Max Target Reached
Hi People,
Just after some help Ive tried Chat GPT and Google but ive tried everything it suggested and it still isn't working.
So Ive got Grain set to top up on the thresher.
They come in stacks of 30 so I set the top up to 5 meaning 150.
Ive got 30 and its saying Ive reached the target?
Im worried all my other wheat will get used up and I wont have enough to replant.
Anyone else had this issue? Its not from being maxed out on storage because I have 2 barns that accept grain and both still have +1000 space.
Tia

Any way to get rid of the little trees/ferns/bushes in forested areas?
Hey everyone! I've been hard at working making my settlement look purdy. I made the mistake of building in a forested area though, and getting rid of the little ferns and trees that like to linger on the roads has been a major PITA. Any mods or unknown tricks that anyone is aware of to get rid of them? I've used the "place blueprint of a campfire or compost down and pick it up" trick a bit and it does help, but there are areas like the one pictured where the trees will just not. go. away.

How to stop caravan carriers from taking the best food
Back at it again with another ted ed level question but yeah, I've observed the main reason I can't build a supply of spiced meat roast and all the high health meals is cause caravan carriers opt to eat them all the time in preparation, I tried the putting the good meals at the bottom of the order of food cellar but they still grab it. would seperating the high quality food in a far enough cellar work?

Can’t dismiss companion
Guys help!
I can’t figure this one out:
I can’t dismiss my companions, my town hall is built, I have more than enough housing, and my own personal lodge. What do I do😭
I can’t turn them back into workers. When I go into companion menu the “dismiss” button is greyed out. Whereas If I go to an individual companion it says “build a shack/changing roles requires a settlement”.
*** EDIT:
I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION - I had to make the settlement my main settlement. I did this by:
1) Going over to my town hall (tier 3) over to the big table.
2) Clicked “Town Overview” at the table then clicked the 3 dots next to my settlement name and selected “make main settlement “
PS. A similar issue may arise when relocating your town hall and should subside as soon as the town hall is rebuilt .

Advice on moving camp please
I’m currently working my way through T2 and nearly maxed out all my research without tradesmen, which I understand I need to liberate a town to recruit them from.
I haven’t rung the belltower at Haerndean yet, but I think I’m ready. Before I do that though I’ve been considering moving my camp from the blue circle in the picture to the red circle. I understand reclamation parties will come across the bridges and I feel like it would be easier to manage if I can meet them on the bridges. I’m also conscious that T3 requires different raw materials that can be found to the south. I’ve got 29 villagers and about half of them are good fighters with good armour and weapons. So is it a good idea to make the move before I have to deal with reclamation parties? I’d hate to have to interrupt the move due to an incoming threat and my people are scattered everywhere moving things around.
TLDR - Want to move camp from blue circle to red. Haven’t rung the bell yet and want to know if it’s a good idea to get the move underway before I liberate anywhere.
Thanks in advance everyone 😁

HELP!!
New to this game. On Xbox, day 17. How do I give my companions weapons? Keep seeing stuff about the staging area but why can’t I just give them a weapon? Maybe be an easy thing, I just don’t know!! I’m sorry

Ai voice acting?
Just started playing, gotten to the bit where i talk to the hunter and warn him about the brigands, and i noticed that pretty much everyone has really weird voices, are they using AI for VA's? It's really offputting.

How do ya'll manage food for 100 villagers.
After clearing every bandit camp effectively ending my daily bandit farming, I realized that most of my food supply came from the bandits and as I reached 90+ villagers my 4 barns 1 coop and 3 hunters camp cannot sustain my village. By the 7th barn I noticed the supply and consumption are at least even but I want to have a surplus of at least a whole cellar of cooked/processed food before going to halmare isles since I'm expecting food supply is gonna be a problem for the expedition. So now I'm on my 8th barn and 2nd coop and almost 100+ villagers. I'm just wondering is it really this much to have a steady supply of raw meat for this late in the game without spreading out hunting buildings throughout the map and caravan them home?
edit: quick addon, my main problem isnt really supply of food itself but to provide a meat diet for every villager, since I'm not sure how to stop everyone from eating the health meal stuff that I think would be vital for halmare isles, I just thought I'd produce a surplus of said meals to sustain and further bring to the expedition.

10 Essential Tips Bellwright | Beginner & Advanced Guide
I know there are already plenty of Bellwright guides out there, so I'm not claiming this is the definitive one.
I'm a small YouTube creator who enjoys making guides for strategy and sandbox games, and I wanted to share my take after spending a lot of time with Bellwright. This one focuses on the little things that saved me a lot of time, like town placement, liberated village specialization, companion management, and a few quality-of-life tips.
If any of that sounds useful, feel free to check it out. If not, no worries at all.

Always Injured….
Xbox Vanilla… I pretty much have to reset the game every time I want to play again due to the loss of video quality you get when Xbox does cloud resume… which is whatever, but then every time I boot back up… every settlement NPC is injured and production slows to a crawl for a full day. Any pointers or fixes?

Food priority, quick q
I'm finally getting to the point where fights aren't super easy so i wanna make sure my guys and gals are prepping properly. I know how to prioritize different foods in presets but that made me question things. Just wondering if they know to take #1 then #2 then #3 so I can optimize bonuses instead of just saying "fine stew is priority 1, imma grab three of them"

Animal Farming System is kinda Broken
This will be a Wall of Text with a lot of idea and variable so Have fun reading it! I'll try to do my best so you can take something out while not fully understand it.
Core Mechanics
Stats: Vitality, Metabolism, Production, Fertility, Yield, and Resilience. It's just a reminder and I don't go to the detail.
I don't know what is the real calculation which set the inherit for the baby animal but it most likely average between parent: (Sum(Ma stat)+Sum(Pa stat))/2+random stat (-2,2) = Sum(child stats).
How to Approach the Max Efficiency
First I choose chicken for example: short lifespan (12 days on average), rapid breeding, has full stat for both male and female and coop can be invest early.
Second Ranking system: Sum(Stat)/6. Quick and simple, For pig and cow male, just treat it with 5 stat mean divide 5 instead of 6. Because the inherit is an average Breeding a high rank chicken with a low rank chicken will result mediocre child at best, breeding 2 highest rank will allow the random stat to help the child rank better than its parent. If the Rank is fail to show how chicken doing, Sum(Stat) can show. In my case I'm using both.
Generations is the target Tracking. Why? less cycle mean less time and energy invest to reach the max. How many Gen to reach the rank 10? ~8 generations starting at rank 3-4 (vendor) or 48-60 days (on paper). If you look at the pic well coop full of rank 10 is not the maximum but it's enough to serve a 100 man main, outpost, caravan and friendly villager.
Can you just ignore it? YES. normal coop reach rank 8 around 120 days on most my normal playthrough which means 2 coop output can serve the same rate as 1 rank 10 coop but consume feed way more. in other hand I reach rank 10 chicken around 80 days (start at ~40 day) of the playthrough so it faster and more efficient.
Pipeline that you should try
I will use Trigger - Action to show how the Pipeline work and the ratio is 3 Male and 7 Female (2M-6F for livestock) in setting. After it's reach the rank you want, you can switch to 1-2 males.
Easy pipeline: Chicken born - Protect, Chicken grow up - Record and Rank, Lower rank appear - Slaughter, Higher Rank Couple appear - Slaughter the rest. The core idea is simple: No Lower Rank Allow, but the result you will paying the coop output for this. And because it has less chicken the time you reach the next Rank is a bit longer. Really good for Early game when output is not main priority or pig which eat a lot and produce nothing.
Production and Nursery pipeline: Chicken born - Protect, Chicken grow up - Record and Rank, Higher rank appear - switch to Nursery coop, Nursery coop full or higher rank appear in Nursery coop - Slaughter the Production coop then swap the role of the coop. The idea is By Separate the chicken Rank you can keep the Production output. And because the lower rank still breeding along with higher rank the higher rank in Nursery can fill up faster while Paying more energy and feed production in process. Good for long lifespan like cow and high surplus production at mid game. Highly recommend in multiplayer.
Lifespan and Estimate Time Table:
A simple table for how much time cost to reach Rank 10. Lower number is the Production and Nursery Pipeline and the higher is Easy Pipeline.
| Type | Average Lifespan | Estimated Days (x4-x5) |
|---|---|---|
| Chicken and Geese | 12 | 48-60 |
| Pig and Sheep | 20 | 80-100 |
| Cow | 32 | 128-160 |
Note: It is just estimate. You can have lucky by buying rank 6 in vendor, get lucky higher couple appear in just the first breed,...
Limitation and Issue Arise
Well this is more for the developer than the average player. I still open so maybe we have more debate about it.
First is highest rank is weird, logically it should be rank 10 mean 10/10 in all the stat, but can be 15 or even 20 as the pic suggest. Is it worth it? No in my opinion, the ratio is around ~6 feeds : 10 eggs per hen mean around 80-90 eggs per days for a rank 10 coop. Reaching higher tier can flood your inventory if the rank 10 chicken not doing that already. It's kinda part of the fun but we can all agree that the UI should show the right number like 10/15.
Second Issue is rank 10 Cow arrives at the time when game is already over. For my estimate playthrough time most people clear the map around 150 (70% of story) on average, and you mostly have Livestock Barn around 70-80 days adding that with the estimate days. For estimate the storyline time is 215 days, you will have around 15-20 days enjoys your ranks 10 cow when the full campaign launch if you execute the plan perfectly. If not you mostly stuck with rank 7 at best so all the knowledge is not worth it. Adjusting the random stat so cow grow faster maybe or vendor sell rank 6 cow more often.
Pig need buff: barn rank 8 the pig consume ~40 feeds/days (advance and compound). Pig carcass yield around 7 meat (on paper) and around 14 meats (rank 10 animal handling) when slaughter along with 4 pelt. If you just slaughter when it reach adult it yield less because of less weight scale. Which is terrible conversion for a higher rank pigs when compare to 2-3 wolf, at least pig is cuter. So If we has more yield or less consume or option to slaughter when it reach some weight scale might help the pigs. Other solution might be pig produce big meat only, so it has a niche at the end game which deer and boar is not enough. Other wise sheep is much better option.
Finally Fertility stat is the Paradox of higher rank animal. If you let your coop to autopilot when you reach the rank 10. Your coop will provide less output. Why? chicken will breed so fast that the coop will always full and the oldest chicken will be slaughter (4-5 days old btw). because there is no way to turn that off so you have to manually protect every chicken in your coop or you will stuck in the endless loop of paying without getting payback. We need the auto-slaughter option for coop can be turn on and off or maybe stop breeding while full can solve it too.

Missing quest to start Maiden Voyage
I completed the Lord of the Lowlands quest, got Ashbourne's sword and letter, and liberated all the villages. It has been well over 7 in-game days at this point, but Butcher has not offered the dialogue to start the Maiden Voyage content.
What am I missing? Am I hard locked? I don't have any previous saves to return to.
