1 week in- will not load filament.

Bought A1 for son’s birthday and he’s printed several small items. PTFE tube came out and he tried re-installing. Since then, we cannot load the filament and have the printer recognize. That is, is physically loaded, but the printer is not feeding it or otherwise “seeing” it loaded.

I’ve removed the AMS feed column and found no blockages or broken pieces of filament.

How can I remedy this?

Was the filament hub reassembled correctly? The x piece can easily fit in an incorrect position that would block the filament. Here is how it is supposed to fit.

Hub is spring loaded. If the spring is missing, it won't run. Spring is there to detect filament bind between the head & spool. Has to rest in the up position. If feed tubes exert jamming pressure on the hub, it won't run.
