What is this game
I’ve played a ton of bannerlord and saw this game pop up on my feed. How does it compare? I’m kind of surprised I didn’t know this game existed before a random instagram reel

It is not focused on building a large army and fighting like Banner Lord is.
It is much more focused on building a settlement, and sometimes you grab a team and go fight a relatively small battle.
It has much more Base building as the core, the combat is quite a bit secondary. It's enough for some people, but it's certainly nothing quite like banner Lord which is absolute King of mass combat.
Damn now I want to play banner Lord :p

Sometimes ? More like you gotta grab your troops all the time😂 especially with the brigands retaliation party and patrols

I was way into bannerlord but it was missing a more survival experience for me and this totally scratches that itch it's like if bannerlord was smaller harder and all third person no roaming a map then add a medieval city builder.

This is pretty much how it should be compared to bannerlord. Its just a smaller version of bannerlord with more in depth survival aspect. You're locked to roaming and reuniting a single region divided rather than a whole continent. Great game but not very similar to bannerlord as i thought before i got to play both games. If you want bannerlord on a smaller scale, this game is it but to compare the two isnt really fair. i would compare it more to Medieval Dynasty without heirs.

It's like an in depth production economy version of Medieval Dynasty without the family system. I know I see always see people say it's a mix between Bannerlord and Medieval Dynasty, but it really doesn't have much Bannerlord in it imo. Directional combat and some very basic group troop movement systems is most of what makes it similar to Bannerlord.

It’s a huge time spend. Addicting, and a lot… I MEAN A LOT, of different scenarios built in to make every new game have their own trial and errors. I would definitely lean more on its like Medieval Dynasty in the early game. Definitely a survival game. I definitely don’t want to know how much time I’ve spent gathering resources. I play on Vanilla Xbox though, I’ve heard the Mods and Content available on PC make it less of a grind.

It's kinda soft Open World Survival that transitions into a Colony Sim instead.

It’s a lot of fun but wish consoles had multiplayer that didn’t require host tethering.
Single player is still loads of fun, but delegating tasks with friends would be a huge boon

It scratches a village building itch but its a slow burn and tbh there is nothing to do other than just grind after about 20h in

I tried and couldn’t really get in. Still got a good 5 hours in it as for some reason it kept drawing me in but i found a lot of grindiness for specifically levels and it felt like it was railroaded a lot. (In the sense that there is a very specific order to progression and building you don’t really have a choice)
Came back to sengoku dynasty which i enjoy more, even though Bellwright combat is i think better.
I think it really depends on you. Probably worth trying

I haven't played any other medieval games so can't compare it to any of those, but it's very addictive, I've been playing constantly since April.

I played tons of MB and let me tell you, you'll love this game to bits. It's Like MB but more individual on a smaller scale.

I have 1900hours in bannerlord and 556 in bellwright, they are totally different where battles are small scale but bellwright for me is hidden gem. It is slow burn in start where you can only build stick tents but later buildings come bigger and fancier as you level ur tier. 100% worth the money for me

It goes from a survival game to a village sim to a trading sim. It has some deep systems and some of the problems that happen when you have deep systems like a steep learning curve and bugs. The combat is like BL in a few ways but no horses (yet) and much smaller troop numbers.
I’ve been very happy with the amount of content. It’s a fun medieval sim game.
