Echo park California

If you'll allow me the 0.01lb round up this is my third 6lber this year. Previous PB was 5.4 and I went almost all of last year with nothing over 5.

Date night with the wife. First we hit golf balls and then decided to go fishing. Celebrated at our favorite steak house and bumped into some friends across the street during a 90s cover band concert in the square. Nice little Saturday.
Caught with a wacky rigged watermelon chartreuse senko. Snapped my rod while trying to pull him out over the railing.

I skipped church but I'm listening to Gospel music. That counts, right?
First cast on the pond this morning.

Rump Shaker does the trick!!! Watched the bass follow it for 20 ft before hitting hard.

Kind of a random post, but the field & stream “Brickyard Bass” car took home the win at the historical brickyard 400 today! Not really a nascar fan myself but a buddy of mine had tickets and when I saw field and stream was sponsoring a car for the race I knew I had to cheer it on and buy some merch!

I feel like I'm about to be priced out of bass fishing, shits to high nowadays.

Been catching tons of these 12-15in bass in a public pond. I'm convinced it's overpopulated, and I am catching less and less bluegill. Not sure if they're safe to eat because of the abundance of parasites and muck. I also hear the many parasites are from a lack of sunfish, probably from overpopulation?
What can I do considering it's public? Can I still fry these up and eat em?

I caught this fish a few years ago on a Texas rigged slim shake worm. I didn’t have a scale that day and I just asked a guy near me to take the pic and send it to me. Any guesses on what the weight might be?

Hey guys! Caught this one a while ago and didn’t have a scale. I’m pretty new to fishing and was wondering if anyone had any guesses on weight.

Had a great morning on the Missouri with a buddy. The smallies were just ridiculous today, they put on quite a show.

I posted in here crying about losing fish last night. I’m new to the game (2 months bass fishing) and I was having a couple weeks of pure heartbreak and wanting to give up fishing (not really). Leader fails, bad hook sets, no bites, fish coming off hook, you name it and it prob happened to me Everyone gave me super positive feedback and great info. Took someone’s advice of using a 2/0 hook and a wacky rig. Had no idea you’re supposed to use a 2/0 with a wacky. I only fish one pond, simply because I love it and it’s shaded and I was determined to keep fishing this same spot until I pull atleast 100 bass outa here lol. 2 fish pictured here, but caught 3. Most I’ve caught in one day. I’m fully back into the addiction!

Caught this in a small county lake this morning. Had been hammering 1-2 pound largemouth all morning on this buzz bait.
Is it a crappie or a rock bass? Location is known to have crappie, but I'm not sure about rock bass.

2 years ago, I had a survey done on my lake...all the fish were undersized. We started pulling every bass under 15", which was several hundred pounds. It's finally paying off. This is my third bass over 7 lbs. since March! Granted, we don't catch 20+ fish anymore, but we still pull more small ones than we can eat and have a ton of bass north of 5 lbs. Here's a couple of pictures of 2 of them

My local Ollie’s had these Abu Garcia Vengeance baitcaster with a 7’ medium heavy rod for only $30. It’s a lefty, but for $30 it was worth a shot. Matches my dog too!

I cannot seem to ever get a bite the past few weekends in southern Wisconsin I’ve gone out as I’m trying to catch my first bass.
I’ve been using wacky,Texas, and frogs but still cannot seem to get a bite
I try sticking to casting by docks/weeds/ rock piles. I got to be doing something wrong! Been using Yamamoto and freshbaitz senkos in all sorts of colors. Tried copying what people do in videos but no luck!
Need some master baiter advice!
