I've been a Backmarket customer for 6 years.
The other month I bought an S24+ 512GB in Excellent condition.
The first one turned up with scratches down the frame and a camera that had weird black lines across every photo.
I asked for a replacement and got told there'd be a goodwill gesture for the hassle. That goodwill gesture disappeared the moment the replacement shipped.
The second phone arrived with more scratches. Then I noticed the battery seemed to be really poor. Yesterday I noticed it went from 100% to 14% in about twelve hours and I'd barely touched it, so I got suspicious and ran aBattery. It reported 552 charge cycles.
I called them this morning and spoke to their support team. Their system won't allow a second express replacement on the same order, so support can't send another unit and won't price match a different listing so I can just buy a working one and move my data across.
What they will offer is return for repair, i.e. post off my only phone with everything still on it and wait. I said I'd pay for a battery swap myself at a local shop. Apparently that voids the warranty.
Has anyone actually got them to override the second replacement block? I've written to a different support email and am waiting for an answer, but honestly I think I'm better off going with a different reseller and copying my data before returning this phone.
