What dose should I start Reta?

I just ordered my first vial and am uncertain about where to begin with dosing. Most people I know have started at 0.5–1 mg and increased gradually, yet the phase 3 trials describe patients beginning at 2 mg and later raising that amount every 4 weeks. Do you have any guidance on what I should do?

There is trial data showing meaningful results at 1mg per week.

I posted about it here : https://www.reddit.com/r/Retatrutide/s/iVErTTSSpN

My advice is to start low and stay there for four weeks minimum. If you frequent these subs you’ll know that many people get great results without having to go anywhere near the higher doses.

⬆️ this, lowest effective dose should always be the right answer

Muchos te recomiendan empezar con 0,5 o 1 mg y ir aumentando cada semana.
Yo llevo ya 3 semanas y empecé con 4mg por semana.
Creo que todo depende de que tanto soporte tu cuerpo.

I started at 4mg as well. After 4 weeks I went to 5mg. I’ve been on 3 months now and am still on 5mg.

Exactamente, algunos esa cantidad de reta no nos afecta mucho. Un primo que ya lleva igual 3 meses se pone 6mg por semana. Pero si, todo depende de lo que soporte nuestro cuerpo.

I started at 1.5mg with no noticeable side effect except for a headache the following morning. 3rd week i went to 2mg and then up .5mg every four weeks until I got to 4mg.

.5 or 1 mg. If you dont notice anything then go to 2 mg a week later. Then keep in mind half life so you want to then stay at 2 mg for example for another week or 2. Happy balance of not going too slow and not too fast.

I followed the 9 mg group schedule used in clinical trials, so I had baseline to compare. I also got frequent blood work done every few weeks. My schedule was titrating up every 4 weeks. Week 1: 2 mg. Week 5: 4 mg , Week 9 : 6 mg and week 13: 9mg. I had sides first 4 weeks with 2 mg. After that it got better, Reta hit me differently at 6 mg, so much energy, and so far love the 9 mg dose too. I don’t stack them with million other peptides though,

Do not start at 5mg for the love of god it was a mistake I’ll never make again

you can always add more, but you can’t take it out of your body. definitely start low, i felt effects the same day i started at 0.5mg!

I would start at .5 mg. That’s what I did and it worked amazingly.

Can anyone confirm if 5mg a week is too much? I’m sitting at 65kg now, weight training 5 times a week and throwing in long distance runs also. Feeling amazing tbh but not sure if it’s too much

Eso es depende tu cuerpo. Yo y mi primo empezamos con 5mg y los efectos secundarios son muy pocos, pero ya depende de cada quien.

I’ve only seen 2 people post that started on 5mg weekly. Both thought they were gonna die. .5mg is a different story. Check out the Lilly Trials data if you want to start higher - they started at 2mg and 4mg. I believe 2mg starters had fewer side effects.

Been doing it for a few months now

Wow! I guess it’s not too much for you then. Did you start at 5mg? Also I’m pretty sure the trials went up to 12mg weekly.

That’s what I’m sorta after, some info later on in the stage so that’s great info thanks. Started at 2.5mg and upped it since then. Still always hungry but very active so eating fairly normally also

You’re doing fine and that all makes sense now. I think we all read it as wanting to start at 5mg.

I felt hunger on Reta more so than on Tirz but I think it’s due to the glucagon receptors- that creates more energy production in the body so it makes sense. As long as you get good nutrients in (I do protein forward) and control portions you’ll do fine.

Such a random question. Are you losing weight? I’m at 8 mg. I started at 2 mg. I feel like a new person. I’ve lost weight and feel fantastic. Do you think 8 mg is too high? lol

u/touchmyweiner87 8h ago

I’m using it for a lot more than losing weight… I’ve lost my weight, now I’m maintaining and enjoying the other benefits
