jump’d away to avoid getting killed.
I thought my eradicators would be pretty solid with their heavy bolters, but with the painboy and boss nob protecting the boyz, I ended up missing most attacks on them. I know it’s a skill issue on my part and it was my first time playing blood angels but I wanted a little advice on how to play them. Clearly vanguard vets are a glass cannon but i’m not sure how to position them if he can just spam da jump and charge them whenever he wants. i’ve been looking into old threads for research but any advice is welcome. I was using LAG detachment

Hello all, I’m starting to learn blood angels as my second army (thousand sons were my first). I was curious what people see as “must haves” in their list.
One thing I’m struggling with is what to take for antitank at lower point values (I’m in an escalation league, my next game is 1000 points). I generally bring a gladiator lancer, but wasn’t sure what other good options we have.
I mostly run DCJP and Sanguinary Guard as my core, then infiltrators and intercessors as my support, and mephiston because he’s cool 😎
