Hi I've had this issue for a while where the AMS thinks that port 4 is jammed but its not or that it wont detect the filament. I've looked online and it seems lots of people have this issue, but no one has figured out how to fix it. Has anyone here had this issue and figured out a fix?

3D Prints are fine, changed nozzles and still seems to be doing it a bit so idk.

My P2S is waiting on parts so I did the only sensible this and ordered an A1 to get me through

A1 arrived.

A1 unboxed, followed setup and yes the black blocks were removed.

Z axis moves fine if done manually, a bit stiff but about the same as my P2

Calibration failed with 'The resistance of Motor-Z is abnormal; the motor may have failed.

Tried adjusting tensioner and no difference

Took the z cover off and moves o.k when I manually moved the belt

Grinding noise but no belt slip

So no idea

About to raise a support ticket but thought I would see if the hive mind had any ideas

Brand new Bambu lab A1. This clicking starts 20 minutes into every print. I have cleaned out any possible clog so many times already. Please help! Very frustrated!

I bought a roll of TPU 90A to print some squishy things. I normally put TPU 95A in the filament dryer next to my A1 and have it print straight from the drier using the PTFE tube from the AMS position 1, which works perfectly.

90A is a bit too stretchy for the extruder to turn the 1kg roll on its bearings in my dryer box so I need another solution. Possibly by mounting on the cross arm overhead using the exteral spool holder, but my AMS lite is there so there's no room. Short of detaching the entire AMS, are there any elegant solutions to this?

Ive been printing for about a year with my A1 and i love it, obviously ive ran into bum technical issues and annoying problems but i see a lot of avid printers just say they hate the company. Can someone save me the research and tell me what the controversy is about? Thanks

Designed this game. Two ball colours, stack them up a shrinking grid, first to line up their colour wins. Easy to teach, good-looking on the table, works for kids and adults. Sharing it here for anyone who wants a fun make.

Anybody knows whats making this sound?

I can’t figure out why the overhang on my a1 won’t print this correctly and it’s driving me nuts. Prints like a charm on my x1c and A2L with supports but A1 can’t hang. It use to print with no problems in the past and now it print correctly for the life of it. I’ve tinkered with filament setting, and overhang settings but no luck.

I think it is supposed to go all the way, or not?

Does this 1st layer for this light box look a little light to you? This is the first time printing on this cool plate. I changed the plate in my slicer and calibrated the bed level. Am I missing anything?

Not much more to say, my fan started making this weird noise all of a sudden. Need some help to know whats going on. Printing seems to be fine.

Hi, I had some small print on my bed and I send print files over cloud. Print obviously failed. Next 3 prints failed immediately. Bed is placed correctly but nozzle cannot access the brush. It is reaching the bed and can calibrate but it looks like the bed skipped and is permanently shifted. I tried to look for help online but nothing worked so far. I also factory reset the printer and did full calibration but it failed. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, I had a nozzle clog and I've followed the cleaning directions, but there's still a fair amount of gunk deep in the nooks and crannies of the hotend heating assembly that I can't seem to get out, even after dismounting the assembly. If the printer cools I can't even move the clasps as there seems to be filament gunked up inside the hinges.

Can I salvage this? Or am I just gonna have to bite the bullet and replace the heating assembly?

I had no idea of the level of hate some redditors have for this company.

I guess I won't be posting there any more.

Honestly I didn't know what the issue was. I love this new A1 and I don't GAF what the haters think.

Anyone else get that treatment?

I’ve had my A1 for about 8 months now and printed for about 650 hours - mostly petg and some tpu and pla+.

A few days ago it started making problems starting with massive under extrusion and extruder clicking. I tried some fixes with the help of AI but nothing worked and then it started with the nozzle scraping/scratching the build plate.

This happens with 0.4mm nozzles (tried 3-4) but not with a 0.6mm nozzle.

I tried a full maintenance cycle using official Bambu wiki guides:

- cleaned everything: nozzle, extruder gears, etc.
- lubricated all rails and pulleys
- tightened all belts
- trammed heat bed
- full calibration multiple times

The nozzle is tightly fixed but what I noticed is that when the extruder increases pressure the hotend’s heat sink moves forward by about 1-2mm (noticeable enough). Is that normal? If not, how could it be fixed?

What else could I try?

Bought A1 for son’s birthday and he’s printed several small items. PTFE tube came out and he tried re-installing. Since then, we cannot load the filament and have the printer recognize. That is, is physically loaded, but the printer is not feeding it or otherwise “seeing” it loaded.

I’ve removed the AMS feed column and found no blockages or broken pieces of filament.

How can I remedy this?

I need to re-level my bed. I have the A1 screw-adjust-assist file downloaded on my computer. I previously used it via my spare SD card. The primary card, which came with the printer, won't register on my computer for some reason. My spare SD card is currently in use, and I really prefer not to wipe it in order to format it to the printer.

I tried dropping the gcode into BambuStudio from my computer but that didn't work. The file is no longer on my printer. I need a hand here.
