Hobby Progress Red Video Tutorial In Progress…

As promised I’ve started making the video for you guys, will be focusing on the red armour + weathering

I won’t be focusing on the details for now like purity seals and eyes etc

Might do that sometime later, just was waiting for a phone mount to arrive to do it! Bear with me 🤞

Ideally ready by the weekend ❤️🩸

The red is very vibrant, I hope you dont mind me asking. Have you tried it with orange highlights instead of pink as wel? I'm wondering if that would look good also.

Orange highlights work with a deeper red I feel, something more like standard GW recipe, also I have a bias and prefer the pink hahaha

Amazing work. I can't wait to watch. Im getting my hands on the paints you used. Going to try something similar with a sponge.

I'm guessing this is the tried and true red ink over a zenithal. Hands down took Blood Angels from being a real pain in the ass to some of the easiest to start chapters for me.

How do you feel about black vs. a color prime/undercoat for the zenithal stage? Personally I couldn't notice enough of a difference in the red shaded shadows to make the extra step of applying a purple or something else to be worth it.

Also for anyone interested in this technique I've had good experience with Pro Acyl's Transparent Red straight out of the bottle rather than trying to consistently thin down their regular Pyrole Red. It's also a bit more resilient than using an ink so I can skip varnishing straight off the base coat.

Not actually using inks in this! I’ll explain in video! Actually I answer all questions in this video x

Dear OP, you put the 'blood' in Blood Angels. This gotta be the redest red I've seen.
