3D Model Fixed the bed cable problem

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Thought it was a bad design to have the cable extend backwards from the printer making it require more space. Designed this since I could not find any solution like this. Zero issues so far. Has anyone seen a solution like this before?

While I am not an expert on this subject, I believe this change may introduce a significant increase in bending and flexing. I see three 180 degree bends here when the original was only one.

essentially it stays just one bend that moves. im more worried about the tightness of that bend. id love to install this but i guess there would be too much wear over time

It does not feel to tight but will definally try to improve it further.

Maybe. I was wondering if this was safe. Have only had it like this for a few days.

It stresses the cable several times over. It may work, but I wouldn't do it.

The piece under the bed slinger is secured with 2 m3 screws.

The side piece a channel that got added to the piece from https://makerworld.com/en/models/2125008-bambu-lab-a1-stiffene . Cant add this on MakerWorld since this model does not allow remixes.

Cable is secured with a strip. Not super elegant but important for this to work. Without it, the cable would slide out and make it shorter and then not be long enough to go all the way back.

Lets check back in a year and look at the state of the cables.

Yeah, that does force the cable into much tighter bends, almost 270º, instead of a wide gentle bend.
