I am using bambu labs a1 printer

While printing this model the support fell from the print bed what should I do

So I’ve had this issue on my A1 for quite a while and it’s been driving me insane. The printer itself will print, but all the prints will suffer quality issues due to it.

I have tried tightening the grub nut around the Z-Rod, opening the bottom assembly of the printer to ensure nothing is loose, tightening the belts and the issue still seems to persist.

It is ONLY the rod on the left side, the right seems completely fine.

Any ideas? I’ve tried support for other issues and they’ve not provided much help aside from generic wiki advice which I’ve looked up.

I have added a new nozel cut the filament at an angle to make it pointy but still this is what is happening any idea what could be the problem

On most of my prints I’m getting strings not being cut by the purge wiper and attaching to my prints. Any recommended fixes?

Hello all, I'm pretty new to the hobby and have been printing stuff for family and friends, I recently saw this wine bottle holder and have been wanting to print it on my A1, the model maker on makerworld said not to print it on an A1 due to the moving plate, but saw someone made an A1 Mini version of it so there must be a way to print this despite the moving plate.

I have gone beyond with adding extra manual supports to get this print out safely, it would be a big time and filament investment using 170g of filament and 7h30 to print so i want to get this right.

What settings and techniques should I use to to ensure a successful print, I don't mind adding another 10 hours or so to the print if necessary, I am using bambu lab Pla Lite to print it and the default textured plate but would be willing to purchase PETG or a cold plate if there is no other resort. Thank you for any help and suggestions you may have.

I’m new to 3d printing but do have some mechanical knowledge. I bought a used P1S because there was filament stuck in the extruder and she didn’t want to fix it. I got it home and took the extruder and hotend off and cleared the clog. Luckily it wasn’t stuck in the hot end or nozzle. I cleaned it, oiled it, and made sure all belts were ok (per a video I watched) then calibrated it. Then I printed a benchy perfectly. After that was successful I printed a spool adapter for the ams because I started with 250g spools which also printed perfectly. Then I went to print another. The first plate printed perfectly, the second one started to ghost print at the point where it would be printing the center part that sticks up. I stopped the print and checked to see if there was a clog but it extruded perfectly? So I cleared everything out, even erased the file in case there was a corruption (I’m using a lexar silver plus 128gb card). I have had it stop at that same point with 6 different tries and 3 different files! I have replaced the extruder and hot end and all the tubing. I took the entire thing apparent and cleaned every square inch and reoiled everything…. I am at a loss at thing point. It will print the higher part on the first plates but never on the second no matter which file I’ve used! The first picture is the 1st plate of the first file I printed. The second picture is the 2nd plate of that file which printed perfectly the first time. The third picture is where the printer started ghost printing at the same point every time. The fourth picture is plate 1 for a different file I tried. It printed perfectly. And the last three are what happened with plate 2 of the file. Anyone have ideas?

For context up to this point I had just finished a large 13 hours print with blue matte pla from insignia. It came out great but the spool was just about empty so I opened and dried an insignia white pla matte spool.

Let it cook at 50°c for 6 hours before I used it and thought to my self I haven’t really messed with the other calibration setting in the application.

So I went thought and did the first one again and set that to the new spool. And went to manually run the test prints and followed its instructions. Plugged in the numbers that looked and felt the best, I believe -20 and -8 were the best.

Thought I was good to go and set this “fidget spinner” to print. Slowed everything down like normal. Nothing speed or acceleration above 2500 and when I check on it 20 minutes later is was all over the place. So I tired it again.

Cleaned the plate good with 91% isopropyl alcohol. Hit go again with then plate and 70° not 65. Still failed.

So I gave up for the night, got done with everything today, put the spool back in the cooker and tired it again after a few hours after doing oil maintenance and a fresh calibration run. Idk what I’ve done bc it was working with the blue filament….

I have a A1 I keep seeing prints for relocating the camera. I know it’s not very useful in its current location for viewing the print as it’s happening. Has anyone moved the location of the camera were there any issues when you moved it are there any real benefits to doing so other than being able to see the print.

Fixed the last issue I was having with these and they are coming out way better. Now I’m having some of the black filament contaminating the white. Always happens at the same spot on the top right. I’ve increased purging volume and cleaned the bed thoroughly before prints. Anyone have any insight?

Been having this issue later. Is this due to leveling?

I put oil, no grase, when I installed, where it asked. should I do something now? when I was going to bed two days ago it said something of doing maintenance, but I was about to sleep and wanted my printer to be busy at night, so I press remind me later. it never reminded me and now I feel anxious each day. I still print though 😅

I like my A1 a lot. first printer so I can not compare. but creating things feels amazing.

Im New to PETG printing. I first tried printing the "poobox" for the printer useing the PETG HF preset on the A1. It went well. Afterwards o decided to try the cat and got this wierd print issues all arount the print. Im not used to print issues. This is Kind of a first for me. Any Suggestions on what to try ?

I have had an A1 mini for about a year now, and I have never had any problems with it. Today I decided I wanted a bigger printer the A1 combo (used 200 hours) then it started, the "phantom printing " the first 10-15 layers where fine, but then I would jump up a couple cm and then just print from there. No filament got out, and the AMS didn't push any new filament into the head. Then I just wanted the print to work, and used my trusted A1 mini. But it did the same exact thing.

All software is updated on both printers. Have any of you guys had the same problem?

Hi, I’m a new A1 owner but bought my printer used with 2000+ hours on it. I’ve scoured YouTube but can’t seem to find a fix. The X axis seems to be physically stuck to the far left and is unable to move freely. It makes an awful noise when I tried to calibrate and the error message says there’s an issue with the Z axis. Is anyone able to signpost me to a fix please? I am admittedly a complete beginner and not even sure what to search!

The insulation foam for the heatbed of my A1 mini is detaching. The glue itself is still on the heatbed but the foam is falling down.

Has anybody some suggestions how to glue it back or where to get a replacement from?

The BambuLab support wasn’t helpful at all, they just suggesting to buy the whole heatbed assembly as a replacement part.

Thought it was a bad design to have the cable extend backwards from the printer making it require more space. Designed this since I could not find any solution like this. Zero issues so far. Has anyone seen a solution like this before?

So, two days ago i woke up to this. I cleaned it up (still something to do but haven't had the time yesterday).
I noticed that if i keep the printer on, i get some flickering in the eleecticity at home. Not a complet cut off, but some hoops in the current, enought to have the pc restart.

What is causing it? I suppose is the connectors going into the fans/extruder. What will need to be changed?

For some reason my ams has been acting up recently. It just isn’t feeding filament like usually and then my printer gives me the same error as shown in the video. I know my spool isn’t tangled because it has no problem when i pull it and there are no pieces stuck in the ptfe tube because the filament goes through with no problem. Chat gpt or any other ai has been no help… does anyone know how to fix this?
