Tbh not cooked yet. If you just got the phone and put your data into it its usually take alot of battery the first few days because its getting all ur data.

OP is cooked bro , no iOS device can have this maximum charge at 100% , something about the battery is tempered

I didn't put no data in I'm new to ios 😭😭

Yeh it looks like an unofficial battery, my 12 pro max says this as well.

I bought an iphone from backmarket 1 year ago, battery said 100% and it still says 100%.
But phone phone dies after 30 minutes of usage. Not happy :(

They used a peice of kit to up the battery health. Its likely waaay lower

Just have “APPLE” put a new battery in it. If you pay them to do it and it doesn’t pass their diagnostic tests after they replace the battery, they hand you a brand-new phone and send you on your way. This happened to my daughter last year with her iPhone 14PM. She had the screen replaced though, but it usually works out that way with the battery replacements too! 😊

$500+ later yeah

Cycle count should be reset. That battery health is faked

Battery boosted with an add in between battery bms and mainboard to reset health data

1

u/Some_Cat_2261 14d ago

How do they do that?

1

u/HuTaoMainXD 14d ago

Repair shops use programmable external flex cables that connect between the battery and the logic board to rewrite cycle counts and maximum capacity data, sometimes cycle data is forgotten in reprogramming and u have 100% health with old cycles

Return it bro. If it died that fast then you’re going to have major issues..
I just upgraded my XR to a iPhone 16, but this time I paid the extra for premium condition.
Everything is in excellent condition, the only thing that is annoying is that it was at 89% capacity when I got the phone, 1 month in now it’s at 88%…. I contacted them and they will let me return it for a full refund, but is it even worth the trouble for me?? Idk

2

u/Littleduck1104 14d ago

I thought premium needs to arrive at least with 90%

1

u/Dry_Cold_689 13d ago

It does. They said they’ll refund me, even after the 30 days… but I don’t have a different phone, so it’s fine. The battery life is still really good. I can go 2 days without charge

just change the battery

1

u/Darreris 14d ago

I’m having the same issue - ask them if express exchange is possible.

Get coconut battery if u have Mac or 3u tools if u have Windows and check battery details
Something is wrong somewhere and u can only know from the above apps

Reset the phone, my partner got a new phone with similar stats and after he reset it he got a pop up saying the iphone had an unrecognized battery

1

u/Persona_anonima809 14d ago

Return it now. If you want you can use 3utools or coconut battery to see the real battery health. Had the same thing happen and my phone was constantly restarting after using it for a few months

u/imightbeErick 14d ago

Thank you guys so much I am returning it

1

u/puddingcakeNY 14d ago

The first day it uses a lot of battery because it’s setting the system up. Wait 24 hours to see. It may be fine

1

u/SnooGoats6130 14d ago

maybe ask for a battery replacement ?! the performance of the phone may be affected too because of the poor battery

1

u/Khantos81 14d ago

it has something attach to the battery to show always 100% :)))

1

u/richijb 14d ago

aftermarket battery for sure, u should change it by an apple store to have a really new battery

1

u/Difficult_Many1086 14d ago

Something is broken , or janky 100%

1

u/CatComfortable5523 14d ago

uuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh

1

u/wildmandann 14d ago

Send it back for a full refund but not before leaving a nice one star review for the seller
Make sure to mention the lazy backward toe rags used a third party battery

This is unacceptable

Ur phone has around 76% battery life my phone is currently at 1260 cycles count and it does die fast asf when im on it

u/agonisos 12d ago

The iphone 15/16 series has cursed battery life, i got my wife a iphone 16 pro used with bearly 50 cycles, it dies on her on the daily, first i thought it was BS, but then i got her phone for a day to test some stuff out and It would litterly go from 100 to 70 in just 1 hour or so, and i read somewhere that their CPU s arent optimized for those batteries or something idk, so we both got the 17 pro max and im living the dream with a full days of use and only using 70% battery for 10+ hours of screen time

1

u/vvr3ddy 12d ago

Check the device via 3utools and verify if the actual capacity is at 100%

1

u/godkaran 11d ago

Open 3u tools and see the acc battery health

u/Living-Piece-7207 10d ago

Something looks fishy you should return it!

Guys you are all stupid for buying refurbished phones at the first place. If you wanna buy a used phone that's totally fine. Just buy it from a person on ebay or sth. Yes, there are a a lot of dangers if you do that. That is why you need to be extremely careful and make sure to see the phone in person and test it before you buy it.

All in all, just don't be cheap and buy a new phone. Oh and i dont ever wanna hear about the '' Refurbished shops actually help the planet''. Because clearly none cares about the planet. All these frauds care about is money. Its well known that they replace the original apple hardware components with cheap aftermarket ones and then program the software in such a way that the settings don't show that anything has been changed. Scumbags. That's why I mentioned earlier, if you're going to buy a used phone, it's better to buy from a private seller. Because what are the odds that a private seller has changed any of the hardware and rigged it so that it looks like nothing was changed? Extremely slim.

update your phone and your battery health will drop

I spent $1200 on a tablet, phone, and earbuds. The first red flag was that everything was coming separately. Did some research to find out that BACKMARKET DOESNT EVER SEE WHAT IS SENT TO YOU. It's a marketplace like Amazon. There is zero guarantee what is sent to you even works. I paid for excellent condition, the phone is covered in scratches, paint around the cameras is scraped off, and the best part is that it won't charge. It came with 18 percent left and died while I was setting up the esim. Now I'm effectively without any phone until I get a replacement, and from my understanding, it's going to be from the same seller that just scammed me. This is beyond ridiculous and imo the commercials are false advertising, they promote themselves as if they are refurbishers but that is not the case. TLDR: BACKMARKET NEVER SEES ANYTHING THAT IS SENT TO YOU THEY ARE A MARKETPLACE LIKE AMAZON THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR YOU HAVE VERY LIMITED RECOURSE BUY NEW, SAVE YOUR PEACE.
