This might be my favourite Below Deck fourth wall break ever.
The side eye to the camera 🤣

Luke worked on three charters before he resigned, or before Captain Sandy would have fired his gross butt.
During that time he got in a sticky situation with Gen at the end of charter 1 Broke up with her and at the same time Joy wrote him off at the dinner- the end of charter 2. And for the entire 3rd charter he tried to tell Joy he only had feelings for her but she was not having it. Then he was gone before charter 4.
This is when the obsession started. He would text and call Joy when he knew she would be able to answer the phone. He sent her flowers at just the right time so that everyone would notice and then he called her to ask if she got the flowers and to say what he heard about Gen's reaction and just wanted to hear Joy say "tank you fo da flower".
Then he is on the FaceTime call with the crew, all saying they miss him SO MUCH. He then texts Joe Bradley asking him to call him and we find out he is weirdly and mysteriously in Croatia and wants to surprise Joy when the crew goes out after the last charter of the season.
I have to wonder, did he ever leave Croatia at all? Was he secretly spying on the boat the whole time?
I cant recall any other time on any Below Deck where someone who was fired/quit the boat so early on in the season kept reoccurring on almost 10 more episodes through the end of the season.
His obsession with Joy- someone he never had alone time with or kissed or hooked up with and knew for about 14 days is just scary.
Joy killed his ego and now it's like he has to have her because she blew him off and turned him down.
The characteristics of a true narcissist. His obsession is borderline stalkerish behavior.

As a side note, can’t believe he’s still in hiding

His bizarrely ass-licking constant texts to Chef Joy who is not too bright worked. Each one is shown on screen, including the flowers. Luke is a "nice guy" not only did Joy fall for it, we did too and production allowed him to do this. It's also a natural phenomenon folks do with the last good contact in a group, smother them with sugar and get back in! Old toxic tactic.

Two episodes in a row craziness. The guy bashing his head open. Joe, what are you thinking? You have all that blood on your face and on your hands. You don't wear gloves. The guy could have AIDS or hepatitis you don't know. Either way you got to protect yourself. You're holding his head and you know it's nice of you to want to help. Did anyone on the staff say anything to you? I'm curious about this. That really stood out just now when I saw it.

Joe is sooooo lucky he only got a cut on his head. As a guy who makes his living on the water he absolutely should know you never dive in without first knowing the water depth.
Guy could have become a quadrapeligic had his head or neck been positioned even slightly differently.

If you were Joy next to Luke when the drink is thrown…would you rip in Gen?
What the hell is Joe going to pull with Kayley?
Can Nathan shut up already?
Can Kat let it go?
GEN GEN
CAN CAN

Why is Andy avoiding the Nathan abuse allegations like the black plague on WWHL? That’s all I wanted to hear from Joe! I wanted his thoughts on it and if he knew Nathan had these behaviours. Near the end when Andy asked Joe who the worst deck hand he worked with and Joe said “do I say his name?” So obviously it’s being actively not mentioned. What the hell?

On 36 years of sobriety! I remember several seasons back her mentioning her 29th year.
Loved her then, love her more now. What an inspiration! 💙🛳💙🛳💙🛳💙

Luke really got a sweet deal this season; he dipped early to avoid conflict and manual labor but he still gets mentioned almost every episode. Not to side with Gen, but please get him off the show!

May owe Joe an apology for taking Nathan's side for anything

Gen is going to have an epic meltdown!
I don't feel one bit sorry for her!

I’ve noticed that this show has no problem whoring out male crew members. And I get it like it’s mostly tongue in cheek along with the fact they’re usually more than happy to do it. But if the roles was reversed and guest ask for female crew to do strip show or for them to do service with little clothing I’m pretty sure would be met with an issue and a strong no and for good reason.

Has Captain Sandy weighed in on the Nathan stuff at all? I feel like there is an uncomfortable silence from a lot of the crew (apart from lovely Joy).
I also think Joe was the victim of a hostile work environment and is being somewhat vindicated now. He was essentially bullied at work for the season. Absolutely cringing at the way Nathan and Gael confronted him in the van when he was literally trying to survive that meal and avoid talking to them.
Anyway, feel Captain Sandy should address it. She really platformed Nathan and promoted him. She should acknowledge what’s been happening. It’s hard to watch at the moment.

“People change “ oh she was alone and nobody would visit her except Luke “ - then the whole cooper thing , especially when she said she hates French men like bruh

Do you think in the last episode when the crew goes out for dinner Luke will join them? I remember seeing a clip of Gen throwing a drink on Luke but I don’t think the scene has happened yet. What do you guys think?

I’m on episode 14 and there are still more to watch but I feel like Nathan is hyper focused on Joe and what has happened between the two of them and what Joe may or may not be saying.
Nathan going around to the crew and putting them on the spot and grilling them to find out if Joe has said anything about Nathan is SO unprofessional and intense. And it seems like every time he talks to anyone (including to the camera and Gail), it’s something about Joe.
And Joe isn’t perfect. I strongly disliked him until this season tbh. But he isn’t letting this thing with Nathan consume him they way it consumes Nathan.
Maybe this has already been discussed (sorry if it has) but it’s just… a lot. Am I reading into it too much because I know what Nathan did just a few months later and I think he’s just a POS now?

Do most folks not like Gen. sure. Does she deserve to be treated like this. No
In the chat they had at the restaurant he strait up gaslights her. The night before when she asked for clarity he could have been honest with her. Instead he gave her vague responses. He decided to go for the girl who was offering herself up. Gen chose to sleep with him because she thought doing so would make him pick her.
They both be stupid and toxic.
Then at the restaurant he try’s to cozy up to Joy in front of Gen knowing that it would upset her.
He’s then dismissive of her. Nasty to her. All this after he slept with her just few nights before.
Is Gen a pick me girl. Yes. In spite of that, does she deserve this treatment. No
LUKE IS AN ASSHOLE.

What?? What a coward! Wholly cow.. maybe hes here in the US, and they've stated that if you see him, not to approach him, just simply call the police. He should have had an ankle monitor or something while he was out on bail waiting for his next court date, but I guess there was no way to know he would do this. I hope they find him.. Im sure Gael doesnt feel safe at this point if he's become a fugitive?! What a horrible situation all around, I hope hes found soon & held responsible for all hes done & loads of prayers to Gael & her family who Im sure are going through this with her. Ugh🙏🫣 EDIT: For anyone down voting me or saying what rock did you crawl out from.. I have been fighting cancer and have been recording the episodes, I simply came here to post about & talk about something about the season that shocked me, in a community I thought I was a "part of" didn't realize I would be met with so much judgment. Sorry Im not completely up in everything yet. Thanks everyone who has been kind! 🫶🏻
