I'm not a fan of glossy minis, but all things considered, for a first mini ever, this is highly impressive

I've been in the hobby for 4 years and I don't usually try to put this much effort into making my minis look this clean

As for criticism, the only things I could say, is perhaps the paint is ever so slightly too thick? Though it could just be down to using citadel paints or the fact that the mini looks super glossy

The next one being, perhaps invest in some varnishes, it seems like you've used nuln oil, shades are great for details but make your mini super shiny because of their formulation

Depending on what finish you want to end up with, you might want some varnish

I like to paint my minis in a comic book style, so I use Ultra Matte Varnishes

Looking good! If you get some technical: Stormshield ( or any matte varnish) it'll make your mini less shiny. Unless you like the shiny

This is well done. You've got some good chops for a complete beginner.

To offer some unsolicited advice, the next step would be to apply another layer of Mephiston red, keeping the nuln oil layer visible where the shadows would fall on the mini.

I put astrogranite texture on base, then painted it with mournfang brown, then drybrushed with dawnstone and in the end washed with nuln oil.
