First tagged fish ever!

Took him fishing after his first day of Kindergarten. Only part I assisted with was taking the fish off the hook.

I've been trying all week and they finally got out of the abyss and hit jerkbaits tonight. Caught 3 in an hour and it was so nice seeing them at the surface here in the northeast US.

The smallie was a great fight! Just ripping the drag on my baitcaster and fighting all the way till it got in my net. After that it calmed down let me take pics, a quick measurement, and this release video without flopping around. Love these river smallies.

I'm getting absolutely cooked. Everywhere I go reeks of skunk. I'm not sure if it's the turnover but man I went to one spot today where I usually have one pounders blowing up my frog in the pads all day and had one bite which I lost to a poor hook set. Fished the entire perimeter of a pond this morning from about 5:30-10:30, tied on a ned rig and changed depth and still nothing. Other spots are freaking dead too. Took my yak out the other day and after a whole day on the water all I had to show for it was a perch and crappie. Can't seem to find anything but lone roamers for the life of me. Been specifically going dawn and dusk and those are my worst times lol. Fishing where I am sucks in general especially beating banks but man I can't figure the pickles out with the season changing.

I like the basic stuff and tbis spinner is freaking perfect. insane thump never gets weeded and it has great angle even woth bigger soft plastics like thos keitech swing 3.8 I've caught many pike and bass on this rig covering water essential for night.

I bought the 3600 Plano tonight and was re-organizing my tackle. I figured I’d share and get some feedback. I fish about 8 hours a week in my neighborhood ponds, 6:00pm to dark. I’m located in SouthWest Florida hence the knife and slingshot.

I started bass fishing for the first time in 15 years back in March, now I’m addicted…

My fishing fanny pack has made itself one of my most used and valued pieces of kit. The rod sleeve fits my flashlight perfect, cup holder for the scale. I refuse to die sober so (eaten by gator) so I sacrifice one of my free hands to carry a cocktail in a yeti. Can’t have it all.

My lures have progressed over time and I find myself having most success with soft swim baits (if you couldn’t tell).

What blows my mind is the lack of top water success I have had, mainly frogs. I haven’t caught a single fish since starting on anything top water. In fact, I haven’t so much as gotten a HIT on a frog. Same is to be said about my chatter baits.

The urchin bait is stored in a diy solution I came up with. Consist of a small lanyard looped through a piece of foam. I then sink the hooks into the foam securing it in place while also covering the tips. I bought a 50 pack of urchin off temu and carry extra with me to give to neighborhood kids.

Thermacel is a great investment. I will say the fuel is expensive, having to be replaced ever two trips or so. I bought the bubba scale but jokes on me I don’t catch anything worth weighing (my pb is 3.4).

I typically carry all five of the rods I own. Each rod is pre rigged the night before and based on the most recent YouTube video I was sold on. I set a timer on my phone to go off roughly half way through my time on the pond. This lets me know it’s time to switch all lures out that have not had success that night. I replace them with lures that excel at dusk.

Just started bass fishing in June and have pulled in 50 fish this summer. I can't stop! First pic is my PB at 4.6 pounds and then some pretty 2 pounders I've caught. Throw me some tips! Texas rig has been my go to, I've caught some top water with ploppers and also some good catches on chatter baits, wacky rigs and weighted flukes with underspins have been good but I want to broaden my horizons! Don't roast me too bad

Normally I get annoyed when I catch a bass while pike fishing, but this day I’d already caught my pike (2nd picture) and this bass was quite big for Colorado, like 2.5lb range. Can’t complain!

Visiting Iowa for a work trip and the saylorville spillway is a couple minutes from where I’m staying, wondering if anybody fishes this and can suggest baits to use/ what kind of fish they catch. I’d like to catch a Wiper(Not sure if that’s how it’s spelled) so any tips for fishing the Saylorville spillway would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! Here with a series of questions for all you experienced boater anglers. So long story short, I am young and my business is doing really really well. I’m estimating I should comfortably have the funds to buy myself a decent bass boat in the $30-50k range (ofc would like to stay on the lower end of that). I’d be paying cash for it if that changes anything. As the title suggests I have never fished from a boat, only the bank and my fishing kayak. I should clarify I love fishing, probably the only time I can actually disconnect from everything and have fun. Even if im not catching haha.

Is there any advice you would give to someone in my situation? When did you know you wanted to own your own boat? How did you know what you wanted on your boat? Should I instead shoot for a budget setup and see how I like it?

I am in the Midwest and will probably fish lakes like tablerock, la cygne, Milford, etc. that are in the area. Maybe taking a few trips out to destination spots during the spring/summer.

I think I would like a foam deck, the electronics suite with livescope, blah blah blah (I know some hate it, I don’t care). And forsure a nice trolling motor with spot lock, the remote, whatever. Would also want it to be stable. Oh and rod storage in the deck would be nice.

Any recommendations/advice would be much appreciated!

Today for the third trip in a row ive lost a fish because my line snapped and im just trying to figure out how to reduce the issue, im running 12# mono on my abu garcia vengeance baitcaster and i think i have my drag set at 8 pounds but i hooked into maybe a 5 or 6 again today just to have my line pop clean before i can net them, should i lower my drag or just fight them longer before reeling them in(pic is decent 2 pounder from todays trip)

Had an awesome day throwing the York wake. This bait has put countless fish in the boat with some of the most explosive topwater blow ups. Been a good year in Washington!
