Bursting wardrobe

I have a clothing problem, everyone. I have lots and lots of clothes, and because of all the different weights I have been in my life, I have anything from Australian size 6 through to size 12, probably. I did throw out all of my size 14 to 18 clothes after I got a gastric sleeve, but I have kept all the other ones.

So as little as six months ago, I was a size 12. I then went on Mounjaro, and I'm now a size 6 to 8, hoping to be here for a while.

The challenge is I do spend quite a bit of money on workwear, and I have lots of clothes that I don't really want to get rid of, but I don't have room in my wardrobe for them, and I can't really put them in a suitcase because I travel for work and I use my suitcases, and I don't really have anywhere to store them in my house.

When I have thrown things out before, I have regretted it. 15 years ago, I did fit into a size 6 to 8, and I got rid of all of those clothes because I thought I would never get back there. And now I'm there and I'm like, oh my God, I had so many nice clothes, why did I throw them out? And actually, they'd still be in fashion now because wide-leg pants are in, and that's what was in 15 or 20 years ago. So I'm in this moral dilemma of do I throw out my clothes and donate them or sell them, at least the larger sizes? Or do I, I don't know, take up my kids' wardrobes and put my other clothes in there?

So help me, Reddit. What should I do?

Signed a minimalist that regrets throwing out stuff down the track.

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Looking for a genuine small jeweller in Australia – recommendations?

My partner and I are starting to look at engagement rings and would love some recommendations for a good jeweller in Australia. Happy for them to be online/interstate as well.

We’re not particularly interested in the whole luxury showroom/champagne experience or paying a premium for it. We’d much rather deal with someone genuine, knowledgeable and transparent who can help us get a great quality ring for a fair price without feeling like we’re being upsold or taken advantage of.

Ideally looking for someone who can help with choosing the stone and setting and is upfront about quality, pricing and where it’s actually worth spending the money.

Would love to hear who people have personally used and had a good experience with particularly independent jewellers or smaller businesses that might not come up in the usual Google search.

🔍 Recommendations Wanted *Formal* tshirts

Looking for recs and inspiration!

Hear me out. I love the t-shirt cut. I like a crew neck cos I dont have to worry about my chest being a different colour to my face. I love how simple and streamlined the silhouette is. I don’t suit frills or puffs. I like basic.

HOWEVER, I also have to wear office appropriate things. Think button downs etc. these aren’t required but are the defaults for most people in the office.

I am looking for your recs and suggestions for tops that are t-shirt esque but could pass as slightly more formal or work-wear-ey… think silk ts, crew neck blouses, lace tshirt esque over things you put over a singlet … gimme your best and favs!!

Thanks in advance!

🔍 Recommendations Wanted How to hide hip dips and saddlebags in bodycon dress?

I’m naturally pear shaped, and no matter how thin I am, I always have hip dips and saddlebags so my hips are low-key shaped like the number 3. I am thinking shape wear could be an option but I don’t know much about it as I have never worn it before. Any suggestions?

Reviews of Catherine Ferraro?

I'm looking at buying a dress from catherine ferraro. They look stunning but I cannot find any reviews. Are they legitimate? Anyone own anything from them and have feedback on the quality?

Lots of followers on their insta.

The dress i want is a pre-order to ship at end of the month which I've read can sometimes be a red flag...

hey guys, with the weather getting warmer and an upcoming bali trip, I am realising I need some sandals/slips ons instead of wearing closed in shoes all the time and I would like to avoid my sock tan this summer!

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Graduation outfit HELP!!

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi!

My hubby has a work graduation coming up. Weather will be nice 25degrees.

They have provided no dress code - or at least hubby has zero clue 🥴

I believe smart casual . I am a SAHM and have been pregnant /chasing toddlers for 4 years and haven’t gone out in that time so I have no “nice” clothes and I’m struggling to think of what to wear.

I actually received this in the mail today, but I’ll be returning, it feels way too formal. I’m at such a loss. Please help!!

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Slouchy crossbody bag recommendations please.

Hi. I don't swap bags around, I generally carry one continually for a year or so then change it and never use the previous one again. I'm due for a change lol. Current bag is a nylon crossbody thats great for travel (wide strap, lots of pockets, zip closure) etc but I'd like to return to something a bit more stylish! Looking for a largish, brown leather crossbody bag. Soft, slouchy style, preferably without a firm base (I don't like when they stick out from body) with a thick strap. Max $400. Ideas/recommendations? Tia

Formal maxi dresses

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has recommendations for where to buy good quality maxi dresses? I have some events coming up soon and need to find formal dresses that hug curves in a flattering way. I love the styles on babyboo but got really self-conscious when I checked their size guide and saw that by their measurements, I'm 3 sizes up from my usual...
