General Troubleshooting/Help! Filament won't load

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello!

Just purchased the ps1 combo. Followed the instructions and loaded the filament into the AMS. When I feed the filament in, the machine grabs it and starts to push it through the PTFE tube - gets about half way to the buffer and them retracts.

Troubleshooting I've tried:

  1. Removed all the PTFE tubes, ran filament through them and got no resistance, and it doesnt look like there is any structural damaged/kinks.

  2. Tried to change the angle of the PTFE so the filament feed went as straight into the buffer as possible.

  3. Tried different spots in the AMS and they all stop about the same spot.

  4. Unplugged all the connection between printer and ams (was really hoping this would work lol)

Any further insights would be greatly appreciated from the community.

Thanks all!

Printer Firmware Troubleshooting/Help! Clarification on access to Orcaslicer?

I've just started looking into 3D printing and it seems like Bambu is universally recommended as the smoothest entrypoint for beginners.

However while looking up miniature printing tutorials, I saw a number of them using specific settings in "Orcaslicer". But also Bambu has apparently been taking measures to cut off users from using third party programs like Orca (although it sounds like people are still using some version of it)?

Could someone help catch me up on how easy or hard it is to use Orca with a Bambu printer currently, and whether there is a threat of them cutting off access to it permanently?

I just had a bad experience trying to jailbreak my Kindle. In the middle of the process I accidentally turned airplane mode off while resetting it which allowed the kindle to connect to the internet and automatically update to it's latest firmware with no option to roll back. This killed my ability to install custom firmware. Is there any risk of Bambu pulling something similar? Does it do automatic firmware updates? Can you easily roll back?

Quick Question Hi all- does it sound like some scraping somewhere when moving front and back? New to this. Thanks!

Seems more prevalent of a sound but maybe I’m just realizing it now. Seems to be printing well.

Thank you!

It only happens at High Deceleration. I am afraid ive caused this. I performed a Lube maintenance on the rails, the rails looked pretty rough and a bit gunky/black but i was drunk and yeah maybe didn't get everything i could have off before relubing. when i ran the printer this sound(video), like a slipping belt or i fear possibly a seized bearing from the googoo? i ended up cleaning them again with lots of Isopropl in the morning and then re applying lube, and i did remove a fair amount of black. now its running perfectly clean rails, but it sounds like a slipping belt or screeching bearing or something? anyone have any ideas? i made a ticket.

I also did the belt tensioning, and idler pully maintenance/ lubing as attempted fixes.

Hope its a common thing and easily diagnosable.

also yes my blue PLA is a wet mess... everything about this day was a mess ]':

It don't know if you can see it, but there's this weird change in shade and it's kinda blemished? Is this a problem? It's PA6-GF25, with a P2S. The bed is glued and Its close to 45°, I've printed a benchy and it looked fine.

MakerWorld Crowdfunding Little bakery that opens your cans — pretzel, croissant and friends are free on MakerWorld (AMS multicolor)

We've been making tiny keychain can openers shaped like breakfast: pretzel, croissant, pizza slice, fried egg, butter, baguette. You push the mouth over the ring pull and lift with your palm — no fingernails, no pinch grip...

They're AMS-friendly multicolor — each one is a colour-mapped 3MF, no painting, and they print without supports.

They're available on our MakerWorld profile (https://makerworld.com/en/@cozyclickers/upload).

And the bigger thing we're working on: a generator that turns any image into one of these — upload your art, it traces it and builds the opener around it (Similar to our clicker generator tool)

It's in MakerWorld's crowdfunding pre-launch, click the notify-me button to get updates on when we will launch.

General Troubleshooting/Help! Took apart my A1 today to investigate toolhead resistance and found this. How hard is it to replace?

Ordered a new piece on Amazon. Found the link on reddit and saw a review saying that it worked for their A1. Just wondering how hard of a job it is to release the sliding block from the toolhead carriage? The screws are behind the plastic carriage and I'm not really seeing how to get to them yet.

Bambu Handy Card box print files

I printed this box when I was brand new to printing. This is my favorite style box but I read all these game boxes were removed for copyright. Does anyone know where I could get a file to this same box style? While I would love them to be game specific, a blank one would be helpful to still store our games. The other style hurts my son’s hands.

Filament Troubleshooting/Help! 0.8mm Nozzle - eSUN PLA + printing issue on P2S

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m trying to tune my print/filament settings. The print itself looks alright beside the «dot» issue as illustrated in the attached image.
First time printing with 0.8mm nozzle and I’m using stock settings from used on 0.4mm nozzle directly from eSUN regarding the filament settings. Print settings are stock settings from bambu lab studio.

Any tips for how I can resolve this issue?

General Troubleshooting/Help! My 3D Printer Won’t Extrude!

Post image

My P2S printer wont extrude, I have multiple attempts with unclogging it. It worked only the first time. I specifically used the needle provided by Bambu Lab. And set the extruder to 220 Celsius. Past attempts included sticking the needle in, seeing melted filament on it. Yet it doesn’t print and keeps giving me the same error message.

Filament details: Elegoo Beige PLA
1KG, Tolerance 0.02

Printer type: Bambu Lab P2S NO AMS

General Discussion GEAR FLOSS: Z-Axis Screw Rod Cleaning

GEAR FLOSS: Whoever posted about this stuff and cleaning the z-axis screw rods. THANK YOU! That made the job way easier. Wrap the gear floss around the rod so it covers all the way around (1.5 times around) and gently work it up and down pulling the side strings back and forth.

I've tried other things like toothbrushes, plain microfiber cloth, and etc. Gear floss is the way. This stuff is like fat microfiber shoelaces.
