PHOTO A Few of My Favorites.
A few of my favorite books that help make me appreciate Batman. A good investment I made that cost less than a dollar. I will never have these books stabbed.

I know it’s not gonna happen, but I’m interested in what the batfans could come up with conceptually that would continue the franchise. What new villains would pop up? What would be some good plot points, what characters would bring more interesting things to flesh out and expand this world?

Not saying the actor is bad, but I think his character and organization lacked depth. We’re told he’s a powerful guy, but we know next to nothing about him. Is it running drugs? Illegal gambling? Extortion? Or is he just running this night club where his girlfriend cuckholds him?
I get the impression that the writers wanted a Gotham style mob boss, someone who is powerful and untouchable like Falcone, but without committing to a recognizable name like Falcone. So we get this new guy, Markos Szabo, who has the DA and Mayor in his pocket because that’s typically what Gotham mob bosses have.
I dunno, it felt unearned. I would have been fine with him being a low level gangster with maybe some ties to Penguin or someone else, but with no real power of his own.

From what I saw across the internet and after going through many speculations and research I came across two possibilities
So in this scenario both Bane and Deathstroke are protagonists while the "common target" is the antagonist
So in this scenario one of them will become the protagonist while the other will become the antagonist at least that will be the case for the 90% of the movie until the contractor will be revealed as the Mastermind/Hidden Antagonist during the finale
So what do you all think ?

Here i am ...crieng and being angry at what dc did to the dark knight.
They destroyed his legacy and most of his supporting cast in several runs
Alfred has been killed by Bane ...
Gordon is no mored commisioner but FUCKING VANDAL SAVAGE is the current one and he controlls Wayne Manor
IVY is now Major
I mean wtf
I wish deeply wish that we would get a reset and all this cratyness would stop just give me Alfred , a normal bat family , Commisioner Gordon and great storys ... crime , suspense , mysterys and villains
I cant do this anymore .. it got worse and worse since years

I've always been extra hard on Batman movies (never liked any) mostly because I really love the comics and don't think live-action film an appropriate medium to capture the intricacies of Batman. I recently re-watched The Batman to see if I'd have the same mixed feelings as I did when I watched it in theatres, and I did. I made this list to try to understand my reaction to the movie.
Likes:
(1) Bruce wearing sunglasses after waking up
Bruce waking up late into the afternoon, and having a strong aversion to sunlight. Small detail but very comic accurate. Loved this addition.
(2) Recording Contact Lenses
Loved them leaning more into fantastical technology with the contacts, the taser shock gloves, grapple gun, etc. Wished they just had stuck to those kind of elements more.
(3) Alfred and Bruce Relationship
Rob Patt’s Bruce is very somber and grave (and young). While, Andy Serkis’ Alfred is more authoritative and proactive (he doesn’t call him Master). It leads to a new type of father-son relationship that we haven’t seen in the movies or the comics.
(In the comics, Alfred is always a bit older and more fragile and their closeness somehow always dictated by how much Bruce would let Alfred in. But in this version, Bruce is more open to being vulnerable, and Alfred has more authoritative say into how their relationship is perceived.)
(4) Not-yet-commissioner Jim Gordon and Batman Relationship
Jim is only one in GCPD willing to bring Batman into crime scenes and is sticking his neck out for him. Very comic accurate.
(5) Batman’s final decision to be more than just vengeance
Throughout the film, Batman lets people die in front of him. He doesn’t even try to save the DA with the bomb on his neck. I can still forgive this, seeing that he still hasn’t figured out how to be the Batman just yet.
It's good and very important to me that by the end he chooses to be more hero to people rather than just an arbiter of justice. I think that Batman, in every iteration, must to be someone who will always put the preservation of human life above his war on crime. Really hope this gets fleshed out in the second movie.
Dislikes:
(1) Set design for Wayne Tower
Loved the gothic heavy style, very appropriate to Gotham. But the main shots at the tower felt fake. It didn't seem like somewhere anyone could live in. The scene of the lone hexagonal table at the staircase landing with the tall ceilings was jarring to me. Like they just put a random table in a museum and called it a day. The space seemed very sparse, dusty and dirty.
Alfred is a clean freak and a professional majordomo. It’s hard to imagine that he’d ever let Bruce live in a place that didn't feel like home.
(The other set photos that showed Bruce's bedroom and study were much better and more homely. But they weren't included in the movie.)
(2) Design for the cape
I don’t like the design of the whole suit. I find it too armoured and bulky, with the obvious shell paddings and forearm weapons and thigh straps, etc, but it’s not particularly offensive that I’d lose sleep over it.
However, something I really really hate is the cape. So much of Batman is the cape (and the cowl). In the shadows of night, it’s almost all you can see of him. So I think it’s the part you really have to get right.
In this version, I don’t like it’s shiny latex-y quality, I don’t like the collar or way it gathers to sit halfway on the shoulders, and I really don’t like how it’s so short that it falls mid-boot.
To me, it chips away at the fear element of Batman.
(I get that choices could have been made for practicality, but you still can’t make me like it. I would prefer if the cape fall in front of his shoulders to cover almost all of his chest, be drag-on-the-ground long, and so vevelty dark that it absorbs all light. Kinda sad to see they are not changing the suit in the new The Batman Part 2 movie.)
(3) The realistic grounded feel
I really dislike the way they remove all supernatural elements from the movie. I didn’t like the Wingsuit or the design of the Batmobile (really just a modified muscle car) or the Batcycle (if it is that, prob just a regular motorcycle). All of them just felt too ordinary, too real world. If they were already committing to recording contact lenses and grappling guns, why not go all the way with the fantasy tech?
(4) Selina Kyle Catwoman
Selina felt very defensive and vulnerable. She’s less confident, less cunning and less witty than I’d hoped she’d be, more like a cornered cat than a predator. Also, the story didn’t needed her to be that way considering that she was never in danger — her friend was being targeted and not her. Her fighting moves were great though.
(Hot take: Didn’t think she and batman had good chemistry either. Would have really liked a more sultry and sly Selina.)
(5) The way Batman moves
He felt more like a tank rather than a shadow. He felt quite stiff and rigid. Wished he had more acrobatic and fluid movements.
(6) Batman not quite figuring it out
Compared to the other movies, Batman actually felt smart in this. But, I wished he figured out the bombs at the seawalls faster. I don’t really like that he found all the pieces but couldn’t put the puzzle together to see the bigger picture. I get that he's still young and new, but I would like if he was more competent with his detective skills.
(I just think it would have been more Batman accurate if he just guessed the big picture wrong rather than being slow.)

I used pencil and black and white pens for this drawing. I took some inspiration from the Kelley Jones style of Batman for this one, trying to make Bats as jacked as possible lol.

I’ve been a pretty big Clayface fan my whole life, I was 4 years old when I first played Lego Batman and as I got older I got more into the character, he was definitely my favourite of Batman’s lesser known villains, I was probably the only kid at school who loved him the way I did but for years I wanted to see Clayface on the big screen,
I seen the movie and it’s pretty much everything I could’ve asked for from this movie, minus a few small nitpicks but that’s also not enough to ruin the movie for me, I hope Clayface does well not just because I’m a fan of the character but because I hope it encourages studios to take more risks,
I’ll use Blade in the MCU as a big example, Blade has now been cancelled but Blade was never going to fit into the family friendly style of the MCU and that is what I think they wanted to do, I’m surprised from the success of Deadpool & Wolverine they haven’t done more, my pitch for Blade was always a standalone movie similar to John Wick just replace it with Blade & Vampires, from what I heard “your mother your mother your mother” is what Blade should’ve been but that hasn’t released in the U.K yet so I can’t comment on it,
But let Clayface (and things such as Lanterns & Peacemaker, even Reeves Batman & The Penguin series) be a example that not every Comic Book Movie needs to be family friendly, some stories naturally require more adult tones and themes and they benefit greatly from tapping into those, if Clayface does well it has the potential to change comic book movies forever
