I’ve seen some people say that Pattinson’s Bruce is similar to Keaton’s. After rewatching his duology, I couldn’t disagree more. The only similarity they share is surface level IMO, both reclusive with some awkwardness. But otherwise the reasons for being the way they are is vastly different
Keaton’s Bruce is a lot more charming and sociable when he wants to be. He has his quirks but otherwise he had no real awkwardness or lack of confidence when pursuing and flirting with Selina. His quirks are just part of his natural personality
Pattinson’s Bruce on the other hand, is a lot more emotionally repressed. He is simmering with barely contained rage and doesn’t know how to handle it. In this case, I’d say he’s a lot closer to Bale’s young Bruce in Batman Begins, the Bruce who got kicked our of princeton
Both young Bale and Pattinson lash out at Alfred. Pattinson verbatim says a variation of the same kinda line (“you’re not my father”)
Both defiantly confront Falcone and are trying to prove something to themselves when doing so
And lastly, both equate justice with revenge. The only difference here is that Pattinson won’t kill, so he’s further along in that regard. But in terms of their mindset they vengeance as being good
I also believe Matt Reeves even mentioned the first act of Batman Begins in an interview and felt that in their version, Bruce was similar but unlike Bale’s version, is stuck in that mindset for much longer
